Dino Esposito is one of the world’s authorities on web technology and software architecture. Over years, Dino developed hands-on experience and skills in architecting and building distributed systems for banking and insurance companies and, in general, in industry contexts where the demand for security, optimization, performance, scalability, interoperability is dramatically high. I've been a fan of some of Esposito's other works, but this one was not as helpful. I honestly did not expect much, as the book was written two years ago, and the web world moves at an incredible clip. I was looking for some principles and foundational aspects of web design in an enterprise context. I got a bit of that, but pretty soon Esposito started to become very repetitive. Not sure if he was trying to pad out content or what, but it was annoying / comical at times.

The book will go on my shelf. It does go in depth on developing for jQuery Mobile, iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. I didn't read those sections, as they're not relevant to me right now, but they could be a good reference at some point in the future.

I just got bored of this and gave up :).
