He authored a book, Practical Wisdom . In real life & management, which is an account of practical management techniques from his personal experiences as an entrepreneur. Chittilappilly won many prestigious awards and recognitions like the 'Rashtriya Samman' awarded by the Government of India for the highest tax-payer from Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Finance, "Tourism Man of the Year 2000" by Destination Kerala and "Millennium Businessman of Kerala" by Business Deepika.

A very good inspirational,motivational and educational book for entrepreneurs,managers of any category,business management students and even executives.Systematic and organized revelation of how a human with average intelligence and talent can succeed in life, reaching to the highest level of achievement by consistent hard work,smart and wise implementation of practical wisdom,which comes from the life long experiences.Author successfully guides the reader till the last chapter by using interesting moral inspirational stories which are used to emphasize the point he wants to deliver.He used simple, easily understandable language throughout the book making it suitable for readers of any level of life.

But chapters about his own experiences as a successful entrepreneur are minimum.Rather than a management 'guru',he sounds like a friendly advisor, who is not satisfied by the way things are done in India, especially his own state Kerala, and would like to set things right.

This book will increase your knowledge about business sector equations.A good book to read and appreciate.
