Sometimes a perfect love is the most dangerous thing in the world.
When young, talented Koishi Paz attends a posh Hollywood party, a chance encounter opens the door to a secret world of dark desires. At its heart stands the mysterious Valeria Stregazzi: a woman with a dark past, inner demons, and an irresistible magnetism. Her own hungers aroused, Koishi plunges into Val's world, believing she can stop any time she wants...only to find she cannot.
Inspired by such notorious works as "Story of O" and "Nine and a Half Weeks", "Dangerous" explores a modern woman's journey into submission and transformation. This shocking, unpredictable, and sometimes funny tale is a Twenty-First Century version of "Beauty and the Beast" seasoned with a dash of "Fight Club".
"Dangerous" is literary erotica for the thinking person.

My favorite stories involve the accidental discovery of secret realms hidden in plain sight. My first novel, Dangerous, is one such tale, and explores the underground world of dominance and submission.
I live in Los Angeles, California--another prime example of an alternate reality.
I was a little hesitant to read this book because of the cover and man could I kick myself now for feeling that way, This was an awesome book all the way around and I definitely could, and probably will, read it again.
I loved this book. It was poignant, sexy, disturbing... A true page turner for me. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline never felt dull. At first I thought the end was horrible, but it goes along the lines of each characters' personalities. Very good!
The author, Sandra Kishi Glenn, has done an excellent job in telling this highly erotic tale with literary flair! I really liked the well developed characters: dominant Valeria and her submissive Koishi. The relationship between these two women plays out against a vibrant West Coast backdrop. I could not help but think how very exciting and fulfilling it may be to be dominated and disciplined by another woman. Val, please take me as your most obedient and humble sub and do with me whatever you wish:) Readers will not be disappointed by this book.
I'm writing this as a warning to anyone who is about to read this book expecting a romance novel where the main characters eventually persevere together & solidify their relationship. This book does not end that way, the ending is quite sad & I wish there was some warning of this somewhere because I certainly wouldn't have bothered to read this. It's a fairly well written book but it does not offer any joyous escapism for the reader, it's just sad.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters and emotions are disturbingly believable, and unlike so many of the genre it is well written enough to be savoured rather than skimmed through to find the next setpiece scene. There are echoes of "O", but with enough originality to lift it far above being just a copy. For me this is definitely one to keep and read again while waiting for more from this author.
Amazing story with amazing characters! I fell in love with Kioshi and Val. Their relationship dynamic is a little different, but Glenn does an amazing job getting the readers invested in this relationship. It's a book I know I will enjoy again and can't wait for the sequel.
I am in such a relationship. Not as intense but similar enough. I cried like a baby at Val's letter. Well written and, obviously, moving book. Recommended to anyone interested in a D/s lifestyle.
I found this book to be intriguing but I was not in love with the book. I did enjoy the characters of Val and Koishi but found myself wanting a little more. The story is about a dominatrix who has numerous "dolls" but finds one particular one that sparks something new in her. It is very interesting to see the transition Koishi takes and what she is willing to do for Val but it just really left me wanting more.
I would recommend this book to anyone that was interested in reading a psychological suspense type novel with a just a hint of sex.

i skipped and skimmed most of this book. It pokes at the fine line between bdsm and emotional abuse. Not my thing. The writing is fine, but i just don't find this topic entertaining at all.
