She wished on a star. Uh oh! She should have been careful what she wished for!
Review for this sexy romantic "I love Ms. Reeves' heroines. There is a little bit of them in all of us and that endears them to us even more. Just enough conflict, steam, misunderstandings, and humor."
Darcy Benton is the oldest cliche in the world—a woman in love with her boss. Other than that, she's no-nonsense, practical, mature, and sober. She's just the kind of woman Chase Whitaker wants as head of accounting for his company. She's definitely not the kind of woman he wants in his bed.
Enter Darcy's meddling, matchmaking best friend who has a plan to transform Darcy into a hottie designed to attract Chase's interest. All it takes? A couple of little lies. And that pesky wish on a star.

Equal parts romantic humor and sexy romance, Nobody's Cinderella is Book 1 of San Antone Two-Step. Previously print published as Love Will Find A Way, this ebook edition is expanded, updated, and contains a Linked Table of Contents for convenience in browsing, Joan's Book List, and a Quotation Love at First Sight.
The great thing about all my series is that you don't have to read them in any particular order. Each book stands alone with a definite beginning and ending. (I don't like books with cliffhanger endings that make you feel cheated!)
Joan Reeves is a New York Times and a USA Today bestselling author of Contemporary Romance. Her novels have been published in a half dozen languages, and her ebooks are available at most ebook sellers with audio book and print editions also available. Several of her books are available in French editions through her publisher in France.
Joan lives the philosophy that is the premise of all of her romance novels: "It's never too late to live happily ever after." She lives her happily ever after with her hero—her husband—in the Lone Star State.
When not writing romance—or nonfiction to share what she has learned in life—Joan divides her time between the hustle and bustle of Houston and a small house in the Texas Hill Country where she and her hero sit on the porch at night, look at the star-studded sky, and listen to the coyotes howl.
This is the 3rd book I read by Joan Reeves. This book's story line was okay. Darcy's character was okay. I liked Chase's character. I wished this story focused on the chemistry, passion, & romance then I would have connected more with this story.
I picked this up randomly from KU because I liked the Cinderella makeover trope and this was a really pleasant surprise.
I quite enjoyed the book. The writing worked for me and I liked the the coupe. Will check more from the author as well. This reminded me of a well done Harlequin Presents in the best way. Just a little more detailed.
Darcy fell on love eith her boss when first interviewed. Worked for Chase for two years and had run in with his "girlfriend" aka the rich bitch several times. HEA
I've borrowed a ton of books from a friend, who seemed o have a theme.(wedding agreements) I went with it. I've now read more romance novels in the last week, then I have in my life. I liked this book because it was funny, sweet and a quick read. It's about a geeky accountant, who's been in love with her boss since the moment she meet him.He doesn't know she's alive until her friend interfers and open his eyes.I won't be surprised if this book actually became a series because some of the supporting characters, could easily have their own interesting stories to tell. Overall, it was a good story but just too short for my liking.
This is the first book in the Christmas On Main Street Set. I really enjoyed this except for a little too much reference to sex. It was pretty fast moving and easy to like the main characters. A nice Christmas read. I've rated it a 4.5*.
