First off this series just keeps getting better and better, and I am so happy Maureen self published this because the story is just too juicy! Stan and Prissy, what can I say other than these two are just amazing. The pure love between these two is what most people want and strive to have. Remember this book is a prequel and takes place in the 80's but it doesn't feel that way at all because Maureen's writing style is just supburb. One of my favorite lines from Stan is when he said "You're mine, wife, No other man will EVER lay claim to you. You belong to me, and I belong to you, Do you understand?" This statement by Stan was the epitome of his love for Prissy, and it was just beautiful.

The side story with Manning was a great and unexpected addittion to this story. Manning is just so smart and wise beyond his years. The peak into the minds of teenagers and all they have to go through with their raging hormones, and thoughts about teen sex was just pure genious on Maureen't behalf for adding this to this story. You can tell that Manning and Taylor will have an unbelieveable story down the line. I can't wait for Seducing the Wolf with Taylor & Manning. Maureen please keep this series going and going!

I would recommend reading the Wolf Pack Books in order:

1st Taming the Wolf (Marcus & Samara)
2nd Recipe for Temptation (Michael & Reese)
3rd Tempt Me at Midnight (Quentin & Lexi)
4th Treacherous(Sterling & Celeste) - these are Michael & Marcus' parents. A novella and prequel to the previous books. You can read this first, but makes the other books all the more better if you read it last.
5th Inferno (Stan & Prissy)

Maureen Smith has an amazing flair for telling a “love” story that is both romantic and sensual. So, every time I start a book by the author I have high expectations, but once again Ms. Smith exceeded my expectations. Inferno is engaging from the first page, as the reader learns something is “bothering” both Priscilla and Stanton, but neither is telling the other what is causing their concern, and conflict in their marriage. This flawless narrative takes us on the journey Priscilla and Stanton will travel that leaves their relationship stronger, and more committed to each other. As usual the lovemaking scenes are steamy, and very imaginative. But, the author adds little things that are romantic which shows a strong relationship is based on more than sex. And it is this ability to include the romantic with the sensual which makes Inferno standout as an exceptional story. The characters are well-crafted and feel like family. The secondary storylines are interwoven into the main storyline and deal with timely topics. The issue of teenage love/sexual experiences is one that will be familiar to many, and shows the value of communication between parents and children. The issue of divorce shows that it not only affects the immediate family but also the extended family.
I recommend this delightful book to all fans of romance. And once again as soon as I finish a Maureen Smith book, my next thought I cannot wait for the next book!

Author Maureen Smith's Books are like fine Wine...Aged to perfection...A Vineyard dream. That is the way to describe her stories.

Stanton (Stan) and Priscilla (Prissy) Wolf have been married for 16 years, have 5 rambunctious boys and are living their dreams. All seems perfect, even with the deep betrayal of Stanton's sister-in-law against his brother they are even a tighter family now. But something appears to be off with Stan who is a Lieutenant for the Coronado Fire Department in Colorado and preparing for the Captain's exam, something isn't quite right and Prissy senses it and not only does she sense it, their oldest son Manning does too.

Although Stan and Prissy have a strong and solid marriage, sometimes things come into play that we have no control over. But somethings we do have control over, like being honest with your spouse if there is something going on. Stan's reluctance to be honest is putting a strain on their marriage and Prissy fears, she maybe next in her spouse leaving her as Celeste left her brother-in-law to run off with another man.

So in this story of the Wolf Pack series, we are introduced to Sterling's younger brother Stanton. In earlier stories of the Wolf Pack we got to meet and become embroiled in the lives of Sterling and his sons (Michael and Marcus). So now it is Stanton's turn and I can tell you he is just as Alpha as his older brother. Stan's story and that of his five sons (Manning, Montana, Magnum, Maddox and Mason) is the story that really starts from the beginning. We are also introduced to a younger Quentin aka Q, his momma Georgina and of course Mama Wolf the Matriarch.

Stan realizes that sometimes things are not left better unsaid, in a marriage things need to be expressed to keep your spouse from thinking other things. A door left opened in a marriage allows the devil to come right on in and wreck havoc. Prissy knew either she is going to become a wilted flower or she was going to fight for her marriage and crush the neck of the devil. The story had its twists and turns but you never felt loss or confused. The story was so solid that you felt everything that this couple was going through. Their love making was off the charts *giggling* Woot! Woot! And we got to see how a couple sacrificed and compromised to have an amazing marriage, family and successful careers.

There is a wonderful introduction of young love which leads into the next book "Seducing the Wolf" which is Manning and Taylor's story.

Well Until My Next Review Ciao Bellas!

A must-read for fans of the Wolf Pack. I'm glad Maureen Smith took the time to give us the background on the family, including the kids and their unique personalities. Stan Wolf, by the way, is a 6 foot 5 fireman who's crazy about his wife, Prissy. Sigh.

It was an interesting, sexy read and I liked getting to know the family better. I can't wait to read Manning's story next year to see how he and Taylor turned out.

I love an alpha man, and Maureen Smith knows how to write them so well. Swoon-worthy quotes:
Stan to Prissy: "You trying to start an argument with me? Or are you trying to have me ripping that city apart to find the bold motherf*cker who stepped to my wife?"

and this gem: "What, you think you're leaving me or something?" Stan growled, sending fiery shivers through her. "You think I'd ever let you go anywhere? Huh? You must be out of your damn mind."

One more: "No other man will ever lay claim to you. You belong to me, and I belong to you. Do you understand?"

Prissy laid claim to him, too, when another woman thought she could come between them. Ha! Prissy had to put her in her place and let her know she couldn't have her husband.

I really liked this story. It was sexy, with smoking hot love scenes between this couple - being married for 15 years didn't slow them down one bit. It was also humorous, and included some sweet family moments.

4 stars for the Wolf family.

I'm so envious of Priscilla and Stanton's relationship. Both are successful and their love just gets better with time. It's refreshing to have a "functional" family, both parents and kids are relatively happy, no terrible circumstances to deal with. Even when I thought Stan was cheating, he didn't even consider the notion. The love scenes between them were hot, hot, hot! A marriage made in heaven.

Loved Manning their eldest son's coming of age story. He hates being moved from his friends and family in Atlanta to Coronado for his mother's job. He gets suspended from school defending Taylor - a shy, nerdy girl in his class. Catelyn- the neighborhood fluzee- has her eyes on him, and he doesn't resist. Manning gets a lecture from his father Stan that he's not ready for a physical relationship. Can't wait for his and Taylor's grownup story!

There's also Sterling (Stan's brother) and Celeste story. They are dealing with the divorce and their two sons, but Celeste has a secret- she's pregnant. Prissy and Stan are still upset about her affair, but Prissy listens to Celeste problems. Their sons Michael and Marcus stay with their dad Sterling, while Celeste moves with Grant the man she had the affair with. I believe they will somehow find their HEA together.

Shout out to Mama Wolf!

Well Miss Maureen has done it again.  For a second there she had me very, very worried, I spent the first third of the book on pins and needles but she pulled the rabbit out of the hat and left me laughing, crying, angry and sighing.  I love lasting love stories more than new love and Stan and Prissy showed love does last.  Long live the Wolf Pack!  Now bring on Manny and Taylor, that is a story I am going to thoroughly enjoy.

Another enjoyable and entertaining look at the Wolf family. Prissy and Stanton are an AMAZING couple...enjoyed the way they made time for one another despite their work...their kids...and the daily demands of their busy life. The romance between them was still HOT & SPICY even w/five busy boys of varying ages. And the puppy love romance between Manning and Taylor is so sweet. Once again the whole cast is captivating and ENGAGING. Another GREAT read by Mrs. Smith!

Another great read by Maureen Smith. I love how her story develops, and provides background information for both main and supporting characters. The introduction of Manning and Taylor's relationship was so sweet, I couldn't wait to read their story. This was a stand alone book, even without the steamy love scenes.

Loved it Prissy was not gonna let her man go without a fight. To bad he didn't bother to tell his wife what was going on with him, and maybe he could have saved her all that heart ache.

Loved it

Stan and Pris had a beautiful story of love, forgiveness, and understanding. Their story was a showing that marriage is not always easy and, attires, requires a little more work, but in the end it is all worth it. Great show of family and their adjustments to living in a new place. Good to see Sterling moving to a good place. Looks like Celeste is still a mess and figuring it out. Overall, this book felt like home and family. I'm truly enjoying this series.
