I found this book when my family and I were in P.E.I around 4 years ago, and I should have given it a rating sooner. I got the chance to meet Gail at the restaurant gift shop and she signed my book. There she told me her life mantra which is, “Two feet and a heartbeat” which I adopted into my life, especially so after reading the book. She is a lovely lady with such an inspiring story, and I would recommend this read over and over!

The book is a "page turner" and after reading it you are left with great respect for the writer and with wonder and hope that one can survive the difficulties she did and still come out the other end with love, kindness and humor. This book will tug at your heartstrings and you will be left knowing how strong the human spirit is and how important it is to never give up. I highly recommend this book and I believe that one day you will see this amazing story on the big screen.

Bought this book at a café on Prince Edward Island where Gail, the author was signing her book. Talked briefly with her that day and she seemed like a lady I would like to know more about so I purchased the book from her. I started reading the book and could not put it down it was such a fascinating read. It has everything a person could ever want in a book and her style of writing Is excellent. Would like to have talked to her more that day and if I had of already read the book I would have talked her ear off and asked all kind of questions.
