I love this book. I return regularly to remember what's mine to do and what's not mine. Too often, I've expected others to act in a certain way so that I can be happy. Nope! Not their job. There's something about the way Tom Johnson says this, over and over, that we NEVER truly experience the world (or the people in it); we experience ourselves and our thoughts about the world. Then we like to blame that person (or situation) for our experiences... when it's our thinking that created the problem in the first place.

Just think about it: how much fun are we to be around when we're making everyone else the problem? When we decide how we feel based on what's in the news, and who's doing what in our friend groups. If only they would change, then you'd be happy. Yikes... that's me, when I forget.
