コンビニくん。[Konbini-kun]
To break away from his existence as a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and staying at home all day, Endou Hiroshi starts work at a convenience store. There he meets an arrogant and rude co-worker, Yamai Kouhei, whom he just can’t get along with. However, after seeing a different side of Yamai and getting to know him more, Endou’s impression of him starts to change for the better. But, just as things seem to be going fine for Endou and his return to society, his past comes back to trouble him.

This is my favorite sort of "yaoi" manga. Cute, sweet, not graphic, though there is on page sex and goo. And not overly vague to the point of being confusing. I liked Nakaba and Yamai together and the storyline felt realistic.
The main Nakaba-Yamai storyline is about 75% of the book, then there's a second completely unrelated story for about 30+ pages, which was just meh. I didn't like the pairing or the age gap and the younger of the two looked enough like a couple of the secondary characters in the main story to force me to go back and check.
It's finished off with a good but all too brief vignette featuring Haruka, a supporting character from the main story.
Anyhow, 5 stars for the main story and recommended if this sounds like your sort of thing.

I ended up ordering the Japanese version, but it took so long to arrive that my brain had moved on by the time it showed up, and it just got stuffed on a shelf. Then, six months ago the translation was randomly available again, so I bought that and it joined it's brother on the shelf for six months. Hope some of the other stuff I have sitting around is this good.

I enjoyed the title story very much. I think it was great how Kohei stood up for Nakaba and Nakaba's relief was really palpable when Kohei did it. Even though this is just a short story the pace and the dynamic of their relationship felt nice.
The second story is shorter than "Konbini-kun" and I didn't like it as much but it stood out for me, because one of the guys isn't the usual bishounen. He is not ugly but the way Junko drew his nose makes him stand out not only in her work but others' too. (In my experience it's a nose reserved for side characters, if that makes sense) It's a minor detail but I liked it.
I want to give it five stars, I'm not sure it deserves it but I want to.

Nakaba has dropped out and become a shut-in ever since gossip at school destroyed his reputation. But when his mom gets him a job at a convenience store he takes the opportunity to try to come out of his shell. His coworker, however, is a straight forward and kind of scary guy that Nakaba isn't sure he can get along with, but after a series of events the two get closer and things start to look up for Nakaba.
I felt I was due for a reread. I just wanted something cute and wholesome and this delivers. It's a little sad because it does tackle bullying and Nakaba is so nervous about how his reputation and feelings could affect Yamai. I loved how they approached the romance. Like Yamai was so aware and the way he treated Nakaba is so sweet. It was a nice mix of funny and sad, but still mostly light hearted. I loved the way this was drawn especially the expressions. Just a very cute story overall.

If I had to rate the whole bullying issue, it would have been higher. I pitied Endou so much... poor guy: falling in love with a male classmate; the other classmates notice this, bully him and humiliate him so much he quits school and become a recluse in his house. Until he gets a job in a konbini stori, meets Yamai, who looks tough but turns out to be a good guy. Yamai defends him when his classmates start going to the konbini to bully Endou again.
To that point I was "awwww, poor boy". It was sad to become a recluse only because he was gay. Or to think that he put his unrequited love in trouble only because of his feelings.
So far, good.
Then, because Yamai has been such a nice guy to defend him, Endou falls in love with him.

Not another shoujo manga again! Typical shoujo plot where the loser, quite girl falls in love with her knight for a few kind words. Simple and predictable plot.
And as for Yamai... I don't know, I think he felt pity for Endou more than anything. Yeah, the last chapter they do it, but so? MEH.

I'm writing as a gay male: This was accurate.
Very much so.
The art was delightful and we got the usual sweetness that Junko is fond of in her stories but what I appreciate the most is the accuracy of Nakaba's situation. The fear Nakaba felt is something a lot of us in the lgbt+ community feel in our youth. Being found out when you have no support is the most terrifying thing and it does make you want to put yourself away and simply cease interacting with people and to finally have it portrayed in a yaoi is honestly a blessing.
It turns out well for Nakaba, so don't worry, it's a happy tale you get to enjoy and feel good about. I can't wait for Junko's next title. She's clearly done a bit more research than just on how to sell a book, although she has definitely managed that to, based on how many reviews there are!

Adoro este manga. Lo he leído más de un millón de veces en scans, adoro el dibujo, la historia y los personajes. No me canso de leerlo una y otra vez... Así que cuando vi que lo ha publicado Tomodomo fui corriendo a comprarlo. Ya me lo he leído, una vez más, y me encanta la edición. Como siempre, todo muy cuidado y con una buena traducción. Sólo espero que se animen con más trabajos de la autora.

Η αλήθεια είναι πως δεν είμαι μεγάλη fan των short stories, καθώς προτιμώ τις ιστορίες εκείνες που αναπτύσσονται και εξελίσσονται σε ένα πιο ευρύ πλαίσιο, θα έλεγα. Παρ' όλα ταύτα, κι επειδή αγαπώ την Junko ως δημιουργό και καλλιτέχνη, διάβασα και αυτό το one-shot manga της, μόλις 35 σελίδων -το οποίο περιλαμβάνεται στο manga της ίδιας, Kombini-kun- και φυσικά, τόσο λόγω όγκου όσο και θεματολογίας, δεν απογοητεύτηκα. Άλλωστε, όταν αγαπάς τα yaoi και την δουλειά ενός συγγραφέα σε αυτά, η ποσότητα δεν παίζει τόσο μεγάλο ρόλο, όσο η ουσία των πραγμάτων και στην προκειμένη περίπτωση, ανταποκρίνεται σε αυτό που θα έπρεπε να περιμένουμε.
Κάθε πρωί, ο Haru και ο Ito, συναντιούνται σε ένα συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί, προκειμένου να παίρνουν το πρωινό τους μαζί. Δεδομένου ότι έχουν έξι χρόνια διαφορά, η καθημερινότητά τους είναι πολύ διαφορετική και κατά συνέπεια, για τον Ito, πολύ πιο απαιτητική, από την στιγμή που είναι ενήλικος και εργάζεται, έχοντας συναίσθηση των πρέπει που του επιβάλλονται. Όμως ο Haru, που η μοναδική του έννοια είναι το σχολείο και ο εραστής του, ανησυχεί όταν ο δεύτερος καθυστερεί συνεχώς το τελευταίο διάστημα, χάνοντας έτσι πολύτιμο χρόνο από τη σχέση τους και προβληματισμένος, αναρωτιέται αν τον αγαπάει πραγματικά και αν οι δυο τους μπορούν να έχουν πραγματικά ένα κοινό μέλλον.
Το story είναι πολύ απλό, αλλά όπως μας έχει συνηθίσει η Junko, καθημερινό, ρεαλιστικό -μέσα στο ομοφυλοφιλικό πλαίσιο που αυτό διαδραματίζεται- και κυρίως, αληθινό, έτσι ώστε να μπορούμε να ταυτιστούμε μαζί του. Ουσιαστικά, θίγει τις δυσκολίες που υπάρχουν σε μια σχέση, όταν ανάμεσα στους δύο του ζεύγους υπάρχει μια κάποια διαφορά ηλικίας, και το πως αυτοί πρέπει να προσπαθήσουν να διατηρήσουν τις ισορροπίες που απαιτούνται, καταλαβαίνοντας ο ένας τα θέλω του άλλου, αλλά παράλληλα, και τα πρέπει που επιτάσσει η καθημερινότητα, κυρίως στο μεγαλύτερο ηλικιακά άτομο της δυάδας.
Αν και το manga είναι πολύ μικρό, όπως ήδη προείπα, οφείλω να ομολογήσω πως είναι από τα πλέον καλοδουλεμένα, σε θέμα σχεδίου, από μεριάς της Junko, κάτι που οφείλεται πιθανότατα στο γεγονός πως η πίεση της ολοκλήρωσής του, ήταν πολύ μικρότερη. Η αλήθεια είναι πως θα μου άρεσε να δω το συγκεκριμένο concept σε μια πιο ολοκληρωμένη, ή για να το θέσω πιο σωστά, σε μια κάπως πιο εκτεταμένη μορφή, αλλά δεν πειράζει. Παραμένει μια μικρή απόλαυση και μια ιστορία πολύ τρυφερή και γεμάτη αγάπη που όντας λάτρης του είδους, έκανε την καρδιά μου να χτυπήσει και να μου θυμίσει κάτι από εμένα. Είμαι βέβαιη πως και σε σας, θα θυμίσει διάφορα και τελικά, αυτό ίσως και να είναι το ζητούμενο.

Ένα από τα πιο γνωστά yaoi manga της Junko, που είναι και από τα πρώτα της δημιουργήματα, είναι το "Kombini-kun", το οποίο πέραν της Ιαπωνικής έκδοσης, μπορεί κανείς να το βρει και σε επίσημη μεταφρασμένη version, στην αγγλική γλώσσα. Το manga αυτό το οποίο αποτελείται από 5 κεφάλαια και μια one-shot εμβόλιμο manga, το "Youtful Love" που θα σχολιάσουμε σε άλλη ανάρτηση, και φτάνει τις 177 σελίδες κυκλοφόρησε αρχικά σε τμηματικά μέρη, στο περιοδικό "Chara" των εκδόσεων Tokuma Shoten, οι οποίες λίγο καιρό μετά έβγαλαν στην αγορά ένα ολοκληρωμένο τεύχος.
ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ ΤΟΥ MANGA:
Ο Endou Hiroshi έχοντας παρατήσει το σχολείο και όντας ανειδίκευτος, χωρίς εργασιακή εμπειρία ή ολοκληρωμένες σπουδές, πρέπει να ασχοληθεί με κάτι έτσι ώστε να μην θεωρείται παράσιτο. Για τον λόγο αυτό, ξεκινάει να εργάζεται στο παντοπωλείο του θείου του, προσπαθώντας να προσαρμοστεί στο νέο περιβάλλον, αλλά και τις απαιτήσεις της νέας του δουλειάς. Βέβαια, το γεγονός ότι καλείται να συνεργαστεί με τον Yamai Kouhei, έναν αγενή και εγωπαθή υπάλληλο του καταστήματος, δεν κάνει την κατάσταση πιο εύκολη γι' αυτό��, δημιουργώντας του μάλλον ακόμα μεγαλύτερο άγχος. Ωστόσο, εξαιτίας ενός τυχαίου περιστατικού στο οποίο ο Endou θα γίνει μάρτυρας άθελά του, μέσω του οποίου θα δει ένα εντελώς διαφορετικό πρόσωπο του Yamai, οι δύο νεαροί θα έρθουν πιο κοντά, ξεκινώντας να κάνουν παρέα. Κι εκεί που όλα μοιάζουν να μπαίνουν σε μια σειρά, το παρελθόν του Endou του ξαναχτυπά την πόρτα, ως αποτέλεσμα της επιλογής του να επιστρέψει στην καθημερινότητα, κάνοντάς τον να συνειδητοποιήσει πως τίποτα δεν μπορεί να μείνει κρυφό, πολύ περισσότερο να ξεχαστεί, ακόμα κι αν παλέψεις γι' αυτό. Έρχεται αντιμέτωπος με τον λόγο που αναγκάστηκε να εγκαταλείψει το σχολείο, αλλά και να αλλάξει τη ζωή του ολόκληρη, φτάνοντας στο σημείο όπου πρέπει να πάρει σημαντικές αποφάσεις.
Η ΑΠΟΨΗ ΜΟΥ:
- Θα ξεκινήσω από το... αρνητικό, αν μπορούμε να το πούμε έτσι, του συγκεκριμένου manga. Αν και γενικά οι ιστορίες της Junko δεν χαρακτηρίζονται για την λεπτομέρεια των γύρων χώρων, αφού προτιμά να εστιάζει την προσοχή και το ενδιαφέρον της στους πρωταγωνιστές της και κυρίως, στις εκφράσεις των προσώπων τους, στο συγκεκριμένο τεύχος έχω την αίσθηση πως υπάρχει ακόμα μεγαλύτερη κενότητα από αυτήν που θα ήθελα. Το σκηνικό, παραείναι μίνιμαλ και κάποιες στιγμές, η αλήθεια είναι πως ένιωσα να με κουράζει αυτό, όσον αφορά την ανάγνωση. Βέβαια, επειδή είναι από τις πρώτες της δουλειές, οφείλω να είμαι κάπως πιο ελαστική, οπότε και θα το κάνω.
- Πάμε τώρα σε αυτό που μου άρεσε περισσότερο, το οποίο δεν είναι άλλο από το main theme του manga που με έναν πολύ απλό, διακριτικό, αλλά άμεσο συνάμα τρόπο, στοχεύει στο bulling και στα αποτελέσματα που μπορεί αυτό να αποφέρει. Ουσιαστικά, ο Endou, επέλεξε να οδηγήσει την ζωή του σε μια πορεία που θα φέρει κατώτερα αποτελέσματα από αυτά που θα μπορούσε να είχε, και αυτό επειδή εγκατέλειψε το σχολείο. Και ποιος ήταν ο λόγος; Μα φυσικά, οι σεξουαλικές του προτιμήσεις! Και ναι, αυτό, μπορεί να αποτελεί ένα μεμονωμένο παράδειγμα στην προκειμένη, όσον αφορά την ενδοσχολική βία και τρομοκρατία, δεν σημαίνει όμως ότι δεν υπάρχει, και μάλιστα σε μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό απ' ότι ίσως πιστεύουμε. Αλλά δεν βρίσκεται εκεί η ουσία, στην ταυτοποίηση δηλαδή που μπορεί να έχει το bulling, αλλά στο που μπορεί αυτό να οδηγήσει.
- Συμπληρωματικά με την παραπάνω παρατήρηση, είναι πολύ ενδιαφέρον ο τρόπος με την οποία προσεγγίζει την ψυχολογία, όχι μόνο του Endou, αλλά και όλων όσων εμπλέκονται στην ιστορία του, στο πρώτο ερωτικό του σκίρτημα που κατέληξε σε πανωλεθρία. Η συγγραφέας ξεκαθαρίζει πςω σε κάθε περίπτωση, κανένα εμπλεκόμενο μέλος σε έναν τέτοιο κύκλο δεν μπορεί να έχει την ιδανική κατάληξη, αν δεν ακολουθήσει ένα συγκεκριμένο μονοπάτι. Για τον Endou, είναι η αποδοχή αυτού που είναι και κατ' επέκτασιν, το να καταφέρει να αποτινάξει τους φόβους του. Για τον Kunieda, το να ξεχάσει το παρελθόν ή αν όχι να το ξεχάσει, να το ξεπεράσει, δείχνοντας στους γύρω τους πως ότι συνέβη δεν είναι αρκετό για να καθορίσει το μέλλον του, αλλά ούτε και ότι είναι πρόθυμος στον οποιονδήποτε να εμπλακεί σε αυτό, συναισθηματικά ή μη. Για τον Yamai, πάλι, τα πράγματα είναι πιο απλά, όντας ο πιο ψύχραιμος και συνειδητοποιημένος χαρακτήρας, αποδεικνύοντας πως η σταθερότητα, συναισθηματική και πνευματική, είναι ότι σημαντικότερο μπορεί να επιζητήσει κανείς.
- Από συναισθηματικής προσέγγισης, η Junko, τα καταφέρνει περίφημα για ακόμα μία φορά, με ένα ζευγάρι που θεωρητικά είναι αταίριαστο και όμως, όταν οι δυο τους είναι μαζί, είναι αξιαγάπητοι. Και ναι, η ιστορία τους, έχει μια σταδιακή εξέλιξη που συνδυάζει την αθωότητα με το σέξι, εξαιτίας των δύο εκ διαμέτρου αντίθετων χαρακτήρων η οποία είναι αρκούντως απολαυστική.
ΕΝ ΚΑΤΑΚΛΕΙΔΙ:
Είναι Junko... είναι εγγύηση... και ναι, το ξέρω, έχω καταντήσει κουραστική, γραφική και επικίνδυνα προβλέψιμη, με μια δόση επανάληψης. Αλλά τι να κάνουμε που αγαπάμε τις ιστορίες της και τον απλό τρόπο που καταφέρνει να μας τις μεταφέρει περνώντας μας τόσα πολλά και όμορφα μηνύματα. Και ειδικά στις μέρες μας που το bulling είναι πιο επίκαιρο από ποτέ,πιστεύω πως θα καταφέρει να σας αγγίξει με έναν ιδιαίτερο τρόπο, αφού υπερασπίζεται τη διαφορετικότητα, όχι μόνο ως ιδέα, αλλά κυρίως ως συναίσθημα. Πολύ τρυφερό, σέξι όσο πρέπει, καθόλου προκλητικό, αλλά αντίθετα ικανό να συγκινήσει και να προβληματίσει και σε ένα δεύτερο επίπεδο, το "Kombini-kun" είναι ένα manga που αναμφίβολα θα αγαπήσετε.

Το manga αυτό το οποίο αποτελείται από 5 κεφάλαια και μια one-shot εμβόλιμο manga, το "Youtful Love" που θα σχολιάσουμε σε άλλη ανάρτηση, και φτάνει τις 177 σελίδες κυκλοφόρησε αρχικά σε τμηματικά μέρη, στο περιοδικό "Chara" των εκδόσεων Tokuma Shoten, οι οποίες λίγο καιρό μετά έβγαλαν στην αγορά ένα ολοκληρωμένο τεύχος.
ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ ΤΟΥ MANGA:
Ο Endou Hiroshi έχοντας παρατήσει το σχολείο και όντας ανειδίκευτος, χωρίς εργασιακή εμπειρία ή ολοκληρωμένες σπουδές, πρέπει να ασχοληθεί με κάτι έτσι ώστε να μην θεωρείται παράσιτο. Για τον λόγο αυτό, ξεκινάει να εργάζεται στο παντοπωλείο του θείου του, προσπαθώντας να προσαρμοστεί στο νέο περιβάλλον, αλλά και τις απαιτήσεις της νέας του δουλειάς. Βέβαια, το γεγονός ότι καλείται να συνεργαστεί με τον Yamai Kouhei, έναν αγενή και εγωπαθή υπάλληλο του καταστήματος, δεν κάνει την κατάσταση πιο εύκολη γι' αυτό��, δημιουργώντας του μάλλον ακόμα μεγαλύτερο άγχος. Ωστόσο, εξαιτίας ενός τυχαίου περιστατικού στο οποίο ο Endou θα γίνει μάρτυρας άθελά του, μέσω του οποίου θα δει ένα εντελώς διαφορετικό πρόσωπο του Yamai, οι δύο νεαροί θα έρθουν πιο κοντά, ξεκινώντας να κάνουν παρέα. Κι εκεί που όλα μοιάζουν να μπαίνουν σε μια σειρά, το παρελθόν του Endou του ξαναχτυπά την πόρτα, ως αποτέλεσμα της επιλογής του να επιστρέψει στην καθημερινότητα, κάνοντάς τον να συνειδητοποιήσει πως τίποτα δεν μπορεί να μείνει κρυφό, πολύ περισσότερο να ξεχαστεί, ακόμα κι αν παλέψεις γι' αυτό. Έρχεται αντιμέτωπος με τον λόγο που αναγκάστηκε να εγκαταλείψει το σχολείο, αλλά και να αλλάξει τη ζωή του ολόκληρη, φτάνοντας στο σημείο όπου πρέπει να πάρει σημαντικές αποφάσεις.
Η ΑΠΟΨΗ ΜΟΥ:
- Θα ξεκινήσω από το... αρνητικό, αν μπορούμε να το πούμε έτσι, του συγκεκριμένου manga. Αν και γενικά οι ιστορίες της Junko δεν χαρακτηρίζονται για την λεπτομέρεια των γύρων χώρων, αφού προτιμά να εστιάζει την προσοχή και το ενδιαφέρον της στους πρωταγωνιστές της και κυρίως, στις εκφράσεις των προσώπων τους, στο συγκεκριμένο τεύχος έχω την αίσθηση πως υπάρχει ακόμα μεγαλύτερη κενότητα από αυτήν που θα ήθελα. Το σκηνικό, παραείναι μίνιμαλ και κάποιες στιγμές, η αλήθεια είναι πως ένιωσα να με κουράζει αυτό, όσον αφορά την ανάγνωση. Βέβαια, επειδή είναι από τις πρώτες της δουλειές, οφείλω να είμαι κάπως πιο ελαστική, οπότε και θα το κάνω.
- Πάμε τώρα σε αυτό που μου άρεσε περισσότερο, το οποίο δεν είναι άλλο από το main theme του manga που με έναν πολύ απλό, διακριτικό, αλλά άμεσο συνάμα τρόπο, στοχεύει στο bulling και στα αποτελέσματα που μπορεί αυτό να αποφέρει. Ουσιαστικά, ο Endou, επέλεξε να οδηγήσει την ζωή του σε μια πορεία που θα φέρει κατώτερα αποτελέσματα από αυτά που θα μπορούσε να είχε, και αυτό επειδή εγκατέλειψε το σχολείο. Και ποιος ήταν ο λόγος; Μα φυσικά, οι σεξουαλικές του προτιμήσεις! Και ναι, αυτό, μπορεί να αποτελεί ένα μεμονωμένο παράδειγμα στην προκειμένη, όσον αφορά την ενδοσχολική βία και τρομοκρατία, δεν σημαίνει όμως ότι δεν υπάρχει, και μάλιστα σε μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό απ' ότι ίσως πιστεύουμε. Αλλά δεν βρίσκεται εκεί η ουσία, στην ταυτοποίηση δηλαδή που μπορεί να έχει το bulling, αλλά στο που μπορεί αυτό να οδηγήσει.
- Συμπληρωματικά με την παραπάνω παρατήρηση, είναι πολύ ενδιαφέρον ο τρόπος με την οποία προσεγγίζει την ψυχολογία, όχι μόνο του Endou, αλλά και όλων όσων εμπλέκονται στην ιστορία του, στο πρώτο ερωτικό του σκίρτημα που κατέληξε σε πανωλεθρία. Η συγγραφέας ξεκαθαρίζει πςω σε κάθε περίπτωση, κανένα εμπλεκόμενο μέλος σε έναν τέτοιο κύκλο δεν μπορεί να έχει την ιδανική κατάληξη, αν δεν ακολουθήσει ένα συγκεκριμένο μονοπάτι. Για τον Endou, είναι η αποδοχή αυτού που είναι και κατ' επέκτασιν, το να καταφέρει να αποτινάξει τους φόβους του. Για τον Kunieda, το να ξεχάσει το παρελθόν ή αν όχι να το ξεχάσει, να το ξεπεράσει, δείχνοντας στους γύρω τους πως ότι συνέβη δεν είναι αρκετό για να καθορίσει το μέλλον του, αλλά ούτε και ότι είναι πρόθυμος στον οποιονδήποτε να εμπλακεί σε αυτό, συναισθηματικά ή μη. Για τον Yamai, πάλι, τα πράγματα είναι πιο απλά, όντας ο πιο ψύχραιμος και συνειδητοποιημένος χαρακτήρας, αποδεικνύοντας πως η σταθερότητα, συναισθηματική και πνευματική, είναι ότι σημαντικότερο μπορεί να επιζητήσει κανείς.
- Από συναισθηματικής προσέγγισης, η Junko, τα καταφέρνει περίφημα για ακόμα μία φορά, με ένα ζευγάρι που θεωρητικά είναι αταίριαστο και όμως, όταν οι δυο τους είναι μαζί, είναι αξιαγάπητοι. Και ναι, η ιστορία τους, έχει μια σταδιακή εξέλιξη που συνδυάζει την αθωότητα με το σέξι, εξαιτίας των δύο εκ διαμέτρου αντίθετων χαρακτήρων η οποία είναι αρκούντως απολαυστική.
ΕΝ ΚΑΤΑΚΛΕΙΔΙ:
Είναι Junko... είναι εγγύηση... και ναι, το ξέρω, έχω καταντήσει κουραστική, γραφική και επικίνδυνα προβλέψιμη, με μια δόση επανάληψης. Αλλά τι να κάνουμε που αγαπάμε τις ιστορίες της και τον απλό τρόπο που καταφέρνει να μας τις μεταφέρει περνώντας μας τόσα πολλά και όμορφα μηνύματα. Και ειδικά στις μέρες μας που το bulling είναι πιο επίκαιρο από ποτέ,πιστεύω πως θα καταφέρει να σας αγγίξει με έναν ιδιαίτερο τρόπο, αφού υπερασπίζεται τη διαφορετικότητα, όχι μόνο ως ιδέα, αλλά κυρίως ως συναίσθημα. Πολύ τρυφερό, σέξι όσο πρέπει, καθόλου προκλητικό, αλλά αντίθετα ικανό να συγκινήσει και να προβληματίσει και σε ένα δεύτερο επίπεδο, το "Kombini-kun" είναι ένα manga που αναμφίβολα θα αγαπήσετε.

I have to say I was a little skeptical reading this Manga. I've only ever read one other manga created by Junko and my god I HATED it. Okay I liked the first story in it but hated the rest. I'll admit I wasn't going to try anything by this author again until a friend on book amino recommended trying some of the author's other works. This one caught my eye and I'm happy to report I really liked it.
This was so cute. The relationship was adorable. A little Insta love for my liking and, it seemed it just started and the manga was ending but I would defiantly re read this. It reminded me of that first story I liked in the previous Manga. Thankfully the main couple on the cover took up the whole Manga so we had no other stories I could hate. After reading this I know the author can do some really good work. The art was also excellent. I'd be interested in trying another one of Junko mangas.
Damn though I was so happy when Yamai kicked them bullies. I have to say I was pissed with what they did. Unfortunately shit like that still happens today and it just makes me sick. I hate assholes.
Overall this was actually really good. Maybe I judged the author to quickly with the last manga. I'd be happy to try more of her works. I now see what my friend was saying when she said Junko writes cute manga.

Una historia llena de sentimientos. Ser joven no es fácil y menos cuando estás descubriendo quien eres y lo que te gusta, las personas pueden ser crueles y no siempre son lo que aparentan. Llena de emociones personales que permiten que el lector se identifique, un desarrollo excelente de personajes que permiten conocer a fondo la motivación y temor del principal, lo que lleva a lector a un fácil entendimiento con el mismo.
Es una historia muy bien lograda con los momentos justos, con los personajes bien establecidos que dan paso a una interacción estimulante. Una historia completa y con un centro claro: aceptarte como eres para poder ser aceptados por otros. Qué en el amor es la misma cosa.

Es un manga que ya leí en digital hace tiempo pero que ahora han publicado en España y a mi me ha encantado y la verdad que cuando lo leí en su día no supe valorar todos los temas que trata y que son muy importante y eso es lo que más me ha gustado de este manga y dentro de poco tendréis reseña en el blog

This is positively adorable and heartwarming. The included, unrelated short story isn't quite as good, although it's theme of trust in a relationship is nicely shown, but the main plot is a lovely romance, and a good introduction to yaoi for the curious but wary reader.

Generalmente me dan miedo estos Mangas de solo 1 tomo, ya q pienso q no van a estar bien desarrollados, pero me equivoque 😅, me gustó mucho y la historia es muy tierna. Pd. aunque si me gustaría que no fueran de solo un tomo, porque ahora me quedé con ganas de seguir leyendo más de ellos. 😂😂

Jeżeli się zapytacie czy można w wieku 20 lat zacząć przygodę z mangami odpowiem Wam jedno..można,a wręcz zachęcam do tego 😄 To idealna odskocznia pomiędzy grubymi,ciężkimi książkami,które najczęściej lubię czytać.☺️ Problemy książkoholików..Sama manga była niby +18,ale moim zdaniem była niczym przy takich przyznajmy Dworach S.J.Maas 😂 Wątek LGBT był dosadnie pokazany i to naprawdę tylko tyle.Kreska była śliczna,a przy tym różnorodna.Znowu był dosyć ważny wątek dla kociarzy..także wiecie,nie zmuszam ale zachęcam 😹 Mangę jak to ja przeczytałam na jednym posiedzeniu.Ale i tak byłam pozytywnie zaskoczona,bo dość dużo dialogów było tym razem zawartych w standardowym formacie mangi.Historia o zaufaniu,poznawaniu siebie, akceptacji, miłości, przełamaniu własnych leków oraz zmierzeniu się z przeszłością..gorąco Wam polecam 😄

I can't recommend this one enough! It's light and fluffy and so sweet, without any of the unhealthy relationships that seem to plague BL. I have a definite fondness for Junko's art, so maybe I'm biased, but it's certainly good to look at too.
The story isn't complicated (a plus, for a one-volume deal): a former-hikikkomori gets a job at a convenience store and comes out of his shell with the help of one of his co-workers. There are themes of homophobia throughout, but they're worked very well into the story and don't feel overdone, either. And have I mentioned that it's sweet? It's so sweet. You'll be having toothache not halfway through.
Pretty much the epitome of what one-volume BL stories can be, for me.

Another great story. I originally read this online a long time ago and am finally happy to own it physically! Here is one that is perfect to add to my home library! LOL!

This story has pretty much everything. Romance, action, adventure, pain, and that so many heart throbbing moments that keep you blushing and on your toes with anticipation. I have re-read this story many times and I will most likely never get tired of it. It is wonderful. So if you haven't read any of Junko's stories, read this and then pick up some more since you won't be saddened by the experience!

I actually like the style very much, but the expressions the main characters had all the time just annoyed me. The trembling bottom lip, his crying face and this horrible loving glance... Urk, not good! That's why I could not rate it five stars, it annoyed me too much. The short story itself is sweet and I really enjoyed reading it!
*edit* Now I'm starting to think maybe I should rate it five stars despite the facial expressions. Because for such a short story it was really good.

I bought this on a whim and it was such a good life decision. The characters were relatable, adorable and sometimes surprising, and the relationship between the protagonists was shockingly sweet. It completely avoided all of the usual (read: harmful) yaoi tropes, which was lovely, especially since it's just the one self-contained volume. Loved it to bits.
EDIT: Just found out this is the same mangaka who did "Star-Like Words", which should have been an indication of how good this was going to be! Her art style is really lovely; I thought Endo's character design looked familiar!

Very cute story and non-standard in the way that the characters deal with their sexuality. There's no 'I'm not gay but I like you' or other similar themes. Instead, we meet two very different guys and see how their sweet relationship begins but they're both aware of their sexuality. Its a great example of how just one person's acceptance can heal you and the impact would've been much greater if they weren't both gay and they didn't end up falling in love... but where's the fun in that? ;P

Those guys were assholes, really stupid. Just bcs he liked another guy they made fun of him. The sad thing is that this still happens today, and I think that ppl like this are the one with the problems, not a guy that loves another guy or a girl that likes a girl.
I really loved Yamai he was really protective. Endou, can finally be happy. I really loved this couple, the story was sweet.

OMG, this was just sooooo adorable. <3 <3 Junko really makes the most amazing things. I would highly recommend this manga. It is sad, it is funny, it is cute, adorable and so much more. Be warned, the first four chapters are clean, but the last one shoots up to 18+ range.

The subtle cruelty of bullying was briefly yet realistically portrayed in this story which tugged at my heart strings the most. This singular element for me is what sets this manga apart from the rest.

Short story, but cute. A boy is bullied and stops going to school but then finds acceptance. Not too deep of a plot, but probably just right for a short story.
