Jimmy Neutron Sick Day is about a young boy who is a genius. He stays in the same grade as all of his friends so he can enjoy his age group. Jimmy likes to do science experiments. Sometimes before perfecting them he tests them out on himself and his friends. The fun part about Jimmy Neutron and his experiments is that they will sometimes go terribly wrong. In this book Jimmy doesn’t want to go to school one day, so he invents a "band-aid sick patch" that he can take on and off as he pleases. This allows him and his friends’ to trick their parents into letting them stay home from school while using the “band-aid patch”. This idea backfires on them when the sick patch dissolves into their body. They now have to figure out a way to get the sick patch out from their bodies. This requires them to shrink down and go into one of their friend’s bodies to kill offal the bad bacteria and cells that are causing their permanent illness.

This was a pretty good Jimmy Neutron story book. Jimmy Neutron is a genius but is in the same grade as his age; so he's the boy that comes up with all kinds of science experiments and often dragging his two best friends along with him. And in his class are two 'girl' friends one of which is in competition with him to be the 'best'. The five children are fun to follow what they get into.

This story Jimmy comes up with an experiment to make the kids sick then they can be well when they want helping them be able to miss school for the day. BUT the experiment backfires on them and they stay sick. SO Jimmy and his friends have to shrink down to size and enter his other friend to find the cell that is causing them to be sick to make the medicine to make them better. So kind of teaches readers how a cell will make them sick and how shots are made.
