The fourth edition of the "Handbook of Tables for Mathematics" contained in the, notation and usage. This detailed work on the nomenclature and symbolism as it used in celestial mechanics was prepared under the guidance and supervision of Doctor Samuel Herrick Professor of astronomy and engineering at the University of California. Many of the features are to be observed in these new additions such a completely reorganized set of integral tables which include an additional hundred and 50 formulas; a table on Z-transforms; an extended section on hyperbolic functions with tables on inverse hyperbolic functions and the Gudermanian; an extension to complement the present financial tables. Other sections of been updated and extended wherever it seemed to be advantageous to users of mathematic tables.
