Bob Stewart was a Marin County naturalist for many years. His frequent nature walks were probably the most all-encompassing ecological educational activities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Bob is an expert on native plants, birds, mushrooms, mammals . . . and butterflies. Bob has since retired, leaving behind a legacy of ecological appreciation and knowledge. This photo book of California Butterflies being an excellent example! My only critique: I wish he had been able to photograph and include every California species!
