I love the Idiot's Guide series. My Hindu husband debated some of the content in this book, but overall it was well-organized and useful for my research.

A fantastic book on the chakras, whether for people well schooled or not. It has great academic information , as well as practical.

I can't say this book changed my life or anything, but I does have some very helpful information in it- if you treat is as a guide for focused meditation on different aspects of your life. I'm not sure I believe in Chakras or much of what this book is actually about, but I like the guided meditations and yoga poses, and I love the charts in this book, detailing all the different things aligned with each chakra. I'm so all about charts.

I know, I know, and "Idiot's Guide," but this did the trick, for the trick I needed done. ;)

It provides the fundamentals and then some, giving me a better understanding of which way to turn with this particular system of beliefs. The popular "Wheels of Life" is probably too much for me just yet, or more accurately: unnecessary now.

For those interested in the "alternative," this is a good book. This book teaches you about the chakras (bodies of energy) in your body. The overall purpose of this book is a noble one -learn how you can embrace yourself.

Great reintroduction on the topic. I also learned some new connections that I apply to yoga.

A useful and accessible starting point. Before I read it I was vaguely aware of the concept of chakras. Now I feel more informed and better placed to choose further reading on the topic.
