John Shore is an author and blogger who is a great friend to LGBTQ people, particularly those who have been tormented and abused by churches and Christians. (He is a straight, married, liberal Christian.) This particular little book has very little to do with any of that; it is a collection of mostly humorous essays. Check out John's blog (johnshore.com) to get a good idea of his style. You can buy his books on Amazon or B&N.
I love John Shore's books. There is a "real-ness" about him underscored by a bedrock of compassion. Plus, he is funny. Humor is not easy to write so I admire the thread of humor that runs through all of his books, even the ones that deal with serious subjects. "Ha!" is a collection of essays on various topics. This is definitely a book that I will return to when I want to smile.
Funny, funny, funny. This book kept me laughing in the way most of Mr. Shore's books usually do. He has a talent for connecting with people over everyday things, including some things you would never even think to write about.
