The second chapter was especially good. Some of the others were too specific or required too much deep knowledge of the topic for me. Lots of interesting ideas for sure.
First I have to admit I did not finish reading this book. While is it obviously full of great information, it was not what I expected or hoped. I was looking for a casual but informative read on Quaker women with short biographies on many notable women through history. This is a collection of very scholarly articles by various authors about the role women held in the Quaker religion both in the United States and in England. Many of the articles cover overlapping information. All the articles have excellent source information. I do not recommend this book to anyone but serious scholars who are studying Quakerism or women's rights.
