Adam Blade is the house name for the Working Partners Ltd. ghostwriters who write the Beast Quest and Sea Quest series.

Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father’s paintings of historic English battles – which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father’s office. Adam’s father said they were a Blade family heirloom.

As a boy, Adam would spend days imagining who could have first owned the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character – Tom, the bravest boy warrior of them all. The idea for Beast Quest was born.

When Adam grew up and decided that he wanted to be a writer, he was stuck for ideas – until he remembered the old sword and shield, and the imaginary boy he had created when he was young. Adam decided to bring Tom fully to life so that readers could go on the kind of adventures that he always wanted to when he was that age… And still does, even though he’s grown up!

When he’s not writing Beast Quest books, Adam enjoys visiting museums and ancient battle sites. His main hobbies are fencing and football. He also spends a lot of time at home running around after his two exotic pets – a tarantula named Ziggy, and a capuchin monkey named Omar. These little rascals were the inspiration for two of the Beasts that Tom faces on his Quest – Arachnid and Claw.

Sadly, Adam does not have his own Fire-Dragon or Horse-Man. But he really wishes he did!

I liked this book because Tom defeated the Spider King with two things: A beast (a forgot what the beast was) and a stalactite. Arachnid, the Spider King, was trying to eat Silver, but Tom helped Silver escape. Silver is the wolf. Arachnid, the Spider King, had so much armor that Elena's arrows had no effect. Only the stalactite had an effect, but it had a big effect.

we all know from my reviews of the first quest line in beast quest that miss tartok is my favorite beast. so being able to see her again was a freaking blast!

only four stars because i wish that the crystals would have been explored a little more and because with the gauntlets i wish we could have seen tom engage in a sword battle with arachnid.

other than that, a great installment in the series!

This is definitely one of my favourite beast quest books, the story line is brilliant from start to finish and you get a good chunk of battle in this one when sometimes they are cut too short. The pre battle is great as well with some twist and turns on the journey.

This was the very first book in the series I read, and it's very good for introducing more scary books. I LOVED IT

My son wanted to share his love for these books and insisted I read one. It was cute, and the creatures and characters were vivid

Great battle scenes in this one, and the descriptions of Arachnid spinning up his victims in spider silk got looks of real concern and disgust from my son.

Arachnid the King of Spiders is a web of narrative brilliance, ensnaring readers with its unparalleled tension and mythic grandeur. Arachnid himself is a creature of nightmarish majesty, his many legs symbolizing the inescapable grip of fear that binds us all.

Tom’s struggle against this eight-legged monarch is nothing short of heroic—a battle that transcends mere action to explore the fragility of bravery. Lines like “Tom swung his sword as the webs closed in around him,” capture both the physical stakes and the emotional depth of his quest with exquisite precision.

Every page drips with suspense, and the climax—set within Arachnid’s shadowy lair—is a masterwork of atmospheric terror and triumph. This is not simply a book; it is an existential meditation wrapped in the guise of a children’s adventure.

The story of Arachnid The Spider King was about two kids named Tom and Elenna. They both along with their wolf run into horrifying beasts sent by a evil sorcerer to kill all four of them.At the end of these stories Tom has to either kill these beasts or unlock them from a horrible spell. Overall my review on this book is that I really liked it because it has several climaxes and adventures.

Not the best book in the series. But still pretty alright. Tom does a lot of falling, and it seems like the further into the series we get, the dumber about using his enchanted items he gets. Elena wimps out on us in this book took

My daughter checked this out at school. I would not call it literature but it had some good themes. It conveyed perseverance and a willingness to help others in need. The large spider and beast were a bonus...LOL
