In this new series based on the best-selling book Left Behind, Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye present the Rapture and Tribulation through the eyes of four young friends—Judd, Vici, Lionel, and Ryan. As the world falls in around them, they band together to find faith and fight the evil forces that threaten their lives.

This was an engaging read. The story revolves around 4 kids: Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan. They were left behind during the rapture. In this installment, I thought the story was great. It continues with the 4 kids at Judd's house as their current residence. This story was more about Ryan and Lionel than Judd and Vicki. We see Ryan and his acceptance of the Lord. Also, Lionel trying to save his uncle, André.
I thought the characters were great. Judd is the oldest and I felt as the oldest of the group, he wants everyone to be alright. He is the leader of the group in a way because he has the ability to make the others listen to him. Vicki is the only girl, but I thought her character showed more maturity as she grew into her faith. Lionel was really brace in this book because he went into his house to save his uncle without a moment's hesitation. Ryan is still processing everything. He feels happier now because he allowed the Lord somehow in his heart. However, I think he could grow even further in his faith of God.
The ending was a bit of a let down for me. As a Christian, I thought the writing was powerful. The story was great, and engaged. I can't wait to see the journey that these kids have to go through. I am excited to see what is in stored. I feel like the stories will be more exciting. I can't wait to read Book 4 and the rest of the series. I can't believe I got 37 more books to read in this series. Overall, a great read.
This third outing ups the ante with more intensity and the death of a character introduced in the first book. Though I didn't feel that it "kept me on the edge of my seat until the end," as the back cover said it would, it was still a good addition to the series. I'm curious as to where it will go from here.
This one was quite intense. Only Lionel and Ryan are focused on here really. The other two kids take a backseat for the entire book. This gives the readers a glimpse into the ugly side of people. We get to learn about when police will and will not step in in these end times. At least so far. We get to see when they turn their backs and those that step up. It was an interesting show. Although their methods all around in how they dept with kids was enough to raise my eyebrows. It has also left me extremely disappointed in Lionel's uncle and the choices he makes both before the main event and since.
This one was much slower paced, even though there was what should've been an intense scene in it. Lionel and Ryan are focused on more in this story. It ends abruptly, but I have the next one and will read that one soon.

Left Behind book 3 (through the flames) I would recommend this series for adults as well as young people especailly if you’re looking for answers in the Bible and what the Bible has to say about the end.
This series is not just for kids. These books definitely would have scared me as a kid. I wouldn’t put these books in the “kid” category for content reading. They are more Young Adult reads. The only thing that makes them kid reads is the big print in the books and the shortness of the books. So far these books are a very good! It is great seeing good triumph over evil. This series is ideal reading for teens wanting more knowledge about the rapture Bringing a real reality to reality! There will be a rapture! Though we will never know the exact date and time it will be. We can always be prepared for Jesus!! :) I’m excited to read book 4 to find out what happens next. ♥️Happy Reading♥️ Jesus Loves y’all so much :)
This book followed the incident after they found out that the body they presumed Andre’s wasn’t his. Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan decide to live together in Judd’s mansion. Judd soon takes charge as the eldest in the house/group. He then finds himself setting the same rules his parents did 2 weeks ago. Everyone agreed to curfew, christianity and church service, bible study, and daily private meetings with Bruce Barnes but Ryan. Still skeptical, Judd offers him the ultimatum of falling into the rules or having to find some place else to stay. After long contemplation and being scared to death by a Chicago kingpin affiliated with Andre chases him causing him to hide out in his house and being scared to death looking to Jesus and then gets saved. Then Judd and Lionel go to Lionel’s house to find Andre’s girlfriend Talia wondering and crying for him. They later go to an apartment in which Andre is found dirty, musty, and dusty and when prompted to clean up they leave to check on Vicki and Ryan still in the car and then flames ignite in Andre’s apartment. While Lionel and Judd struggle to get him down a 3 story apartment and soon find out he was shot in his artery he dies and they communicate with an officer (Sergeant Fogarty) they figure a way to attempt to put LeRoy and Talia’s brother Cornelius in jail. They spoon figure out who the Antichrist is and strives to warn people about him, the end times, and the tribulation period.

This book definitely had much more action in it, but still, I found it okay and I just wasn't as into it. I hope the next few books start to share how they are going to spread the word about what's happening. This book was about Judd, Vicki, and Lionel trying to influence Ryan into seeing the right way of things and to not delay in being with God. I feel bad because he is the youngest and has nothing to look forward to after this because he's now an orphan. I feel he will find the right way to go with these 3 older influences among him. Overall it was a good book and I will be finishing the series because I've held off on it for way to long.
I am really enjoying reading these books with my 10 year old. While we rated the first two books with five stars, we took off one star for this 3rd book because it had a lot of pages filled with review of the previous books’ events so very little actually happened in this one. When the narrator wasn’t reviewing, he focused primarily on the situation with Uncle Andre which did not end the way we hoped. We still really enjoyed reading it though and will continue with the series.
An intriguing read about the end times, as these kids continue to face the news that they weren't ready when Jesus came back. Now they've got to stick together and try it make it through the horrible things to come.
There's a couple of cool little plots twists, a terrible fire to get your heart really thumping... and loss.
This one is really good. I like how the religious stuff is kinda in the background and the books aren’t all about that stuff. It is crazy that these kids, who are 16 and younger, are helping get a killer arrested. They have a lot of guts doing that. And running into a burning building. That is crazy!

Narrative wise, this book is better than the last two. We get plenty of exciting moments with the kids as they try and solve the mystery of Lionel's uncle. Plus, the larger plot is starting to take shape in the background. Clunky writing still gets in the way, hence the 3 star rating, but a big step forward for the series.
This book is good too. I have read up to book #31 int his series and than they are GREAT Since there are 40 in the series I can’t remember this one very much. But all I have to say is that this is a great book that you’ll never want to set down.
I'm surprised at how good this is. It has a very gripping scene where two teens run into a burning building to save someone, begging him to put his faith in Christ before he dies of a gunshot wound. Very powerful!
Decent series of books for kids and teenagers/young adults to read about a fictionalized account on what the author interprets will happen at the end of the world when Christians are raptured and what will happen to those left behind who get a second chance to believe in and choose to follow God.
I found the book to be a good red. It keeps the series moving along. Nothing fancy, but it does show how we would adjust to our new lives after the rapture.
These books are very good to read. It is great seeing good triumph over evil and would make ideal reading for teens wanting more knowledge about the rapture
