Spoiled, sassy and enticingly lovely, Heather Blair-Burns rightfully belongs among Boston's high society - certainly not in a Dodge City salon. But had the haughty, high-spirited debutante remained back East, she would have missed a daring train robberty, a reunion with her presumed-dead father...and the handsome, rough and rugged rogue who calls himself Morgan Stone. It's bad enough that evidence has linked Wells Fargo angent Stone to a string of robberies. Now he has to work undercover behind a bar and deal with the saloonkeeper's beautiful brat of a daughter - an exasperating minx who would serve the customer's lemonade and give the local soiled doves lessons in decorum. But love has a way of ambusing even the most mismatched of hearts. All it takes is a hint of passion - and a touch of...Mischief.

Great escape read. I finished reading it in one day. Great fun characters. If you like reading historical romance novels, this one is highly recommended.
synopsis: heather is a high society boston belle who discovers that her father is alive and well and supporting her in the manner to which she is accustomed, rather than the low-down dirty dog who left her mother high and dry and has no money. she heads west to meet her father, and in the process runs into morgan, who is undercover trying to find out about some train robbers. he and heather clash, then morgan heads off to do his job. unfortunately, he is knocked unconscious and people think that he is part of the gang. he is saved from a hanging by the other agent he was with and a telegram from his boss, but he has to go undercover as an ex-con, and he starts working in heather's father's saloon as a bartender.
what i liked: heather and morgan together were amusing, the tug and pull of attraction and the fighting of it. heather was so clueless about everything outside of her society, and her bumbling usually ended up reflecting badly on herself. morgan was determined to do his job and not let a society snob distract him from his goals.
I really enjoyed the lighthearted nature of this novel. There were a few scenes where scenarios were a little cheesy, but it wasn't enough to detract from the story (in my opinion).
