A friendly, highly informative, scientific introduction to the biochemistry underlying nutrition and metabolism. Excellent. I read this book in preparation for a certification in nutrition and after taking a practice exam I know I am well-prepared.

Comprehensive, but a bit overly scientific in some chapters. A very thorough overview of vitamins and minerals, and a good (but brief) chapter explaining the various forms of vegetarianism.
