Gordon Liddy, was a U.S. Army veteran former FBI agent, lawyer, talk show host, actor, and figure in the Watergate scandal as the chief operative in the White House Plumbers unit during the Nixon Administration. Liddy was convicted of conspiracy, burglary, and illegal wiretapping for his role in the scandal.
Working alongside Howard Hunt, Liddy organized and directed the burglary of the Democratic National Committee headquarters in the Watergate building in May and June 1972. After five of Liddy's operatives were arrested inside the DNC offices on June 17, 1972, subsequent investigations of the Watergate scandal led to Nixon's resignation in 1974. Liddy was convicted of burglary, conspiracy and refusing to testify to the Senate committee investigating Watergate. He served nearly fifty-two months in federal prisons.
He later joined with Timothy Leary for a series of popular debates on various college campuses, and similarly worked with Al Franken in the late 1990s. Liddy served as a radio talk show host from 1992 until his retirement on July 27, 2012. He was a guest panelist for Fox News Channel in addition to appearing in a cameo role or as a guest celebrity talent in several television shows. In addition he appeared in movies and television shows.
He also wrote adventure novels and his biography in the years that followed his release from prison.
Liddy died on March 30, 2021. He was ninety years old at the time of his death.

A former SEAL turned lawyer gets a call from his best friend's sister, who is an "activist." There's something going on at the lab.

Fast paced, a former seal has left the Navy and is in a dead end law practice when he gets a call from a former associate's sister who has been arrested for breaking in a pharmaceutical company engaged in the use of animals for testing. She is a protester and although the lawyer does not practice criminal law, he agrees to help. He meets a woman public defender, who gives help and they become involved. The company is actually involved in more nefarious acts, that becomes evident and the former Seal puts together a team to rescue the sister now being held hostage. These ex- Seals do what is necessary and bring the book to a fast paced conclusion.

Great piece of fiction. You could picture this actually happening. Usually hard to find - I got my copies in a old book store. Has SEAL and government involvement in it. The SEAL is the protagonist, he is helping a young college student find the truth about a chemical plant in upstate New York.

This was a very well written book, started out very slow, but about half way thru it it started getting very good and I couldn't put it down.The characters in it really get you involved and in the case of sara....annoyed at her.

Fast-paced plot loaded - sometimes subtly, sometimes not - with the G-man's world views about what the SEALS should still be, the value of animal testing, the dangers of foreign terrorists, and the realities of relationships.

This was a wonderful read. To bad G Gordon hasnt done more fiction.
