Finding Ghosts is a special Kindle only version of two stories previously published as e-books or as part of the anthology 'Pieces of Fate' in both paperback and e-book formats. Story 1 is 'The Cottage', story 2 'Long Alley' as cynical radio presenter Steve Finding investigates alleged incidents of supernatural activity for his radio show 'Finding Ghosts'.
David P Elliot spent 8 years in the Thames Valley Police in the 1970s, much of it as a detective, before leaving to go into the IT Industry where he spent close to the next 30 years.
In 2005, in what Elliot calls his ‘mid-life crisis’, he quit and took a year out to write full-time the result of which was ‘Clan’ his debut novel, which has been variously described as a historical supernatural thriller through to a horror story which has sold in 16 countries so far.
He now writes full time and lives in Faringdon with his partner Monika.
He has 3 grown up children with 3 grandchildren.
His second work, 'Pieces of Fate' was published in 2011,
Having read Clan by this author and enjoyed it immensely, I downloaded this as a special from Kindle and it contains 2 stories previously published in an anthology of his called 'Pieces of Fate'. I read them in one sitting. These two are connected in that they follow on from each other although they are enjoyable in their own right - I would suggest they are more enjoyable however if you read them in order.
The stories feature a radio presenter called Steve Finding who has a programme investigating apparent cases of paranormal activity (Finding Ghosts - is the name of his radio programme).
I found the stories excellent, surprising and entertaining and I hope these are just the first of many 'Finding Ghost' stories as I think there is a lot of mileage in this potential series.
There are other short stories in ebook format and I will certainly be reading those.
