Robert Cwiklik was an editor at the Wall Street Journal for more than sixteen years. He is the author of House Rules, about a year in the life of a freshman congressman, and several books for young adults and children.

A good introduction biography for a 5th or 6th grade reader. They did not go in depth in how difficult this time period was. But it is a nice first book on Blacks and Labor Unions. I wish they had said more about the Pullman Porters.
