A Primer to Postmodernity introduces the general reader to an emerging postmodern world order by giving us just the facts through contemporary cultural lenses. Using TV, radio, film, politics, ethics, and the media as points of reference, the focus is not on postmodernism as a movement in art, architecture and literature, but on postmodernity as a way of life.
This is a rare beast: a genuinely readable and enjoyable introduction to postmodernism. The account of 'postmodernity's war with science' is unexpectedly thought-provoking and encouraged me to be far less dismissive of this approach.
