The Apocalypse. Evil undone, the Earth remade. It happened before when the great deluge of Genesis - the “mabbul” - was unleashed on the world of Adam and Eve. Mabbul is the Hebrew term for the Flood, loosely translated as “cataclysm.” But that event far surpassed any modern catastrophe, and will only be surpassed by the terrible judgment of the Last Day. Mabbul follows the story began in The Coming Wrath, relating the saga of the voyage of the ark and its crew of eight - the only survivors of their world. They became the seed which grew into our world. For the ark was more than survival; it was a crucible that shaped its passengers into new people. The result has continued to shape mankind down to the present day. Some drew near to God; others moved away. Still others were torn, not knowing where to turn. Their choices resonate throughout time.
This is the second book in a trilogy of novels on the flood from the perspective of Shem's wife, "Madrazi". The subject of this book is life on the ark during the great flood. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was just as good as the first - The Coming Wrath - if not better. If you are a believer or a creationist, you'll probably enjoy this series.
