This isn't a book to just read. It's a working text and a damned good one at that. Cobb takes many of the complex ceremonial magic rituals we've all come to know and love and replaced them with slick, workable, solutions for every day use. As great as the material is, I will admit the "case files" seem downright outlandish and/or silly at times but they serve an excellent purpose- they get you mentally where you need to be to make this work successful.

If you can get past the cheese-factor, you have a tidy little modern grimoire that works.

This is a really cool book. I read it for the first time in 2016, practiced some of the rituals, etc. and then re-read it again last night. It caught my eye at first due to a lot of positive testimonials in some online forums. I just recently read Gray-Cobb's followup book "Amazing Secrets of New Avatar Power" which has some tips and help for those who weren't helped enough by this book. Basically, you don't even have to believe in a sort of Hollywoodized version of Magick per se, as the exercises in the book are great for relaxation, improving at meditation, etc, getting a more positive mindset and more. And the chants with entities are not "black Magick" at all but calling on aid from various angels and so on. My life has improved over the last year (even though I can still have some rough patches to work through) as I have added some of the suggestions from this book to some other meditation, prayer, etc. that I do. I like to read a huge variety of books, even some where I don't personally agree with everything, just to see what some other people thought and so on. So always read with your own personal filter, yet consider some parts that may be helpful.

This book is one of the best modern magickal grimoires I have come across.
Do not be fooled by the cheesy 1970s self help, testimonial style. This information is powerful.
It is worded beautifully, explained well, and makes you excited to practice.

The rituals within this book are ancient, but have been modified to fit the modern reader in such a way to avoid all the the fluff and shroud of other mystical grimoires.

Give this book an honest chance and it can change your life.
