This book is about the sport of auto racing and how it impacted my life. I have been a fan of racing in many forms my entire life. The book is written from my perspective. The die hard race fan and how the sport has had its effect on me as a child to the present day. The early chapters cover my introduction to racing by way of television and attending local short track racing on Saturday nights. The context later shifts to big league open wheel racing and the Nascar stock cars.
