It's one of those books that you cannot put down...as a survivor of Sepsis, I had a special connection to the story and the author....however....I knew that going in....I was pleasantly surprised that I learned so much more about it (and I thought I knew everything there was to know!). I highly recommend this book not only to people who have experienced this evil illness in their lifetime, but for all healthcare employees as well. The more we know about Sepsis makes it no Sepsis!

Not very well written, but the premise of recalling his experiences while delirious and its aftermath appeal to me since I work with people who are currently delirious or who have recently been delirious.

Definitely worth the read for all my nursing/medical friends as well as anyone who finds themselves with a family member in the ICU. The illustrations themselves are a reason to pick this one up.
