This book was uncanny valley levels of creepy. I honestly couldn’t tell if the illustrations were drawings or photos and it was distractingly awful. I spent the whole book looking forward to the end. Plus it was weirdly Canadian? There were multiple references to Canada, which is fine, it’s not that I have anything against Canada but it felt unnecessary at points.
