Tyne Sweeten found herself on the wrong side of the boss's desk being fired just before Christmas. With no other choice, she went home with her meager desk possessions and no clue of what to do next. Ronan Tate was known for being a shark of a businessman and a rogue with the cream of New York socialites. Now he was at her apartment apologizing for firing her and making an offer she would be crazy to refuse. Spend Christmas with him in his mansion, a new job, and it seemed, a new life. Tyne jumped at the chance, and now instead of the man who was known for being a heart breaker, she found she was with a father who put his son first and lived with rumors swirling around him. Christmas turned out to be more than she expected, especially when they couldn't deny the attraction between them. Ronan was not the scoundrel with a trail of hearts in his wake, but that didn't mean hers wouldn't be broken even though she tried not to fall in love.
Loved this novella. For me I had as much info as needed to find out who Tyne and Ronan are. Two lonely souls who had terrible childhoods and wanted the best for there family. There attraction was real and the sexy bits were awesome. Great Christmas read!
Short holiday story with a happy ever after ending. Because the story basically takes place in forty eight hours not a lot of time to a build up before they declare their love for each other but other than that it is cute story.
Not bad. I'm not a huge fan of extremely short reads but I found this in my library, forgot I had it, I guess. Kinda fast, but that's to be expected with books of this length. Also feel the chemistry between the two leads could have been stronger. I feel like they went from 0 to 60, from nothing, to in love in a couple of paragraphs.
Tyne is a young woman struggling to provide a better life for herself, who suddenly finds herself in a bad predicament fighting off unwanted advances. Ronan is single father trying to give his son best Christmas holiday that he can. When suddenly their world's collide.
This was a short, sweet very romantic read by one of my favorite short story authors Dahlia Rose. I really enjoyed reading Tyne and Ronan's story. Tyne has attitude and what she says to one of Ronan's exes when she tries to intimate his son had me saying "go girl"! Loved it!
