'Ive been shopping' is a great repetitive poem for children aged around 10/11. It is a very true poem with the quote at the end 'to my own house broke again', as when people go shopping they spend money therefore this is a true fact.

The kids take it in turns to pick a page for me to read, we often get through 10+ poems a night this way - the illustrations have led to some interesting rabbit trails, such as researching castanets and flamenco.
