Every geeky girl deserves to find her perfect match.
Falling in love in high school isn’t logical to me. So when all of my friends are paired up, I tell myself I’m okay and don’t feel left out. Until Colton Andersen drops into my life. He’s the king of school and everyone bows down to him. Except for me. Popular guys like him don’t matter to me at all.
Everything changes when Colton and I decide to fake date to save my failing app. Suddenly, I start seeing him as more than just a popular guy. He’s deep, smart, and hides a big secret. A secret he only feels comfortable sharing with me. He opens his heart and well…maybe falling in love in high school isn’t as illogical as I thought.
Popular Boys Don’t Fall For Geeky Girls is the ninth book in the Invisible Girls Club, a sweet YA contemporary romance series. If you like invisible girls who snag the boys of their dreams, this book is for you!
Hi! I'm Emma and I write sweet YA romance novels that will make you swoon. When I'm not writing, I love to read, play video games, get lost in a good movie, and I eat way too much junk food. My sweet YA books include The Invisible Girls Club series, The Hotties Next Door series, and Crushing On The New Guy. I also write sweet adult romance books under Emma Lynne, including the Single Girls Club series. I love hearing from my readers, so please don’t hesitate to email me or follow me on Facebook.
Willow is the spitting image of her mother, romane and IQ wise anyway.
I loved this book but wise does every MMC in this series so far (except Liam) have trama and a tragic past? I’m all for a MMC with trama but I don’t know.
Colton was a really good kid but I think his parents didn’t pay enough attention to him or Bri because they didn’t know either of their kids were being bullied so much that they didn’t to wake up the next day.
Sorry for being kind of dark but it’s the truth.

That was really cute :D In this book we will follow the final junior muskateer Willow, she is a coding and tech geek and don't have any intentions of having a boyfriend in high school, so she enrolls in the school competition for tech apps, so she makes an app that can match you with your potential date and the algorithm is flawless .. the only problem is no body is downloading it because she is a nobody in school, then Colton enters the picture, he is the most popular guy in school and he is willing to help Willow if she pretends to date him, she will have popularity and he will make his ex jealous so they might be back together .. fake dating, common interests and hidden truths .. what can go wrong ? I can proudly say that I am up to date with this series, and I can't wait for Noah and Evie's story, though we didn't meet them properly before but I have faith it will be cute .. and it has the "enemies in between friends" trope let's see
LOVED THIS BOOK 😍 Another great fake dating romance novel. I absolutely loved Colt and Willow and how they brought out the best in each other. Their arrangement reminded me a little of To all The Boys I Loved Before in the sense that Colt was in on it to make his ex jealous and want him back, but soon he had eyes only for Willow. Willow thought he was still into his ex and so didn't want to admit she liked him too but I loved thay there wasn't too much drama around them figuring it out. Colt's friends didn't completely abandon him, Willow NEVER doubted herself, there were no huge misunderstandings/miscommunication, their app competition didn't get between them, and lying about their relationship never came back to bite them. Dalton did such a good job bringing in drama outside their relationship like Willow's app, Colt's family, etc that she didn't mess with the couple's growth and I'm 100% for that 🤩 5 stars from 🙌 Lily was a bit annoying but....not a big deal and I couldn't get enough of everything else haha
I think seeing that this is a fake dating story made me finish this in less than three hours because I gobble this up like crazy. And not just because I need it for inspiration. Because Willow happens to be my new favorite Geeky Girl and nobody can tell me otherwise. I loved her relationship with Colton and how she practically destroyed his walls.
Honestly? My favorite part about this story wasn’t even the romance. It was Colton’s development in the story. Sure, it was nothing like Zane’s but as someone who was also in a similar boat, I felt that development in my soul as well as the hit to the head with the baseball bat (iykyk).
I think there’s only one more book to the series after this one. Correct me if I’m wrong, Emma! But regardless, this is definitely a must read if AND when you decide to read the series so go pick it up while u can!
A little bit Hallmark and a little bit redundant where the kids are exactly like the parents just different skin tone and hair color. Still sweet and very clean. I did love how Colt appeared and saved the day at the end. Actually, he saved the day a couple times. I like this one a lot compared to the other 14 books.
Content: There is a bit more trauma in this one with bullying neglectful parents. Far too many mentions of making out . These books have a lot of kissing and raging teenage hormones, but nothing goes farther than that just kissing. I’m not a fan of parents making out in front of your children.
A bit cringe “my amazing bf “ etc . I’m not a fan of kissing in front of staff and what not but I guess if they’re kissing in front of their friends, then it doesn’t go too far.
Some slightly cringe quotes “With groans, Colt and I pull our lips off each other and offer our jackets and an apologetic smile to the staff member waiting there. Then I face my friends, who are standing in the Knight living room trying to hide giggles. “I can’t help it if all I want to do is kiss my boyfriend every thirty seconds.”
I absolutely love this series and was waiting for this book to come out. My only complaint was that it took forever! I read pretty fast, and so after reading the book before this, I had to wait months! It was pretty hard finding books to fill the gap. This author is so good at what she does, and this series is just so amazing. If you like invisible girls who get the guy - especially the popular guy - you’ll love this book!
I definitely enjoyed this book it’s not much I would like to say but Willow is her mother’s daughter lol. She’s just like her mom when it came to relationship and dealing with people from high school.
I liked the fact that she ignored the haters especially when her app broken up couples. Which I don’t blame for that because those people choose to dump their boyfriends or girlfriends…
Without her talking and getting close to Colton I don’t think she would’ve had any fun like she was having. I was glad of that.
It’s not much I want to say to be honest just that I can’t wait for Noah and Evie’s book because I knew they was going to end up together and liking each other.
Not only that I can’t wait for Mia to become a teenager. I hope she ends up with a book as well!!!!
Honestly, this is my favorite book in the Invisible Girls series. I LOVE how open and honest the two MCs are with each other, and how Willow helps Colton become okay with who he really is again. Really cute moments between the two, and some swoony ones where Colt swoops in to help Willow when she needs it.
Emma Dalton has created a great story about finding your true self. In this book one of the characters learns how to be his true self. This book tells how loving your true self is the most important thing. The book is so well written. It is so hard to put down.
Cute read, and plot was great. Writing felt a bit young. Also, why are these girls so obsessed with their boyfriends? Like they’re kissing on every single page and constantly using nicknames. There’s such a thing as TOO MUCH.
I love this story. It was so cute and sweet. It also had deep real-world stuff going on that the characters needed to work through. I just really enjoyed this feel-good love story. Plus, it was a repeat of the original group's love story. So good!
I love this story. It was very clean and had charming characters.i love that these stories intertwine, you get to see characters before you get their whole story.
