Some spreads involve spotting differences; others ask viewers to find identical matches. The most captivating pages ask readers to find feline shapes amid landscapes or hidden among the branches of a bare tree. While the longer rhymes occasionally seem forced, some of the individual lines are quite lyrical and enhance the enigmatic, jewel-toned illustrations. This is a fun book of optical illusions, puzzles and odd and interesting pictures of cats. Our girls really had fun figuring out the puzzles and looking at all of the illustrations.
