Sadey Quinn put more than a little kink into her short story collection Spanktastic. The twenty-two short stories/vignettes are set in bdsm community of Rock Creek. I especially liked the setting concept where everyone in the community is a practitioner of BDSM. Realistic? No. Fun? Yes.
Just about anything goes in Rock Creek, but the focus of the stories is on M/F & F/F spanking, primarily punishment spankings for various misdeeds committed by hapless subs/slaves. Maids are spanked for leaving a speck of dust (“Cleaning for Master Holden”), recalcitrant subs are disciplined by a pro (“Daniel Hobbs: Professional Disciplinarian”), women trying to lose weight are given extra motivation (“Weigh-Ins”), two subs wrestle and spank each other for community amusement (“Contact Sports”), a Domme takes a turn at being spanked (“Switching”), and losing a table tennis match has repercussions (“Ping Pong”).
Readers of BDSM and hardcore spanking stories will revel in this collection, but readers of softer erotic romances may find the public humiliation aspects too extreme. However, the spanking scenarios are inventive and creative. It was interesting to see what the author came up with.

Excellent anthology or book of short stories with a spanking theme. Some are longer than others - not designed to fully immerse you in the character or plot but designed to arouse and satisfy your need for spanking. I quite enjoyed it and I am critical of spanking anthologies or books of short stories as many, flatly, suck.
Above average - but again know what you are buying. This is a nice length with a real variety of stories - recommended!

You know how you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover? Well, I took one look at Spanktastic and totally (totally) did.
Oh, my, is it hot.
But do you know what’s even better? The inside. Because does Spanktastic ever live up to its super-seductive exterior. In fact, I’d go so far as to say it surpasses it – and a barebottomed red-head draped over a velvet chair is pretty hard to top, in my opinion!
This book is an absolute feast for spanking gluttons. Twenty-two luscious stories, in which different women have their bottoms turned a delightful shade of pink by the various inhabitants of fictional town, Rock Creek – a BDSM-friendly community whose residents are free to indulge their fetishes behind closed doors or in front of them. (I should point out here that whilst Spanktastic is a collection of shorts, they’re all linked together by this common setting and, thus, intertwine to create an anthology with a ‘novelesque’ feel. So even if you’re not generally keen on short-form erotica, Spanktastic may just appeal to you.)
The stories are all delightfully different – with twenty-two in total, I was a bit worried that they might be a bit ‘samey’ – but, no. Author Sadey Quinn does a brilliant job of keeping the scenarios varied, interesting and – most importantly! – hot.
F/f, M/ff, FM/f, F/ff, M/f … Voyeurism, exhibitionism, medical, humiliation … And that’s just for starters. I’m struggling to think of types of play that aren’t included in Spanktastic. Yet all are handled with finesse, and even the scenarios that wouldn’t normally push my buttons, well, did.
My personal favourites?
The Sadists, in which a sub by the name of Fern has the misfortune – or should that be pleasure? – of being sent by her Master to serve two sadistic Tops …
‘When they paused once more, Mistress Natasha walked around Fern and stood right in front of her. Their eyes were only inches apart, and Fern shuddered when she saw the expression on the Mistress’ face.
“Don’t you know, Fern,” she said icily, “that I haven’t got an ounce of pity in my body?”’
… and Cleaning for Master Holden. Woe betide any girl who leaves dust bunnies beneath the bed at number Forty-five, Harper Hills:
‘“Come here,” he says.
Joanne walks to him and stands in front of his desk. He holds out his white gloved hand for her to see. To her horror, it is nearly covered in a very thin, yet obvious, layer of dust.
“What is this?” he asks. The edges of his lips are curled in a very small and evil smile.
“It’s … dust, sir,” she says.’
Spanktastic it really is. If you’re a fan of The English Vice, you won’t want to miss this one.

Ever want to live in a community where BDSM is the normal? Where slave boys and girls walk the walk of shame from the disciplinarian's house? Or perhaps you could be one of the resident disciplinarians in the community. It's your job to punish wayward slaves or submissives. Where is this Rock Creek? I want to live there!
This collection contained many stories which loosely tied together. I found those to be quite enjoyable. Some of the short story were okay - not exactly my cup of tea. The spankings were for the most part enjoyable to read. Perhaps not so enjoyable for the one receiving the spanking.
The reason why I didn't rate this higher was because I couldn't quite connect to any character. The stories were too short for me to become vested in any specific character. In addition, they weren't exactly sexually arousing either. Some were very hawt. Others were a trial to get through. I can't quite put my finger on why some of them didn't trip my trigger. There are many different variations in here. I happen to enjoy all sexual orientation combos so those worked well for me.
This collection is recommended to kinky readers who enjoy spankings.

Spanktastic is an anthology of twenty-two short stories all about spanking. The setting is a BDSM community called Rock Creek. This is the point where the similarity between the stories end, because each one is unique and a surprise from the previous one, which made reading them so enjoyable. The range of spankings goes from light fun to full punishment spankings and lots of unique situations in between the extremes. The other emotions of humor, laughter and lust add to each story as well as some offers a touch of ridiculousness in the situations. The writing style is excellent, the author understand the dynamics of a BDSM relationship is not just spanking but much deeper. In each story the tops express concern for the safety of the spanked person and it is always between consensual adults. If you are looking for a group of sexy hot (yes the bottoms get hot in this one) stories, this is an excellent choice in this anthology by Sadey Quinn.

I think my poor rating is mostly due to the short story format. I couldn't develop a connection with the characters, so it really just wasn't interesting to me. But if you are someone who likes the short story format, and of course likes erotic romance novels, then I don't see a reason why you shouldn't give this a read.
