He’s aware being near her might put her in harm’s way, but his wolf refuses to acknowledge it. She’s returned to town, and he’s determined to make her his while promising to keep her safe.
Louis Perez is the last of his pack to find a mate, but he’s okay with that; there’s too much looming danger to focus on finding love right now. However, fate seems to have other plans in mind when the only woman he’s ever felt an undeniable connection with returns to town.
Addie Douglas is only in town while her mother heals from hip surgery. She’s not here to become sentimental about being back in town or to pine after the guy she was too scared to confess her feelings for before leaving. Once her mother is healed, she’s heading back to the city. That’s the plan—until she sees him, and her plan goes out the window.
When Louis and Addie find themselves in a dangerous situation, Louis is left with a difficult choice: unleash his wolf to keep her safe and risk scaring her away forever, or stay as he is and be unable to protect her from harm. Both come with their own sacrifices, but he knows which is greater.
Affection Of A Wolf is book four in the Dark Moon Pack series, which is part of the larger Paranormals of Crescent Creek World. If you enjoy reading about small towns with quirky characters and shifter romance stories with Fated Mates, you’ll love these books!
Jennifer Snyder lives in North Carolina where she spends most of her time writing New Adult and Young Adult Fiction, reading, and struggling to stay on top of housework. She is a tea lover with an obsession for Post-it notes and smooth writing pens. Jennifer lives with her husband and two children, who endure listening to songs that spur inspiration on repeat and tolerate her love for all paranormal, teenage-targeted TV shows.
Part of the Dark Moon Pack each book can be read as a standalone within an hour or so finally we get Louis story and the mate who captures his full attention. Addie left home some time ago but returning to help her mother after hip surgery she never expected this one trip to change her path because she lands in the middle of what could be described as a scene from a book and catching up with her old friend was all fine and dandy but would she be happy knowing who he really was or should we say what he was. Louis sexy as all get part of the Dark Moon pack, we met him in the first book but when his friend comes to town he knows she is his mate but worries about what she would or how she would feel if she found out the truth. But fate won’t let you go at your own pace you will go at her pace and thus enters their enemy from book one Shade who decided to force Louise hand in showing and telling Addie who and what he was but will she go running or will she accept all of him, will they take care of the problem that keeps popping up in the name of Shade, will we ever find out what made Shade such an angry man/wolf, will Addie stay or head back home, and will they get their own HEA?.

Book 4 and finally Louis gets to discover his mate and the pack becomes whole, but not so easily or without a bit of drama, intrique and upset from the rogue wolf shifter that started the division and upset for all concerned. I really enjoyed the first three books and not disappointed by book 4 as they are all lovely supernatural, finding mated love, romantic and sexy story. A feel good HEA book and although nice to read as a stand alone supernatural adventure it adds to journey by having background of other three books. If this is your first book of the series and you like this then recommend the other three books as bring the Dark Moon pack together as a group and lovely bunch of characters get a lovely HEA.

Addie Douglas is back in town to take care of her mom as she recovers from hip surgery. Louis and Addie had been attracted to each other before she left, but she was hesitant to express her feelings and accepted a job in the city. She intended to head back there as soon as she could. But when she sees Louis Perez again, she may have second thoughts about leaving. Louis, however, is concerned about having Addie back home with the dangerous Shade still on the prowl and mercilessly killing people.
When Addie sees a man become a wolf, she realizes she is in danger. Can Louis protect her? Even though he didn’t want her to learn his secret this way, he must shift to fight Shade. Will she be frightened of him and run away? He has no other choice but to risk it if he wants to keep her alive.
All of the author’s books are great, but I liked this one a little more than the others. Although I can’t tell you exactly why. What I can tell you is that I was hooked from the very beginning, unable to put it down until I had devoured it. Fortunately it is a rather quick read, so the laundry still got done. This series is best read in order, and the Crescent Pack books first, then the Dark Moon Pack books. While each book is a stand alone in that the book doesn’t end in a cliffhanger, the characters and story build on each other from book to book and you will understand more if you’ve read the earlier books first. A suspenseful and entertaining read.

When Addie comes back into town to help her mother after a hip operation, she never expected to end up in the middle of a problem that could be in the pages of the book she wants to write. Louis was happy to catch up with Addie again but he is worried that she would be frightened if she ever discovered what he is. When Shade forces the issue, the Dark Moon Pack know that they have to deal with him once and for all in order for them all to live the lives that they want. Well written and continues the Dark Moon Pack series in style. It was great to see the whole pack be involved and come together to help each other.

I loved Affection Of A Wolf Book 4 of Dark Moon Pack. Addie and Louis had become friends before she moved away a year ago but she’s back now to help her mom and she has reconnected with Louis. However Slade is causing problems again and Addie finds out the secret Louis has been keeping before he can tell her. Once again the Dark Moon Pack has to deal with the problems Slade is causing. This is a great conclusion to the battle with Slade. I love these characters and it has been a great story to read. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

I don't know what it is about these books, they're just so touching and sweet. I enjoyed the Dark Moon pack. Unlike the Crescent pack, they are reeling from the loss of their Alpha and half of their pack who went feral. They are rough around the edges, and it was sweet watching them all heal and find their mates.
Anyways, I am so fricken excited to read about the Shaw brothers next... Jennifer can keep writing Crescent Creek stories about every single townsperson for all I care. Especially Cassie the fox shifter barista... would like to know more about her as well.
Addie & Louis These two best friends come together and proclaim their love... This is seriously a sweet and trying story. Finally, the group manages to capture a baddie wolf & lay him to rest. This makes the group finally feel a lot better & have less stress on them. I'm looking forward to the next great series!!
I wish to thank Jennifer for another great reason to read the ending of this series!! ❤️🙏

Addie has to return to her home town tohelp her Mum. She runs into the man that she was getting close to before she left. Louis is finally happy in his pack. The are only two things darkening the horizon. One is Shade and the other is not being with Addie. Soon both worlds collide and Louis and Addie have to face their feeling and battle for their lives. This rounds off the series nicely and also gives a big hint about what series Jennifer will be starting next.
I’m sad to see this series coming to an end but I can’t wait for the next book from this author. Addie finally came back to town after a year in the city working for as an editor. Her mother calls her home because she has a surgery. Louis has been kicking himself because he let Addie get away. Now that she is back he is going to try his best to not let her get away the only problem him and his pack are facing their greatest enemy. Shade has messed with all of the mates and Louis doesn’t want to subject Addie to that. Will he have a choice?
Charming, romantic and sweet. Loved the coming together of Louis and Addie from friends to more. Building on to the continuing story with Dark Moon Pack series, this had danger, romance and action. Enjoyable read and loved the ending.

This story was so good and I hate for it to end. I will be reading more from this author. I loved Addie and Louis. I loved the ending of Shade….thank god….I am intrigued by the Shaw brothers, and the bar owners. I will definitely be checking out everything.
Loved this story so much. Loved how they worked together to deal with Shade. And to sneak in the new bear clan was awesome and can't wait to read those.
While Affection of a Wolf brings the Dark Moon Pack series to its conclusion, I’m definitely waiting on what world the author brings to us next because I certainly loved this one.
Louis was the last wolf standing until his mate, Addie, returned to town to look after her mother who has recently had surgery on her hip. They had been friendly before she had left for the job in the city, but he hadn’t acted on that attraction even when his wolf was annoyed at his lack of action. Now all bets are off as Louis and Addie face down his pack’s greatest enemy, and two mates are united for a lifetime. I loved seeing that circle of life, a tale as old as time kind of love come into being again with this couple. Fated, yes. Forever kind of love, yes. Excellent addition to the series and to wrap it all up… oh, yes, definitely!
I absolutely loved that Addie is an author of paranormal books. That gave me such a smile.
The action is swift, the passion obvious, and the circle is closed on Slade’s actions. I’ve had such a good time with these characters and with this series. Now to wait for what comes next.
If you love a sizzling paranormal romance with just the right touches of laughter and danger, plus a couple that belongs together, then you’ll love this series.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the author or author’s team via Booksprout, and I sincerely thank them for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Louis couldn’t believe she was back in town, did he make a move this time or was it too dangerous to get involved with Addie.
Addie couldn’t believe she’d bumped into Louis, she was only back for a little while but had always regretted not letting him know how she felt about him. Now back in town, should she reveal her feeling to him?
When things started to happen and Addie was thrown into the middle, would she accept him for who he was or would she run away?
A fun, steamy read with all the characters from the pack getting together to give you a great read full of action, passion and a HEA.

Louis is a wolf shifter that's in love with a human woman, Addie. He protects her from a former pack mate that's went feral and tried to attack her. Addie is in love with Louis, when she founds out he's a wolf shifter she shocked but helps him in his fight with the craziest wolf. Now that the wolf is out of the bag, their relationship grows and their true feeling come out. Louis is a protective male that will do anything to protect the woman he loves. Addie is a strong brave woman that stands by the man she loves. There's drama and danger with some steam. I like fated mated stories and this short story is packed full of everything for a good book. I enjoyed this book.

Affection of a Wolf is the fourth book of the Dark Moon Park series and is a wonderful second chance story with danger that pulls you in.
It has been a while since Addie has returned to town, and if it was not for her mother, she might not have. Louis has always missed the one woman he had a connection with, not seeing Addie again, he is torn between letting her go to protect her and making her his.
This forth book has the pack dealing with the previous pack and the danger that is thrust on them, but if they don't end it soon, it will be the end of them.
Great read from start to finish. The danger is intense and the connection is electric.

I love these Crescent Creek books. This is the 4th book in the second series, I believe, that takes place in Crescent Creek. They're all standalones, but the stories build on each other, so I highly recommend reading the 4 Crescent Pack and other 3 Dark Moon Pack books first, if you haven't already.
These books are light reading, quick, fun, and lovely. I adore each and every one of them! I love the setting and all the little side characters (especially the little old lady with the magic purse). This one specifically I loved because it finalized a story arc that has been building in the background for 8 books... I was totally ready to see how it all ended up! Now I'm looking forward to moving on o the next group of shifters in Crescent Creek. I can't wait to see who's next!
Addie had left home for an editor job at a newspaper in the city but came back home to help take care of her mom after hip replacement. Before she left she had a thing for Louis but didn’t say anything thought Louis didn’t want anything to do with her. Shade went after after becoming his wolf so Louis turned also, first she ran but then she pepper sprayed Shade’s wolf so Louis got it too. The pack was told where Shade was and to take care of him which they finally did. Addie moved back home to be with Louis. Good book!.

Addie has returned to Crescent Creek to look after her mother after surgery. Then she runs into gorgeous Louis, the man she has not forgotten since she left for her new job. Louis definitely feels something for Addie even after she leaves. But he keeps telling himself he's no good for this beautiful woman. There is too much danger surrounding Louis to follow up with his feelings. Shade hasn't made another appearance yet, but many of his pack are dead, most probably killed by Shade. A man changes into a wolf. Addie cannot believe her eyes. Now Louis has to do the same thing to try and protect Addie. What will she do? Run away? A death. Peace. And love.
Louis is the only unmated shifter in the pack but with the danger that surrounds them, he has no time for love that is until Addie returns to town. Addie is only back to help out her mum she doesnt plan to stay long, when she runs into Louis, they had met before she left town for the city but neither had spoken of their true feelings but when trouble comes for them will Louis lose Addie a second time when she learns his truth? Well written steamy second chance shifter romance, a great addition to the series
Simply the best end to the series, this brought the story to a great conclusion as it allowed us to have some room for catching up again, Louis was always the quiet one, he knew what he wanted to say, but didn’t say it without it needing to be said and now we know why, he was pining for Addie. This is a great small town story and makes me with even more that I could visit Crescent Creek, all of the characters there just make me smile and this pair just make me want to go and have lunch with them, just watch them interact without it being weird.
An awesome finish to this series. Louis and Addie were attracted to each other but she was just leaving town for an exciting job in the city. Now she was back together mother who was recovering from hip surgery. A quick read with plenty of action and sizzle. Louis and Addie are so sweet together. The pack finally put Shade down after all he has done to them. Loved it.

Louis & Addie are cute together. The sweet way they reconnect & how Louis defends her is sweet. Finally a closure & HEA for a pack that has been through so much.

A fantastic story with great characters. We get a glimpse into Addie and Louis's story and you're glued to the pages from start to finish. Can't wait for the next part.

This is my favourite of the series up to now. I adored the rapport between Addie and Louis, and even the overbearing mother. Good character work, a little suspense and some trying to resist instalove. Tons if fun to read.
This fourth installment of Dark Moon Pack was well written and kept my attention thanks to the entertaining characters along with the engaging story line.
