I have to start by saying that as soon as I started reading the preface of Everlife I was intrigued!! I loved the sound of it!! It packed a punch, and I was excited to see where the author would go from there.
Everlife is the story of 18 year old Rose, who after suffering a terrible tragedy in her life goes off the rails for a few months with her partying and as such distances herself from her father..... She begins having incredibly vivid dreams and not long after there is an attack on her life.... Then the mysterious but gorgeous Birch Balman enters her life and puts all the pieces together for her.
Kyani Swanigan's writing was incredibly easy to read. Everything flowed fairly smoothly and there wasn't ever a time that I had to question what was happening in the story. As far as the characters go I found that I liked Rose more as the story went on and we get to see her love for her dad. Whilst she was always concerned with how her actions would impact on her dad, and she didn't always make the best decisions, the thought and concern is there!!
So all in all Everlife is an enjoyable read and even though in my opinion the rest of the story didn't pack the same punch as what the preface did, I would still recommend it for lovers of YA paranormal!!
Do you believe in reincarnation? What if it did happen and your soul was really older than you thought? Everlife was an intriguing story, following Rosalva (Rose), who in her senior year of high school has faced a tragedy that no one should go through. Not coping well with it has gotten her in trouble in the past but as she tries to steady herself in life, she discovers that the new boy class (Birch) knows a lot more about her than she does. Along with that, an ancient enemy of hers has come to finish the job she tried to do long time ago.
I was sucked into Rose’s story through the entire book. Boy did she go through a lot. I admired her strength to stay grounded and get through the turmoil of everyday life and the new things that were now tearing her world apart. What a storyline! Very original and full of action. I loved the high school feel of the story and the complete different world that Birch and his friends lived in. It was so contrasting in so many ways that it was awesome. I loved Kyani’s rich imagination. I definitely want to read the next book in the series and I can’t wait! Pick this up–it’s an enticing breath of fresh air for paranormal lovers.
This was an Awesome Book,I usually don't read books like this but this was really good, I didn't wont to put it down, that's how good it was. Loved the details in the book and the Characters.
