This is a very short book, one that contains information most savvy shoppers already know.I think we already know to check the generic brands. I think most of us know that if you buy split chicken breasts instead of boneless skinless you will save money. While thankfully very short so you don't waste too much time, I have to chime in with the other reviewers, the writing is almost grade school level, along with some typos that any basic editor should have been able to pencil out. Manufactures instead of manufacturers?
Nothing new to be seen here, so best save your time and move along. Not even worth today's freebie price.
This wasn't what I expected. I was hoping for more detail. A lot of what was in this book was obvious like how you can grow your own food in a garden to save money and cook your own meals rather than buying prepared foods. The information that actually pertained to couponing was vague. I'm going to delete this one from my kindle library.
A *very* basic look at saving money on groceries. If you have done any research or read anything prior to this about how to save money on groceries, this book is not worth your time. If you have never looked into saving on groceries before this book *might* help. Very basic advice including: buy store brands, look on the upper and lower shelves for different prices, etc. It was free on Amazon one day, so I read it, but it is not highly valuable.
I can't believe in today's economic climate the author actually suggested applying for a credit card to pay for your groceries. He even goes as far as to list certain ones he thinks are worth applying for! Also, taking a vacation day to check local prices. Yup - how much am I going to have to save on my milk and bread before it pays for the day off!? Waste of time!
I pretty much knew everything in here. Maybe good for someone young. It did encourage me to buy generic brand soda for my husband. He doesn't notice the difference and it is a LOT cheaper. Quick read and I got it free.
Not worth the time it took to read. This book has information that is so basic, even my kids know it. Plus it comes across as if one of my kids wrote it.
