Struggling with the climactic aftermath of his battle with Mob Rule last issue, The Flash must solve a murder mystery that dates back 150 years! Is this case too cold even for Barry Allen? Learn the origins of Central and Keystone City!
Captain Cold makes his explosive New 52 debut, and it’s glorious. His new powers aren’t tech-based anymore—they’re biological, making him even deadlier. The fight between him and Flash is beautifully choreographed, but what really stands out is the emotional tension. Cold isn’t just evil—he’s a man pushed too far by circumstance. This issue is personal, fast-paced, and beautifully illustrated.
3.0 - Another stupefyingly beautiful issue. But, here's the thing with Manapul's take on the Flash so far - it's either world-ending stakes that he doesn't have the gravitas or maturity with which to contend, or he's fighting garden-variety sub-Batman villains with restrictions on his many massive feats and it seems incredibly pointless.
