I absolutely LOVE the cover of A Family Scandal, it is stunning and I liked the singular question on the front as it had me intrigued instantly. This was my first Zoe Miller book so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but let me say, I was not disappointed!

Zach Anderson was a rock musician, who tragically plunged to his death. Twenty years on The Morgan sisters find themselves in the spotlight as the anniversary of Zach’s death comes around. Ellie, Miranda and half-sister Lucy, Zach’s love child, have to stick together if they want to come through all of this. But are they hiding or running away from anything? Can the sisters support each other though this? And will events bring them together or tear them apart?

I really enjoyed A Family Scandal, I sat down and ended up finishing the book in only a few sittings. The writing flowed beautifully and before I knew it I was absorbed with the tales of the sisters.

I loved the settings that were in the novel! We visit London, Hong Kong and New York, making the book more exciting as it felt as though I had travelled there and was standing in Hong Kong or New York watching everything unfold in front of me. The settings were very well-described and so it is easy to picture every scene clearly, which made the book feel more glamorous and glitzy for me as it felt I had gone on a trip around the world!

It’s not all about exciting countries though, there are serious issues explored in the book, along with the importance of sisters, their struggle to make sense of the world and their situation, as well as the strength of their bond. I enjoyed reading about the Morgan sisters, learning about their individual stories and following their progression as they try to cope with everything that emerges.

A Family Scandal is a very-well written book filled with vibrant places, secrets, scandals, and the importance of being a family. I’m looking forward to reading more of Zoe Miller’s novels.

This book started off with a prologue, and it was a bit of a slow burner. It follows the lives of the Morgan sisters, fashion designer Ellie, reliable middle sister Miranda and fashion model Lucy. Lucy's father was well known rock musician Zach Anderson, who died in mysterious circumstances when she was a baby. Now on his twenty year anniversary, a series of events relating to his death raise questions for Lucy, who returns home for answers, resulting in disastrous consequences that tear the family apart. When they are later pushed together again due to their mother falling ill, can the sisters resolve their differences, and can Lucy find out the truth about her father's death? I found it odd that Ian and his attempts to get close to Lucy for some reason are not mentioned at all in the blurb, as I found this aspect of the novel the most intriguing. I was waiting for him to appear in each chapter so I could piece together the mystery of his motives for being in Lucy's life. I liked Miranda but felt she wasn't in it enough to really get a feel for her. I quite enjoyed this book overall once I got into it, but it took awhile to really grip me.

This is the 3rd book by this Author, and like her last 2 books I really enjoyed this book, and purchased it from Amazon. The book starts with a prologue and it's a slow start but when the story did take off I couldn't put this book down and couldn't wait to see what would happen. I wont say too much about the plot I don't want to spoil it but I would definetely recommend and will look forward to the Authors next book.
