Just when I thought things were at the peak of craziness in book 1 I starting reading book 2 and am proved wrong. I really enjoyed this book. Going to be starting book 3 immediately to find out what happens next.

Nothing Stays Dead in the South: Part 2 by Taye Steele, holy freaking crap!!!! Did I love this one more than the first book? YES!!! I absolutely did!
I was so excited when I sat down to read this novel because I knew in my bones if it was anything like the first one, I was in for one hell of a ride! Gosh darn it (I really want to curse but want people to be able to read this review so I’ll be good. 😏😈) did Taye deliver yet again!!!!

This book picks up right after book 1 (so you do need to read the first one first 📖) with Jo learning about her supernatural powers and their strength. Learning she has pretty much every enemy she could possibly have in the South after her and trying to deal with her love for Azriel (still love this blood sucking vampire more than anything!!! ❤️❤️❤️). Jo is just feeling so lost and confused… she’s worried she doesn’t know how to save her loved one and her friends. Dealing with an impossible situation with no idea what to do!

I again, CANNOT mention enough how much I enjoyed this book. The writing in this book goes above and beyond! The world is still interesting as ever, with more secrets and drama being added in piece by piece. The characters have you so invested that (at least in my case 🌺) you have physical reactions. A laugh when a funny line is uttered, a gasp when something unexpected happens, an “oh no you have to be f-in kidding me?!? when everything hits the fan. This book is just so freaking good! (You need to load up your computer browser and purchase these books! 💻⌨️🤣🧐) I don’t know how I’m going to wait for the next book! I will be “stalking” (in a non-creepy way) for any tidbit of information on the next. Cause I need more!!!!!

This series has absolutely captivated me! I finished book one yesterday and flew through book two in less than 24 hours!!
I enjoyed getting so many different points of view in this book because it helped the plot develop. Jolene comes into herself even more after certain events and watching how she handled the struggle between what she knew and what she felt was so well written.
I enjoyed seeing more into Azreal and Vehric's minds and what Jolene means to them. Claudine is still a badass and I have loved her interactions with them all.
There are a few people I'm still not sure how I feel about but I am hoping to get even more for Lucien's POV in book 3. One that note, book 3 cannot get here fast enough because holy cheeseballs that ending was a total cliffhanger that I was not expecting!!!

I can’t, I just can’t! So, book one left us on the edge of our seats…..this one is not any different. But what do we add in? Another demi God! UGH! Which, as soon as he walked on the scene, I knew, I just knew what he was.

Okay, the anger and frustration over that part, let’s get to the other. Again, I’m battling with my love here because I still want my vampire to win…but I really, really, and I mean REALLY, love Ric. And I totally like the whole three way….but I can’t help but wonder…could we make it a four way? I shall let you ponder that! That all being said….this is beyond hot. But I do want to see more play between Ric and Jo…they’re just so dang cute!

Be warned, she is talking about this being a four part series. So, I’m to book number three, and if you can’t tell, I’m loving all of these!

I took forever to read this solely for the fact that I was waiting for book 3 but I finished it too fast because I couldn't stay away and now I'm screaming because I.NEED.BOOK.3 I'm so obsessed with this world here. Book 2 was even better than the first one. The love and heart break in the one was so much more intense. My heart hurt for Jo so much in this one and GODAH the villain of this story is literally SO F*CKING EEEEVVVVILLLLLLL, like makes your skin crawl evil. I can't wait to see what happens after that cliffhanger. And Taye, I'll be messaging you because what the hell 🤣🤣

This is the second book in the series. We continue where we left off on book one. Now there is Lucien and I don’t know how to take him yet. There is definitely more spice that I love. With all the suspense and twists has me going crazy! I’m so here for it and am loving it so much. I think this Author is definitely becoming the Queen of cliffhangers seriously! What, what, what, what? Did what I think just really happen at the end? Never and I mean NEVER saw it coming! Can’t wait for the next book now. Also if this series never ends, I’ll be fine with that. That’s how much I love everything about this series so far!

Jo has come to learn she has supernatural powers and that Azrael is a vampire and there are witches and shapeshifter wolves. There are many enemies and they are all after Jo. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book. This book has non stop action and intrigue. I couldn’t put it down. I love Jo she is smart, strong and sarcastic. The supporting characters are excellent. This book also ends on a cliffhanger. The spice is hot

It. Made. Me. Itchy.

Okay itchy might be a bit of an exaggeration- but I don’t know if there is a better way to describe how antsy, anxiety riddled, or well, ITCHY I am waiting for the third book. This series is hands down my favorite right now- and I’ve read like 40 books in 4 months lol. Read the first one, read this one, and then join me in the world of “WHYYYYY” while we wait for the next one because I’m counting the days..

After the cliffhanger in volume 1 I was expecting so much action in volume 2. There is some but a lot of the book feels like build up to volume 3 which I am anxiously awaiting!

A new player enters the scene and it’s pretty obvious from the get go what he is but what he wants is another question. The why choose in this book made my heart happy though!
