Rosalie knew her father was part of an MC club, a vile disgusting group of men. To protect her mother, she has no choice but to marry a man her father has chosen.
Colt doesn’t want to create peace. Satan’s Death Riders MC doesn't settle, they do not bow down, but for now, his father has told him to marry the daughter of his enemy. He personally vows to make her life miserable. This will be a great way for him to pass the time before he gets the chance to kill her father. They claim she's a virgin, but they're liars. No slut of the Evil Fuckers MC is pure.
But Rosalie is nothing like her father. She's just a pawn. Someone he can use. What will happen when she becomes more than just a pawn, more than someone he can use?
She wants her father dead as much as Colt does. Maybe they can work together. All she wants is for her mother to be free, for them to no longer live in fear. It's an easy deal to make, but even Colt didn’t see what was coming.
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
Rosalie has never been part of her father's MC world that is filled with violent and horrible men. But she finds herself thrown into the world and into a marriage she wants no part of. However, doing her father's bidding is the only way to keep her mother safe.
Colt is part of the Satan's Death Riders MC and hates Rosalie's father. He is even more disgusted that he has to marry his daughter in order to keep peace. He has every intent to make her life miserable and get revenge for the wrongs of the past.
When Rosalie and Colt come together, nothing is what they thought but can they build something beautiful from the ruins of their initial connection?
I struggled with the first 25% of this story. Colt was a real dick even when Rosalie was completely transparent with him about who she was and what she thought about her father and their arrangement. But I appreciated that Rosalie was not a doormat and didn't bend to the whims of Colt or anyone else. She was angry and bitter but she was also fierce and kind to the people that deserved her care and affection. Colt may have been a dick through a significant chunk of the story but it wasn't off putting and the way he tries to make amends and change the trajectory of their marriage was admirable. He was an alpha male to his core and I loved when he finally turned that possessive and loving alpha vibe on Rosalie.
Toxic was definitely toxic but in an engaging and entertaining way...I couldn't put the story down. It was action packed, violent, sad, uplifting, and steamy. Colt and Rosalie had great chemistry when they learned to trust each other and I loved the bumpy path they took to get to their HEA. If you're a fan of steamy MC romances with a gritty story line and a cute HEA give this a try!

This one has long been on my TBR list and I wanted some high drama read. It was less than perfect (far from it) but I fell for the storyline (H hates and mistrusts the h, but she is really innocent and he soon realises how badly he has treated her). It was really cheap thrills but this kind of basic storyline always gets me when it is done with at least some in-world logic. It was thankfully not a typical MC book (those with CW drama, too much crass/moronic behaviour etc). It really focused more on the difficult romance between Rosalie (I liked her a lot) and Colt (we never learned whether it was his real name or his road name).
The big downside of the book was that the writing was choppy and the editing plain bad (as if it was all written in one go and no re-read for cohesion was done). Despite that, I still binged the storyline and how SC carried forward the whole plot - exactly how I like it. Seriously, with a good editor to add cohesion and some psychological explaining, this could easily have been a great angst read. While reading, I was most tempted to sit down and try to do the editing. I still might as a fun project lol.

I am giving this 4 stars because like I give one star if the MFL was weak and a plant, I need to give high rating if she was strong and brave. Because I hated every Male character in this book except for the females
Men always brag that they are the ones who fight the war, but they forget that it's the women (and kids) who suffer the consequences
And boy oh boy did the female in this book suffer
I loved Rosie Loved her kindness Her dedication Her strength Loved how she did not give in until she got what she deserved to get
I felt sad for how much life has dealt her but it's the hardship that shape us
I loved Gabby Life did not just give her lemon, it squeezed them in her eyes, but she still managed to make lemonade
And Patel! Don't be fooled by her name, she may look like the delicate flower, but she is anything but
I am so happy Sam did not name this book after Cole, like MC authors name their books usually because because he is a dumbass
The men (all of them) in this book were pieces of shit The title of the book suits them I won't say anything more
I found the writing at the beginning of the book awkward, and then I got used to it. The book could have used a better editor.
Rosalie, the daughter of an MC president, is forced to marry the son of the rival MC to make peace. The son, Colt, is determined to hate Rosalie because she's the daughter of the hated Daemon. What he doesn't know is that Rosalie also hates her father and has no connection to the MC club.
I thought it'd be interesting how these two would fall in love, but I'm not sure why they fell in love besides sex. I couldn't see them talking for hours or anything.
I received this book as an ARC from Booksirens, but that hasn't affected my review.
Another fantastic read from Sam Crescent, I literally swoon with the MMC in her books, the chemistry is off the charts and the steam , so good. I really love the way that I escape reality and join a happy place when I read , full of great romance, drama and tension, you won’t regret picking this up

With Colt and Rosalie being forced into marriage to keep peace between two MC’s makes for a gritty romance that kept me turning pages. Rosalie is definitely not doing this for her father but to keep her mother safe from him. It was quite a ride to see if these two would ever come together to get their HEA.
This one had so much angst that I couldn't stop reading it. I even took the long way home to have more time on the bus to peacefully read. The main reason I liked this one was because the heroine had a strong and steady backbone. She goes in knowing what is expected of her, even under duress, and she makes it happen. If she had been a weak heroine I don't think this story would have gone that smoothly. The hero is more complex… of course, he thinks she is constantly lying to him about everything, so he doesn't trust her at all. The realization is good, the moment he starts to trust her, he starts to fall.
The side characters were really good. Gabby was a strong and amazing mom to Rosalie and of course, Petal is everything a person needs from their best friend (I need to know what happens with her. Will we get a story about her? I am hopeful) and Kim is also a great female character. The guys are basic MC characters… I would of like a little more grovel from Colt… but at least he got his head out of his butt.
4.25 ⭐️’s for Toxic by Sam Crescent. This book was released April 25th and is the 1st book in a series called Satan’s Death Riders MC. When I say I am pleasantly surprised by how good this book is, I mean I’m pleasantly surprised. It is one of the best MC books I’ve ever read. It’s a true enemies to lovers arranged marriage MC book.
📕 📕 📕 📕 📕 for character development. If the pain and despair of the main characters makes me cry, there is great character development in the book. The book made this reader cry hard during some scenes in the book.
📖 📖 📖 📖 📖 for plot/storyline. This storyline is good and not the same old instalove-got her pregnant MC book. I have no questions at the end of the book. Even though it’s a series, this book can be read as a standalone. What I loved most about this book is the author doesn’t waste time writing about minute details. It’s nothing for this book to skip days, weeks or months to get to the real event or issue.
✏️ ✏️ ✏️ ✏️ for editing. There were very few mistakes in this book.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ for spice. I think the sexual tension is good. This is a SLOW burn. Then when the spicy scenes do come up, it almost seems as if they are cut short or not spicy enough. This is my biggest complaint as this is a dark romance and should have hot spice.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. It is well written and doesn’t insult my intelligence like many MC books have in the past.

This was my first book by Sam and I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed. Arranged marriage, MC club business, ride or die bestie, enemies to lovers, it had it all. Rosalie or Colt wanted this marriage, but to join clubs, they did it for their fathers. Rosalie would do anything to protect her mother. They include marrying the enemy’s son. Colt, not wanting to get married, didn’t realize what he was getting himself into with his new wife. This had a lot of events and turns that will definitely keep you on your toes. It’s crazy how someone can come into your life and change it, for the better. HEA guaranteed I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is one of those books that just pulls you in and makes it impossible to put down. It’s an enemies to lovers, forced proximity story that just has all the feels. I enjoyed the characters, and I loved watching their attitudes change towards each other. The author kept the intensity high with the emotions and violence running wild, and the ending is not exactly what you expected. My only regret is that I wished at least one member of the rival MC was redeemable, but alas, it was not meant to be. That being said, this book is sure to be your next favorite read.
Wow. This book was incredible. The story grabbed me by the throat and didn’t let go until the end. I laughed. I cried..a lot. There was so much anger and sadness. Fear and grief. But through it all was hope. I loved it. I received a copy to review.
Colt and Rosalie start out despising each other and we're forced to marry against their wills, by their fathers who ran competing MCs. Good characters, good paced storyline, with a satisfying HEA.
What happens when your estranged father is the president of one motorcycle club who seems to want to make peace with another? Why, he arranges your marriage of course.
Rosalie, or Rose, has always looked after her mother and knew that when her father came around it was never a good thing. Especially this time when he’s forcing her to marry a rival club’s son for peace between them. If she doesn’t, he’ll take it out on her mom.
Turns out the son, Colt, doesn’t want this either and doesn’t believe he’s actually marrying a virgin either. Which doesn’t go so well that first night, or really the first three months together. So when Rose’s father comes back around, she trusts Colt enough to try to help her. Only to lose the one thumb that mattered most to her.
Colt and Rose get their happy ending in this stand-alone book in a series.
This book has a whole bunch of TW that go with it, so please check those out before reading.
This was definitely what some would call a 1% club as they had no problems with unaliving people. Nor did the other club. And after seeing what the main plan was from Rose’s father, I really have to wonder how sane he was, to begin with.
That being said, I do wonder how Rose acclimated to Club life and if Petal followed her into that life, or after her experience, she avoided it as much as possible.

Another amazing start to what I'm hoping will be a good, kinda dark, and nitty MC series by Sam Crescent.
Rosalie and Colt are both forced into a situation neither wants to be in. But they both have their reasons for agreeing even though they hate each other. For Rosalie, everything she does is to protect her mother. The woman who literally gave up EVERYTHING for her. She knows her father is not a good man and since she's been able to she always tries to lessen the attention her father may show her mother any time he is around. So to ultimately and once again protect her mother she agrees to marry a man she's never met, but knows is or at least once was a rival MC member of her father's. Colt has never seen the appeal of marriage. Being tied down to one woman isn't his style. But to bring an end to bloodshed (on least what everyone is agreeing to) he agrees to marry his enemies daughter. He may have agreed but it doesn't mean he'll make life easy for her. After all she's the daughter to the Evil F***ers MC Prez, she can't be as innocent as she and others claim she is.
Things may start out rough for these two. After all neither one trusts the other and they are willing to change their lives for the other. However, things happen quickly and Colt realizes that he and his family played right into their enemies hands with how they all treated Rosalie. Plans have to now changes... But there's one plan Colt never thought he'd hear himself making. Making his wife fall in love with him and ensuring she stays by his side because he's fallen in love with the woman he once thought of as his enemy and he won't let her slip through his fingers. No matter what her father tries to pull.
I received a free copy of this book via Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rosalie knows whenever her father deems them worthy of a visit, that he has an ulterior motive, usually an effort to control her mother, Gabrielle. There had been a few times in the beginning when she’d been curious about him but she quickly overcame her curiosity when she realised he used her to force her mother’s acquiescence.
Rosalie agrees to the forced marriage arrangement to unite their two clubs because Daemon threatens her mother with harm.
To her it’s a business deal to appease her father’s wrath. “What you saw today, that’s the most time I’ve spent with Daemon throughout my life. It’s taken twenty years for me to be useful enough for him to want anything to do with me.” “I’m so sorry.” “Don’t be. I’d have rather spent the rest of my life being useless to him. I’m not marrying your son because I want to, nor do I want to impress him. I’m marrying him so Daemon will leave me and my family alone.”
Colt despises Daemon for his sister Nancy’s murder. He may not have discharged the weapon, but Colt knew as he held his dying sister that he’d given the kill order, which he’d denied.
Her mother is incapable of protecting her. She’d hoped Daemon would grow bored and have other children, but he didn’t. “You’re his only daughter. He does have a son, and you haven’t met him yet, but I have a feeling you will”.
After a hostile encounter with Cole and the members of his club, he maintains his distance. Instead the members continue to openly demonstrate their disdain for her, being the daughter of a man they loathed. They were rude at every opportunity. From the moment he met Rosalie, he’d vowed to make her life miserable.
Disgusted with his tirade: “He’s my mom’s rapist.” Colt felt like he’d been hit in the gut. “Yeah, Daemon, the leader of the Evil F*ckers MC, is a rapist. He saw my mom, twenty-one or so years ago, and he wanted her. My mom refused him. She didn’t want anything to do with him, so because she didn’t give in to him, he raped her, and I’m the product of that … moment. She went to the cops, but seeing as he paid them, they looked the other way”. Her mother was rejected by her family, therefore she was forced to ask him for help.
Daemon is pure evil, verbally and physically abusive. “You want to tell me why it’s so important for Colt and Rosalie to, like, be together?” He pressed his fingers together and glanced over the desk at his only son. Bug had been born before he met Gabby. Years ago, Gabby had a friend, a wild friend, who liked to dabble in the MC. Daemon had watched her a few times, and he’d knocked her up, wanting to keep her for himself. Only, after he’d knocked her up, she’d brought Gabby around. From the moment he saw Gabby, he’d developed an infatuation with her. He loved her smile, curves and the light shining in her eyes. He’d wanted a son by Gabby, and had tried, time and time again. She had several miscarriages, and the last one, when Rosalie was about five years old, had nearly killed her. He didn’t want to kill Gabby. He loved her obsessively but she feared him. He convinced himself that one day she’d see the error of her ways and give them both a chance. It would happen someday. “Because, once Colt starts to fall for Rosalie, he will take her into the club and accept her with open arms. Rosalie loves her mother and will do whatever it takes to protect her, even to find out every single weakness the club has. Once I know everything, I’m going to make sure Rosalie suffers an accident. Something bad, which means Gabby will have to go to the only person she knows who can fix it. Once I do, I’m going to war with the Satan’s Death Riders MC.
Colt hated their arrangement of meeting up impersonally on a Friday night to have sex, he feels like he’s defiling her. Rosalie doesn’t speak to him and even though he’d gone to the diner and spent time watching her, the tension was unbearable. He didn’t want to live through that experience again.
Rosalie wasn’t susceptible to his advances, carefully guarding her emotions from his contrived charm, despite her best friend Petal’s encouragement to give him the opportunity to prove himself.
Halfway through the book and Colt still sees Rosalie as merely a job. An attractive, woman but a job. We’re taught that parents are the ones we’re supposed to trust to protect us, but this was more of a role reversal for Rosalie. She despises her father and wants him gone from this world. She does everything within her power, to protect her mother. That was all she has ever done in her life—protect her mother—and it should‘ve been the other way around.
Daemon is now convinced he can no longer control and use her, so she’s now expendable to him. After a brutal beating, Colt begins to see the error of his ways.
Daemon recognising the closeness between mother and daughter, he believed if he threatened Rosalie’s life, Gabrielle would be forced to seek his help. Tragedy strikes and Gabrielle is murdered in the crossfire, leaving a broken and devastated Rosalie.
She offers him a divorce, which he refuses. “Your mother—” “Is his fault. Daemon killed her. That had nothing to do with you and I’m so sorry for blaming you. So sorry for not being there for you. I’m so sorry about what my father took from you.”
Rosalie was devoted to and loved her mother. Blissfully unaware that in the beginning, Gabrielle wanted an abortion, or to give her up. That truth died with Gabrielle.
Along the way Colt and Rosalie had fallen in love, but what hurt was the fact that Daemon forced them to be together. The first months of their marriage had been a nightmare. It had started out as a business deal, a toxic arrangement. Even though she hated Daemon with a passion, she couldn’t deny this was the one and only good thing he ever did.
This was my first MC romance and I have to say, it was really good!
This enemies-to-lovers story is about Rose and Colt being forced to marry as a peace treaty between their fathers warring MC's, The Evil Fu*kers and Satan's Death Riders. Not only do they have to get married, Daemon ( Rose's father and president of The Evil Fu*kers MC) has added the stipulation that this union MUST produce a child. Why? We don't know…. This guy Daemon, is the epitome of his club's name… He is EVIL in every way. He treats Rose like a commodity and uses thinly veiled threats against Rose's mother, Gabrielle, to get her to comply with his demands.
Rose has two people in the world she loves…. Her mother and her best friend, Petal, and she will protect them at all costs.
Colt, member of Satan's Death Riders and son of the club's pres, Warden, is your typical ladies man. He hates commitment, is a love 'em and leave 'em type of guy and absolutely HATES Daemon, therefore, hating Rose by extension. He sees her as Daemon's daughter, not knowing she hates him and has had little to do with him or his lifestyle. Colt's mother, Kim tries to reassure him that the two are nothing alike and that she has never been a part of "the club life" but, you know guys like Colt, he doesn't believe it for one second. He very slowly starts to believe his mom, starting on their wedding night.
This book had a little of everything. Action, touch-her-and-die vibes, hate-to-love, an unhinged villain, even some mystery but my favorite part of the book was the friendship between Rose and Petal. Their friendship is one that we should all aspire to have. They were VERY WELL written as well. Neither of them were weak or pushovers and Petal, that chick is a bad ass and has wormed her way into my heart. She is now one of my favorite female characters of all times! I also liked Kim and Warden's dynamic. Kim kind of reminds me of Gemma from Sons of Anarchy, without the serving fork (IYKYK). Warden seems rather level headed for someone in his position and there is genuine love and respect between them. From the little bits of backstory we got in this book, there seems to be a very interesting story there. I hope we get a chance to read about it.
If I'm honest, I'd also like to read about Gabrielle and Daemon's story simply because THAT would probably be absolutely unhinged! I'd also like to see more from Petal and Dirty, I want her to get her happily ever after and I'm not ready to say goodbye to her just yet.
The reason I gave this the rating I did was because I felt like the ending was really rushed. We had so much build up of certain events and plot points that were explained away with just a couple of sentences. I also felt like Rose and Colt's story was tied up in a pretty little bow too quickly. It was too neat, it needed to be messier, if you get what I mean. They HATED each other for months. They hated each other so much that they didn't even live in the same house and saw each other only once a week for a majority of the book, so when they really got together, it felt like an insta-love story. I felt like there could've been at least another few chapters for proper grovelling and a more organic and realistic way to show them growing to love one another.
Other than that, This is a good start to what I hope will be a series (I NEED more!!!) and will look forward to reading more in the future.

Toxic - Satan's Death Riders MC - Book 1 - By - Sam Crescent
This is the first in an exciting new series by Sam Crescent and I absolutely loved every moment and word of it! The passionate characters, plot twists and the intricacies of an MC series really seems to be where this talented author really excels. Rosalie Barlowe or Rose to her friends is going about her life taking one day at a time. At the age of twenty one she feels more responsibility than she should for a girl of her age. She works all the days and hours she can at the local diner with her best friend since kindergarten Petal and the rest of the time she spends with her mother Gabrielle. Gabrielle is a shadow of the young woman she was in her youth because Rosalie's father Daemon who is also the president of The Evil Fuckers MC. Daemon terrorises Gabrielle constantly but bearly bothers with Rosalie and doesn't involve her with the club until he needs her to help bridge a truce with a rival MC. Rosalie has to marry a member of the other club or she fears what her father will do to her mother, she knows it is not a love match but she is determined to protect her mother at all costs. Colt has been a member of the Satan's Death Riders MC from the moment he was old enough. He loves his club and puts it first always. Even after suffering a tragic loss he strives to make his father Warden and also the Satan's Death Riders MC president and his mom Kim proud. When he is asked to marry the rival clubs daughter he knows she will be as untrustworthy as the other mbers of that club and he will treat his new wife with the disdain age deserves. At nearly thirty he never planned to marry but he would bare his role for the hood of the club. What he didn't expect was Rosalie and how she would turn his whole world upside down. Both Colt and Rosalie do not want to be with the other but over time things change, feelings develop and they both are helpless to stop falling for the other. It just takes them a while to figure it out. This story was written with strong characters, filled with emotion, packed with drama and action and some moments that will make you smile and of course lots of heat. All the factors that make a compelling read where you just can't put the book down, every ingredient that this author always delivers. I am also excited for more books in the series, not just because it was longer and a read that you can really sink your teeth into but because a world has been created that I want to know more about, characters hace been created that I want to learn more about a see find their own happily ever after. I also enjoyed that we had moments from characters who were not the leading male and female characters it all added to the magic and storytelling. I can't wait to see Ox, Horror, Myth, Dirty, to name a few fall and hopefully more of Dirty and Petal there is definitely secrets to discover there. I also love the club brothers reactions towards Kim. She is definitely one helluva woman. I highly recommend this book and will re read numerous times, I have already and hope that you will too. Happy Reading. Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given. 5 out of 5 stars.
TOXIC is the first instalment in Sam Crescent’s contemporary, adult SATAN’S DEATH RIDERS MC dark, erotic, MC romance series. This is twenty-one year old, diner waitress Rosalie Barlowe, and Satan’s Death Riders MC member Colt.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from several omniscient third person perspectives including Rosalie and Colt, TOXIC follows the arranged marriage between our story line couple. In a desperate effort to end the war between two rival MCs, Warden, the president of the Satan’s Death Riders was arranging a marriage between his son Colt, and the daughter of Daemon, the president of the Evil F&*ckers MC. Rosalie barely knows her father, a man she despises but to protect her mother, Rosalie agrees to marry a man she doesn’t not know, a man she believes is just as evil the father she has only met a couple of times. Struggling to accept one another, Rosalie makes a deal with Colt, a deal that does not go well with our heroine’s father. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between our story line couple, and the potential fall-out as betrayal, murder and bloodshed greet our heroine at every turn.
The world building focuses on the potential was between two rival MCs. Daemon is a monster, not well like amongst his own, but a man who rules with threats of murder and death. Battling between head and heart, Colt finds himself falling for a woman he knew nothing about, a woman who is innocent and unaware of life in the MC.
The relationship between Colt and Rosalie begins as a forced marriage, a marriage meant to unite two MC but a marriage that is meant to protect Rosalie’s mother. With a myriad of threats hanging over her head, Rosalie relents only to discover that her life and the lives of the people she loves, hangs in the balance, dependant upon the outcome of her future with the Satan’s Death Riders MC. From the outset, Colt takes a cruel dislike of his innocent bride but their first night together reveals an innocence he knew nothing about. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including several members for both MCs. We are introduced to Colt’s parents Warden and Kim: Rosalie’s mother Gabrielle, her father Daemon, and her best friend Petal.
TOXIC is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, murder and madness, obsession, acceptance, relationships, family and love. The premise is dark, dramatic and intense; the romance struggles in the face of hatred, misunderstandings, issues of trust and the forced aspect of the entire relationship; the characters are desperate, broken and dynamic. The epilogue fast forwards the story line approximately ten years.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Rosalie has spent her life away from the violent world her father has emersed himself in but she is forced to confront everything he stands for when he arranges a marriage for her with the son of his rival MC club. Her dreams of escaping to a better life with her best friend Petal were gone forever in the blink of an eye but if she wants to protect her mother then she must do what her father says. Rosalie is honest with Colt from the start but he has a vision of who and where she is from and seems to take pleasure in humiliating her. Rosalie knew that if she tried to leave, they would be found, but for how long will Cole make her suffer for who her father is and can she really keep living the way she is being forced too?
Colt is the son of the President of Satan’s Death Riders, he was a part of the biker world and hated Daemon a rival MC club and a man that was truly evil in every sense of the word and he cannot believe that his father is forcing him to marry his daughter Rosalie, not only that but that they need to produce a child from their union. Colt is used to having his pick of women and being married will not change his way of life and makes that very clear from the start and that there is no way that Rosalie is not part if the MC life. It soon becomes apparent that she is nothing like he thought and his feelings for her are changing but has his treatment of her destroyed any chance of a future?
This book was awesome although I do have a few issues with the story, Colt made me feel violent and there were moments that I truly hated him, Rosalie made me want to wrap her in a hug and tell her that it would all be ok. Now although I loved the book it seemed that the time scale was way too long for me and I think that some readers may feel the same. This was a book with a heroine that was so strong that there was no wat that I was going to give up on her. Here is hoping that Petal and Dirty get a book of their own ASAP. 4.3* read, only because of the time scale.
What a great start to a new series by Sam Crescent.
They stood at the alter, neither wanted to be there, the hatred between them was palpable. Rosealie hated the biker gangs, she hated her father even more but she would do this to protect her mother. Cole was beyond furious, he was in an arranged marriage with the daughter of the man that he hated most in the world, the man who had taken something precious from him, he would marry his daughter but he would make her suffer and then he would kill him.
Rosealie was the daughter of Daemon, president of the Evil F-----s biker club, she hated the biking world, she and her BFF Petal worked at Al's Diner, a sleazy cafe with an equally sleazy owner, they dreamed of escaping to a better life but Rose knew that she could never leave her mother to the mercy of her father and if they all left she knew that he would find them.
Cole was the son of Warden, president of the Saten's Death Riders biker group, he couldn't believe that his father wanted an alliance with their sworn enemy and he was to be the sacrificial lamb.
This story follows the tempestuous marriage between innocent but feisty Rose and ruggedly handsome but brutal Cole, it give a peep into the mafia like biking community, the rules that they lived by, the loyalty that they demanded, the complete disregard for human life. Rose knows that Cole hates her but she still had to go through the harrowing, degrading Friday ritual, Cole was attracted to Rose but he could never get past who's daughter she was.
A powerful, well written story, action packed and suspense filled.
I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.
The start to the Satan’s Death Riders series if the rest of the series follow suite, I plan to be on the look out for book two but usually I like this author’s story telling abilities 😊 the suck you in making you a part of the book. Rosie hasn’t had an easy life in fact it has been downright difficult, yet with everything thrown at her she still does her best to find a way to see the good, she is still kind to others, loves her mother enough to allow herself to be a pawn her father uses to get what /who he wants she is a strong character only because of what she has been through yet still comes out believing in something better but now she has been forced to marry her father’s enemy expecting to go from one form of abuse to another. Colt while sexy as all get out is an absolute a** throughout the book he doesn’t want to give her a chance because of who her father is, willing believes the lies he has built up in his own head, and happy to harp more abuse on top of all that she has been through so when he finds out all she wants is freedom for herself and her mom and willing to help rid the world of her father he is hesitant to believe. Keeping her at arm’s length believing every word our her mouth is lies never trusting her yet she shows him everyday little by little that she is nothing like her father but will he get it in time or will he push her to a point of no return just like her father, will she ever have the freedom, will her mother finally get away from the monster, will she get away from her monster, and is there a common ground where they find something more than hate?.

I've been reading this authors books for over a decade now and even though I really liked her books in the beginning I found that the more I matured the less I liked her books. I grew tired of the no-good so called heroes and how they treated the heroine who just accepted it like a doormat. I need a dominant alpha hero in order to like the book, but you can be alpha without being an asshole. I even accept assholes who changes and becomes real men who apologieses for their asshole ways. But not abusers or users who convinces the doormat that it is love and she agrees and accepts that kind of life. Not ok.
I've even growed tired of books with more sex than story. It just lacks substanance and even makes the sex mediocre and not even worth reading.
But once in a while Sam Crescent writes a really cute or good book and that is why I keep coming back to her.
And it has been a happy suprise for me that that these last few years she has evolved even more and has started publishing some really good books and now even great books.
This was a great book. The H is an asshole. But the persons in the book is just that, persons, with layers and they develop during the story. It is a more plausible and believable story and I didn't want to stop reading. And even the asshole develops and makes amends, but not through groveling or trying to get the h to accept his asshole ways. But through evolving and building something together.
This I really, really liked and I'm hoping for more great books by S C in the future.

I absolutely loved this book! What started as an absolute nightmare for Rosalie Barlowe ended up as a beautiful love story. I know that 'beautiful' and 'love' are not the words normally used to describe an MC club story but the fact that it ended so well certainly made up for a lot of the cruelty and violence meted out by Rosalie's father, Daemon the president of the Evil F*****S MC.
Rosalie hated her father because he was so cruel to her mother and to Rosalie. Rosalie was told by her father that she would be marrying the son of her father's club's enemies, the Satan's Death Riders MC. Warden, the president of the death riders told his son Colt that he was to marry Daemon's daughter. As you can imagine, Colt was not happy but the reason given for the marriage was to bring the two clubs together, to end bloodshed. Daemon also insisted that Rosalie had to have a child.
Colt and Rosalie had to meet once a week to try for a baby, unfortunately Rosalie had been a virgin and she hated being with Colt. The more Colt and Rosalie spent together there seemed to be feelings growing between them even though they insisted there were none. I liked the other members of Colt's MC club, they were so loyal. Rosalie had a very close friend called Petal and she definitely had Rosalie's back. There is a lot of violence including murder and also rape was mentioned. However, it was an amazing MC club book and I hope there are more to come. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I love Sam Crescent’s books!!! I can never get enough of her stories she creates. Both characters were beautifully written. The world she has created is dark, vibrant and original. I don’t think I’ve read a MC book like this at all. It was captivating, heartbreaking, action packed and heartwarming throughout this book. This book does touch on dark themes and might be considered triggering. Please read with caution. I love a good MC book and this one was everything I check off on my likes in MC books. It was dark, action packed, has a little mystery, angst and of course the characters are enemies at first. The spice wasn’t lacking either. I love how this author brings a couple backstories in her books. We get the main couple but then get glimpses into other characters. This story also looked into the main characters parents.
Rose was just a normal girl trying to live g her life. So it seemed. I loved how strong, devoted and loving she was. I felt horrible for her predicament but loved how she took the bills by the horn approach in life. Colt was dark, broody, loyal and angry. He was thrown into something he didn’t want to do but loyalty called. I loved his commitment in this book. I loved how their story progressed and they grew together. This was such a beautifully tragic love story from all sides.

"I’m going to love you without hating myself for it."
This incredible dark MC romance with enemies-to-lovers age gap pairing will break a reader’s heart and then put it back together with a happily-ever-after. Rosalie is willing to sacrifice everything to protect her mother from her abusive father. He is forcing her to marry a member of a rival club and produce an heir. Colt hates Rosalie’s father, as he is responsible for the death of his sister, but he reluctantly agrees to wed Rose for a truce. They both hate each other and Colt certainly lets it be known he will not be soft or kind, but cold and cruel.
My heart truly broke for Rosalie and her mother, Gabrielle. They were both nothing more than pawns in a brewing war between two rival clubs. Rose had to numb herself and completely shut down in order to survive being married to Colt. She had to survive. He was awful and I definitely hated him. It took months for him to redeem himself and start taking care of Rose’s every need. I still don’t think he groveled enough and I would have loved to get a few more chapters of the couple happy together, but overall this was an enjoyable book. This author is one of my faves!
Tropes: Contemporary romance, dark romance, MC romance, curvy heroine, enemies-to-lovers, age gap, arranged marriage, forced proximity, virgin heroine, breeding, pregnancy, happily-ever-after Heat: 4/5.

Rosalie only wanted to protect her mother, Gabby and have nothing to do with her father, Daemon. She didn’t associate with the Evil $%ckers MC. Her father bring the president meant nothing to her. But Daemon was going to force her into a marriage with a Satan’s Death Riders MC. Colt couldn’t believe his father, his president, Warden was asking him to marry the daughter of a rival MC. There was no way he was going to do that. But when you prez tells you to do it, you do. He wasn’t going to care about her or even like her.
I do love that Rose is a tough cookie. She may not be strong enough to deal with her father but she sure stood up to him to protect her mother. Colt is the complete opposite. He seems as cold as her father and I didn’t care for that. I honestly thing he was the mirror image of her father and that worried me. I love Kim, Colt’s mother. That woman needs to give Gabby lessons on standing up for herself. And OMG, just reading about Rose’s life and her always taking on the responsibility to taking care of her mother had me in tears. Her friend Petal is the best. I love that girl. She made me cry during the wedding. There are lots of parts that will make you cry in this book. I hope we get a story for Petal.
