Rate this book
I became Bex

After being abandoned in my darkest hour by the boy I thought I loved, I tried to rebuild my life. When that didn’t work, I did what any other sane girl would do—moved to the other side of the world.

I’ll always be his Becca

When Court Woods shows up in Paris, all bets are off. The danger I tried to shake by leaving is burning brighter than ever, and he might be the only person who can keep me safe. He says he’s changed, but people can’t change who they are like a name. But maybe that’s the problem. Bex. Becca. The name doesn’t matter because...

I’ve always been his.

Amazing.

Bex and Court’s story was just as good as I’d hoped it be and I REALLY hope all the other guys get a book too . One of the best series I’ve ever read.

2.75⭐
This book was a HUGE let down. I don't know what I was expecting but it definitely wasn't this.

I loved Bex's character. Even though she and Court fought constantly, I understand where she's coming from. Court constantly lied to her, broke her trust in the name of 'protecting' her which was total crap. I only wish she was a little less fragile. I wish she was NOT a virgin too. I particularly don't mind the virgin x manwhore trope but this book irritated me to the point where I had to go touch some grass to remind myself that it was just a book.

Court is my least fav mmc ever. His reasonings for his actions were just outright stupid and he has that 'alpha hole' attitude in a bad way. I liked him best as a side character. Him f*cking all available women in the country while being in 'love' with Becca and demanding that she belongs to him and can't sleep around was annoying. What kind of a double standard is that? He was infuriating for the most part of the book and the fact that he even tried to justify his sleeping around while demanding Becca stays 'untouched' because she 'belongs to him' got on my nerves more than once.

“There was some deep, primal part of me that was fucking thrilled I was her first. That I’d claimed what no one else could. No one else ever would. Becca was finally mine. It was the way it was always supposed to be.”
What a load of crap.

“I trusted him to take care of me.”
This was Becca AFTER doing the deed for the first time. Mind you, she had trust issues up until the moment they had sex and after getting his magic D, she suddenly trusted him with everything.🙏🙂 Not to mention, the next morning Court said 'I love you' which is RIDICULOUS because he has been pushing her away and lying to her his entire life.

“We’d gone from zero to a million in the blink of an eye. Sometimes it was still hard to believe.”
Great, so at least she still has some sense left after all.

The first sex scene between them was ridiculous. When he realises she lied and she is in fact a virgin, they both have a conversation that is a few pages long, whilst his thing is inside her. IS THAT EVEN REMOTELY REALISTIC? And I got second hand embarrassment everytime he'd coddle her.🙄 The conversations between them also felt weird most of the time. Like not how a real person would talk. And also, I felt like this had way too much smut for my liking.

I would have preferred Linc, Ash or Charles's story over this but oh well, it is what it is. Even though, I didn't LOVE this book, I enjoyed Ryan and Maddie's story so I'll be continuing this series. Next up is probably Linc's book since he is in the bad guys' circle now and I have a feeling his story will break me.

I really enjoyed this read. I think I may like this book more than the trilogy because it wrapped up in one book. I’d definitely recommend but you have to read the trilogy first.

The last book in the Mad World series left us with Ryan and Maddie's epic story! I accidentally came across this series and became hooked. Now we finally get Court and Bex’s story, Into the Woods, which is one hell of a ride.

Bex has been through so much in her life. Her character is one that you just become consumed with. She is resilient, and I love how she speaks her mind. She is on her way to Paris because Court Woods has broken her once again. Bex knows she needs to move on without Court, but can she?

Court finds himself wallowing in his pride and has come to terms with his feelings for Bex but is it too late? The storyline is full of opportunities for additional questions that could lead to another book. If you haven't heard of the Mad Series, I suggest you grab a copy and see for yourself The men of Phoniex aren't going sit around and let the seedy underground world get away. All the men of the Mad World are worth getting to know.

I’ve been waiting (not so patiently) for Court and Bex’s story and Hannah McBride did not disappoint. We knew Court was completely in love with Bex but couldn’t over come his stupidity 😂 He was punishing them both to protect her but it didn’t work. Now she’s back in trouble and he’s finally realizing he can’t live without her.

It was an amazing story of Bex knowing her worth but trusting her heart. A story of Court getting his head out of his behind and making the choice to be different and honest.

I absolutely loved every minute of this book. This book is Bex’s becoming a grown woman and leaving the past behind.

Sexy, funny, dark, beautiful. Everything we love and expect from Hannah McBride.

I love these characters so much. I knew that I was interesting in their story from the moment they appeared in the Mad World Series. It was all I was thinking.
I am glad that they finally have their happy ending.

Bex and Court's story is a lot of things. It's heart-pounding, anxiety inducing and above all lovely.

I was rooting for them to finally get their shit together and actually get together. During that journey there were times when I was frustrated and times when I laughed really hard.

I loved being on their journey with them.

This was a reiteration of what happened in McBride's Mad World trilogy. You heard me. A repeat. Was I in the head of Ryan and Madison instead of Bex and Court? It definitely seemed like it bc the characters were carbon copies.

Yes, this is a spin-off. Yes, I despised the third book in the trilogy. Should I have read this? Probably not, but Court and Bex had such potential in the trilogy that I couldn't skip this. But now, I wish I had.

The controlling behavior of men in McBride's books is really concerning. This isn't hot. It's abusive. That's my take. This book has a high rating, so I know I'm in the minority. And the obsessive, jealous, possessive MMC ("this pussy is my pussy / I trust you, I don't trust anyone else / I'm jealous of anyone and everyone you even look at / no, you're not going anywhere bc I need to protect you / I make your choices for you for your own good") who all like anal, btw, is really not the best representation of a mature and sexy man. It reeks of insecurity. And the women think it's hot! Certain quirks or possessive and obsessive men can be very hot and sexy, but when you have MMCs like Court and Ryan? These boys are not worthy of the women they're paired with.

I get it! He's an "alphahole." I just think, overall, this book and all McBride's books need some serious editors, for the obvious grammar/sentence structure/word choice, but also for content and character development. She has skill, but you need these editors to have a polished story.

The attitude towards women in her books is also concerning. Every woman that comes onto page is a slut, flirting with the guy character in some way, a bimbo who insults Maddie or Bex, or an object to be fucked and discarded. This is sad.

The plot was predictable and boring. I skimmed this entire thing. Even the sex scenes! I know, that's surprising for me. But the intensity Court and Bex had was gone in this one due to immaturity and lack of communication. Two of the worst things characters can have.

Also, the word "fuck" was used 350 times in a 368 page book. McBride loves the word "shit," too. I don't mind cursing at all. They're versatile words and can be used for emphasis. But when it's used on every page, by every character, sometimes twice in the same paragraph of dialogue, it's lazy writing. Plain and simple. It takes me out of the story. There were so many instances where I ignored the curse words and replaced them with a better word or cut it out entirely and the dialogue was so much better. This reminds me of a writer's first draft rather than a polished one. It also makes me think that the author believes that young adults talk like this constantly and it's really not like that. Sometimes the first word you come up with is the worst option, but the 4th or 5th word that's synonymous is the best option. Just my thoughts.

I'll skip her future works. They're not for me anymore.

Happy reading, Goodreads fiends.

Whatever I was expecting from Bex and Court’s book, this is NOT it. Of course Court ended up wh0ring around instead of clearing up his feelings and man up to become the guy that Bex deserves and of f*cking course Bex ended up with a guy that seems sweet and nice and caring but actually a villain and the bad guy because god forbid this girl to have fun with other men like Court did womanizing left and right.

I genuinely thought, after reading Ryan and Mad’s book, I could expect the same or somewhat a similar vibe with these two in terms of their relationship but I’m sorely disappointed and sad really (because I was rooting for him to finally wake up) with having to read Court’s several hook ups scenes and Bex still trying to get over him. DNF-ing this because I just know how it’s going to end up and honestly, I feel like Court never deserves Bex because he wasn’t willful enough to really pursue her and ended up hurting Bex over and over again.

Into the Woods

3.5⭐ I really enjoyed the mad world series and had been looking forward to Court and Bexs story. This story continues their storyline with their history, tension and with storylines involving Phoenix. In this story Bex gets wrapped up in that a bit, putting Court and Bex together in Paris. Working through things between the two of them as well as the storyline involving Phoenix. I enjoyed having Phoenix storyline being part of the plot. I don't want to give too much away. I did feel like there was a little bit of back and forth between the two character's. Court basically said he was done playing games and like ready to profess his love one minute and the next he was totally done again and a chapter later ready again. Bex played games asking Court's brother on a date after seeing photos on his phone. And I felt like there could have been a better way for Bex to have that character to talk about Court to confide in asking him out on a date so fast after they seemed like they were getting it together and how it jump so quickly. It was frustrating back and forth and those issues seemed immature, and just one extreme to another.

Also the story happening so quickly the pacing and time lines were off to me. The beginning took a minute to get into as there was a lot of info dumping. The. After getting into the story I felt like the timeline and the pacing of the story was a bit off everything happened in a short amount of time after the first couple of chapters. And then there was a part in The backstory between Court and Bex with their age difference. I think when it comes to age gaps It's easier the older they are. I don't have problems with age gaps my parents have a 15-year age gap. But It did bother me the way that 9-year-old to 13-year-old kiss was described during a childhood. I feel like with Bex being sick she could have been held back a year due to illness, Court could have moved up a year they could have bridged that gap a little bit. I understand that in the original series for Mad World there was an age gap with high school/college. But the characters met later and didn't have anything as kids with that gap. Also I understand that the high school was necessary for that storyline for the father to have rights over the daughter I'm the OG series.

I feel like with this instead of taking place during the 2nd semester and Bex graduating early it could have took place during the summer and I think that would have made more sense for both the characters, the timeline, and the pacing. For example the other guy that Becs had been dating, instead of her going on 5 days with the guy over a week. I feel like the story would have benefited from her like dating him for like a month at least like 5 days that month for him to be as obsessed. And the events with Court and while plot taking place in a short time frame. Chapters in I was surprised only a day had past.

The book also seemed a little short to me. So that's why I have gave 3.5 but overall I enjoy Hannah's writing and the story. I do recommend having read the Mad World Series because The characters and events are mentioned a lot. As well as a lot of other characters, it seems like it's gearing up for a lot of different potential characters spin-offs. As we are giving a lot of info during the book and the past is talked about a lot but in a way I think it's better to have read the original trilogy first and it's a great original trilogy. Which will make you more invest in this story and understand the plot more That said I did really enjoy this book and these characters and like 50% and I got hooked and addicted to the storyline and what was going on and look forward to more from this world.

Before I begin, I would like to thank Hannah McBride and her team for sending me an arc of Into The Woods, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

If you have read a lot of my reviews, you know I love Hannah McBride.
Literally, I have never read a book from her that I don't like or love.
Her Blackwater Pack series is one of my favorites, but I also have a lot of love for her Mad World series.
It's dark.
It's twisted.
It's emotional, and hot, and interesting.
While I was sad when Maddie and Ryan's story "ended", I knew there was more story to tell, and I am SO happy Hannah McBride decided to write Court and Bex's story next. The tension between these characters was intense in Mad World, Mad as Hell, and Mad Love, and I needed these two to get together.
It was exactly what I wanted.
Intense, emotional connection, shared trauma, and lots of steam.
Because, of course! These two have been building up the last 3 books, and much longer than that behind the scenes, so Hannah makes sure its explosive between these two.
It wasn't just the romance that was great in this book.
It also continued the overall goal of Phoenix, which we are introduced to in Mad as Hell.
Taking out their seriously evil fathers, and putting a dent in the criminal underworld - especially in regards to sex trafficking. And while Ryan and Maddie's father's getting what they deserved in their stories was delicious to read, the different direction that happened in Into the Woods was just as satisfying.
That is all I will say on that.

Into the Woods was a great book, that brought two of my favorite characters together. It sets up some other future stories, not just in Hannah's Mad World series, but one with another author, Bella Matthews. She wrote The Risks We Take Duet, that has the same side characters as Hannah - mainly Court's half brother's. They are working on a book together, and are keeping mum on it, but if I were to focus on the hints left in this book, I'm thinking it's Rook, Court's brother, and Emerson, the widow of his best friend.
I loved Bella Matthews duet, and when I tell you I felt the connection between Rook and Emerson, I am not kidding. I want that book desperately.
There is also a bit of a drop of a new series Hannah is working on - By the Edge - which will center around a famous rock band. We meet them in The Risks We Take Duet.
And while nothing was confirmed, I felt like there could be a story or two featuring Bex's cousin, and the ballet world. That would be interesting.
Needless to say, I can't wait for the next book. Whatever Hannah McBride writes, I will read.

And we are back! Back in the Mad World era and I am so excited to be reunited with these characters! If you read Hannah McBride’s Mad World Series, then you know that Court and Bex have a history. One that no one knew if they would be able to overcome. But here we are and you are in for a ride with them and getting their HEA. Things to look for in this book:

High school senior/college romance ✔️
Second chance romance ✔️
All the side characters ✔️
Forced proximity ✔️
Friends to enemies to lovers ✔️
So much drama and suspense ✔️

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️
Angst level: 💔💔💔

Bex has moved to Paris to be with her mother and grandmother and to try to move on from her heartbreak over Court. Court has been in and out of her life since she was a child, but in the last book of the Mad World Series, things come to light and he once and for all has finally lost her for good. Or so everyone thinks.

But she does move on and her cousin sets her up with his brother named Eric. Eric seems like he is the perfect guy - polite, sweet, and the perfect catch. Things couldn’t be better, right? Until she finds out who he really is and finds herself needing to get away from him ASAP.

When Phoenix International, Court and his friends/brothers secret crew that bring justice to the crappy people in their lives, needs a few people to go on a mission, Court is there. But what he doesn’t know is that he is headed to Paris where Bex is and is about to be super involved in her life. Because Eric is the ringleader in a trafficking operation that involves all of their fathers.

And when things come to light - Bex know needs to rely on the one person who has hurt her over and over. But that ultimately brings them closer together. Will they be able to survive this time? Or will their past haunt them forever?

Ahh I love these characters and this world! I loved seeing Maddie and Ryan and them just being them. Along with Linc, Ash, Rook, Royal, and Bishop. I also love hearing about Rook and Emerson (a Bella Matthews character) - I love the crossover that we get there.

I’m hoping that we get a Linc story next because that man deserves his HEA!

Into The Woods By Hannah Mcbride. So this was the fourth book in the Mad World series, but this time it was Bex’s and Court story. I was so excited when this ARC landed on my kindle. Hannah has made this series so addictive to read. When I saw that it was Bex’s and Court story, I couldn't wait to read this book. I just knew it was gonna make me stress out and scream at the characters.

So we all know Bex Maddie's best friend and her life with the guys, especially Court. The massive secret that was finally revealed to her by the Court, but we only knew parts of, but we got the jist of what happened. But reading this book you get the fall run down of what happened that horrifying night. I loved how this book was set up. Hannah did a fantastic job retelling us briefly on what had happened in the previous books, so we knew what was going on if we forgot. It carried on from where Bex is now living in Paris, and Maddie and the guys are on the other side of the world still. But it seems no matter how far away Bex gets trouble always finds her. I loved how it connected everyone together again and still getting revenge on their fathers slowly but surely. Wow and there are some characters I had red alarms going as I read their names, God I HATED them so much.

Omg Court I wanted to shake him, I was just like will you talk to Bex. I loved seeing Bex and Court relationship building. Obviously it isn't perfect and can't all be forgiven straight away, but their scenes were so heartwarming and made me all fuzzy. Did I want to scream out FINALLY yes, yes I did, but how they got there my god. Hannah knows how to be on the edge of your seat, and scream at the book. I couldn't put this read down, I just had to keep reading to know what would happen cause I seriously couldn't take not knowing, specially when the book is swapping between the two characters, yes it a two POV book which I love but when it ends on there chapter, and jumps to the other ahhhhhhh lol. Another amazing hair-raising and heart-stopping read, which will leave you breathless. Full hearting warming and spicy romance and everything you would want in an adrenaline read.

I’ve been waiting for Bex and Court for what feels like a lifetime! They were my favorite side characters from the original books series and I couldn’t wait to see their story played out! If you have not read the Trilogy with Ryan and Maddie you will need to red that first. So stop here, and go get them now!!!!

When we left off in the last book with Ryan and Maddie they had successfully dismantled some of the heart and soul of the vile operations their father ran. Bex flew off to Paris to escape everything that went down and get space from Court. You knew their chapter wasn’t over, they were simply meant to be… which means they both needed to get over the past, come clean and forgive once and for all.

The story that unfolded was nothing like I ever expected. Bex always came off as a little naive to me in the first book. But little did we know she had the fight of a lioness under all that pain she harbored from a past she couldn’t even truly remember and the betrayal inflicted when the boy she loved left her side years ago. Bex came across as strong and resilient and not willing to go down without a fight, on many levels. When she sets her mind to a task she doesn’t back down even if she is putting her life in danger.

Court Woods was an unexpected breath of fresh air… that boy can seriously make you swoon, and who would have ever known it under that hard relentless exterior he put out into the world. I won’t say much more but be prepared cause damn is he sweet, and devilishly sexy, but still hard headed as ever. He will stop at nothing to protect everyone around him, even if it’s to his own demise…

This book didn’t end in the way I was expecting and now I’m terrified of what’s to come next. But damn if I won’t be feverishly waiting to one click the next book and see where the seedy underworld and the boys of Phoenix International leads us next. I have a feeling it’s going to be a whole lot of edge of your seat angst!

Let me start this review by saying “Don’t think you can sit and just read for 15 minutes before you are running out the door, heading to work or watching sports” It’s not going to happen!!! I wasn’t that far into the book and I’m sitting giggling while I’m reading the first chapter! I don’t know who thought I was weird, my dogs or my hubster.

Hannah always starts right away with a little spark and builds up to an explosion! Court and Bex’s book is amazing!!! I love how we got more of Court’s backstory in this book. I love how Bex is such a strong female character. Bex knows what she wants and has no problem letting Court know exactly what she wants and needs. (If you get my drift wink, wink ). Bex really came into her own in this book!

Here are some of my favorite quotes:

“I’d fill the void left by Rebecca Whittier by being better. By making her proud. Even if she’d never know I was doing it all for her.”

“I’d always been drawn to the alphahole heroes, in books and in life. But those guys weren’t good in anything but fiction.”

“Well, stupider than sniffing him like I was a shifter in a romance novel.” (mmm remind you of anyone from the Blackwater Pack?)

His lips brushed my ear once more. “I’ll . . . wreck you, Becca. I’ll ruin you for any other man, and I’ll never let you go.”

“Romance authors deserved way more credit than they got.” (Absolutely!!)

“My eyes are up here, gorgeous,” he teased.”

“Her head snapped up, eyes flashing with warning. “Don’t touch the Kindle. Don’t ever touch the Kindle.”

“And, in some stupid little way that made my heart go flippity -flop, reminded me how safe he made me feel.”

I had some hunches in Chapter 5 but man I wasn’t expecting what happened later in the book. I have said this before, Hannah has a devious mind and this book takes the cake, for now. I’m sure she has more in store for her readers, down the road.

Into the woods is a spin off or continuation of Hannah’s Mad World Series. In Mad World you follow Maddison’s story of discovering who her father is and discovers she has a twin sister.. and she takes over said sisters life. She becomes best friends with Rebecca Whittier AKA Becca or Bex.. Into the Woods follows Bex and Court Woods Turbulent and spicy relationship. I would highly recommend reading the Mad World series first.. or you may be confused with parts of this book.

If Hannah writes it - I will read it! She always delivers on a great plot, character development, and world building. But not to the point where those details get boring. The only thing I did not like about this book is in my opinion there was maybe one or two spicy scenes that I didn’t really want but only because I love the plot and am so invested in the plot that that is my focus. If you did read Mad World Series and felt there wasn’t enough spice this book definitely brings it!

In mad world Becca discovers something traumatic happened to her when she was a kid battling cancer but she didn’t remember it.. either because she was so sick or because her PTSD wouldn’t allow her to.
Into the woods picks up where it left off with Bex and her mom moving to Paris.. Bex uses this as an opportunity to get distance from her past and the man that has kept it a secret from her all this time. She tries to move on and ends up dating a really bad and dangerous guy.. and finds herself in a lot of danger. Court and the rest of Phoenix were already in Paris looking into this man and are there to save her.

After Bex was abandoned by Court, the boy she’s loved since childhood, she tried to move on with her life by moving to the other side of the world with her mom and grandparents in Paris. Court’s next mission lands him in the same city as Bex, and their paths are about to cross, but not for good reasons. Court must now keep Bex as safe as possible, while also trying to convince her that he’s changed and is a better man. Will these two evade danger and reconcile their past?

💭 𝚃𝙷𝙾𝚄𝙶𝙷𝚃𝚂:

Court and Bex’s story was absolutely amazing! It’s everything I could have wished for them! This book is dark, and very much goes into real world issues that are heavy, but the darker the story the better for me lately.

Seriously, every page was action packed and drama filled and the story was never slow! There are a lot of of “new” characters that we get to meet a little more which was amazing, and I’m already dying for Cami’s story!

Also 🥵🥵 woooo the spiciest Hannah McBride book yet I think! Bex’s fantasies and Court totally being okay with those fantasies was H O T. HOT. Like reallllllly hot.

I couldn’t get enough of these two, and already can’t wait to reread their story!

I was so excited about this book and couldn't wait to read about Bex and Court's intricate relationship. The story unfolds with a perfect mix of familiar characters and new obstacles, interweaving the ongoing plotlines of the Mad World trilogy. The ensemble, including Maddie and Ryan, continues to bring a delightful presence and humour to the tale. Court's brothers assume a more significant role, hinting at potential future developments within Phoenix International.

The romance between Bex and Court, a long-awaited union, is utterly perfect ❤️. The characters' journey, filled with confrontations and revelations, proves thoroughly engaging. Although I wished for more contrition from Court, their ultimate connection felt gratifying.

The narrative introduces new adversaries and twists, maintaining high stakes throughout. However, I sensed a topic deserving more exploration and a concluding scene that could have been more explicitly addressed. Perhaps these aspects will be revisited in future bonus scenes or instalments.

Hannah's writing style, as always, had me reading non-stop until the end! The story captures all the angst and denial of a couple undoubtedly destined for each other. It could even be described as a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers tale. The narrative includes a good amount of spice (🌶️🌶️🌶️)!

In addition to this epic love story, a diabolical villain with an unthinkable agenda is introduced. The suspense is action-packed, leading to an intervention with Phoenix, providing time with Maddie, Ryan, Linc, and Court's brood of brothers 🔥

Finally! Been dying to get Bex and Court’s book and it has finally arrived! These two have been driving me crazy since I first picked up Mad World. You knew they were meant to be together but so many secrets, over protectiveness, and a few other things kept these two from crossing that final line. But enough is enough. Bex is trying to move on but even though she is across the world in Paris, she still can’t stop thinking about Court. However, she knows she has to. So she gives in and lets her cousin set her up on a blind date. Too bad for her that ends up leading her down a path that is dark and and dangerous enough to involve Phoenix… aka Court. Court’s hit an all time low and his brothers and friends have had enough. He needs to tell Becca how she feels or let her go. And when he is sent on a mission, he sees Becca in the crosshairs and he snaps. Mostly. He’ll have to get his butt kicked a few more times to get things right but he knows the time has come for Becca to learn the truth. Why he pushed her away, why he thought it was a good idea, what he would do to keep her safe. But Court learns that maybe the key to keeping her safe is to have her by his side. These two were… woah! So much to resolve, but the making up was everything we’ve been waiting for. This book had everything we expect in this series, the steamy romance, the action, and the danger. I couldn’t put this down. And I cannot wait to see more of this series play out. We have so many great characters and a story line with so much at stake. Another great book from Hannah! And I can’t wait for more!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Words cannot describe how excited I was to get my hands on this book. Since the Mad World trilogy that I wanted, NEEDED, to see Bex and Court fix what was broken and get together! And boy wasn't this book something!
Into the Woods picks up immediately after where Mad Love left out but this time Maddie and Ryan take the side characters seat. Bex is on the other side of the world running away from the revelations that happened in Mad Love and Court needs to fucking get his head out of his ass!!!
The story evolves and we get to see old villains and new ones. The plot from the original trilogy is followed up on this one, new developments, new targets, new characters but all going in the same direction - taking down the guys dad's and Phoenix International being amazing.
In the mix of so many new things we still get to see out gang all together and being is hilarious as always. Seeing Maddie and Ryan happy and in love is amazing after everything they went through, and I really, really want Linc's story to be next....but we will see.
I liked that in this book we see a little bit more of Court's brothers, they have a more predominant role in this book and they will probably become more important along the way considering they are a huge part of Phoenix.
The romance....these two have been driving me nuts for 4 books now and I so loved finally seeing their story and them getting together. It was so adorable! And HOT!!! Omg Court Woods was always swoon material but mother of god in this book...
Bex my sweet sweetie, I wished she had made Court grovel a little more. She did confront him and stood her ground but I was hoping for a little more grovel.
But no matter what they are perfect together and a unique story that I loved reading.
My only two things with this book were that I felt like there was a subject that wasn't as discussed as it should have been and one scene at the end that was omitted and that I felt like it was important to be on paper. I'm hoping we might get the latter as a bonus scene some day.
Still, in general I loved this book and was totally addicted and I can't wait for what comes next!

I was so happy to finally get a chance to read Bex and Court's story after getting hints to their backstory throughout the main Mad World series. I just needed their story and for them to get their happily ever after too! Into the Woods takes place immediately following the events of Mad Love, but instead of continuing to focus on Maddie and Ryan, we get to focus on Bex and Court instead (not that Maddie and Ryan have gone anywhere, and it is sure great to see them post Mad Love events). Into the Woods is a second-chance romance (or maybe.. like third or fourth chance? These two have been a roller coaster ride!) with a dash of forced proximity that finally gets us to work through all of the drama that Bex and Court have been through, and all of their baggage. Similar to the previous Mad World series books, the banter is top-notch and we also get a view into some of the side characters we didn't get to learn much about in previous books. This book definitely ups the angst level a little more, but as always Hannah McBride does a phenomenal job and makes the angst feel realistic and not over the top. If you loved the Mad World series you will also love Into the Woods! Rooting for a Linc novel to be next!
