As he struggles to hold onto his humanity, he finds himself the unlikely protector of a young girl seeking safety. Can he protect her from others? Can he protect her from himself?

This was a short story where a man kills his infected wife to stop her becoming a zombie and botches his own suicide to wake up as a sort of half zombie who doesn't want to hurt anyone. I can't really say much because it is short but it was a decent quick read for zombie fans.
