Daisy L’Amore is faced with impossible choices. A prophecy given a year ago has Daisy and her two best friends racing the clock to find love before midnight on Valentine’s Day or they will lose everything they’ve worked for, including With a Twist, the martini bar and bistro the three of them own. A crystal heart and a gypsy’s words guide them, but love has a way of making its own rules, and Daisy is afraid to break them.
Romeo Corazón is shaking up Daisy’s world, but will the transformation he brings to her life be the downfall of everything she values? Or will falling in love with the wrong man make everything right?

This is just one part of a trio of short books - Dirtying It Up, Stirring It Up and Shaking It Up, by three different authors - Calista Fox, Mary Leo and Erin Quinn, all of them new to me. Interestingly enough, this was my favorite even though it was instant love and instant sex. I usually prefer a little get-to-know-you time, but the author made it work for me. I was pulled into their emotions in this book more than I would have expected for a novella. I will definitely be looking for more from all of these authors, this author especially.
Three best friends and a gypsy. What could happen? Well the Gypsy makes a bunch of predictions and they almost all seem to come through. Daisy is the bartender at the martini bar that she and her 2 best friends own along with a attached bistro. Daisy feels like she's a fraud. She can't come up with her own drink combo's she has to find them on the Internet. The gypsy tells Daisy that her mom who had died from cancer had left her a letter. She does in fact find the letter right where the gypsy says it is. She and her friends all need to open their hearts and find their true loves before the next Valentine's day. She predicts them getting the martini bar and restaurant and much success. The ominous part of her prediction being they will lose everything of value to them if they don't find their true loves and make them return their love by Feb. 14th. A clear crystal heart shows up in the bar that the gypsy had and it's supposed to show them the one. At this point it's already pointed out men for her two friends but for Daisy nothing. Then a funny thing happens. Two very different men approach her bar and somehow the heart lights up on both of them, or so it seems. Bad boy rough and tumble construction guy Rome and Mr sweet and respectable with a British accent. Hmmmmm now what? Afraid of getting hurt she goes for respectable looking guy. First Mr. Respectable doesn't show up for their date and then when she tried again he attacks her. Rome to the rescue both times though. This guy is totally sigh worthy and not all he seems. He's a great guy with money and a company he owns. I confess i fell in love with Rome. Loved the name the description of him and his bad boy motorcycle too. Knows how to love a woman too. Daisy takes a long time getting a clue that Rome was the one right from the start. loved it! 4 out of 5 Modokker book Pick stars. Well Ladies... grab your martini and a block of ice to sit on because you are going to get HOT reading this book! This is "eggs frying on the sidewalk" hot, its "water sizzling on a frying pan" hot, "Florida with 102 in the shade" hot! There was a fun little storyline behind all this romance (and sex). I love stories with that magical quality to them, that touch of "magical realism". Besides all the parts that I had to close my eyes for.. alright, I admit I kept one eye open, this was a really cute story! I really liked Daisy and she seemed like a real sweetie to me. I wanted for all her dreams to come true. I really wasn't sure about "Rome" in the beginning, I didn't trust him right away. - but he did end up growing on me. And Erin sure painted a pretty picture of him!
"The man who'd made the request sat at the bar, wearing a weathered jean jacket over a flannel button down with a faded t-shirt beneath. She couldn't see below the waist, but she didn't have to see to guess there'd be shabby jeans on his long legs. From the fine layer of dust covering him, she'd guess construction worker."
This is my kind of guy!!!!! I love the rugged type! I like the way it mentions the characters in the other 2 books in the series (Rose and Jasmine) tying all 3 books together very nicely. When i started reading the next book I felt like I already knew a little bit about them.
Shaking It Up is a fun and spicy Valentine's Day read about three friends who own a martini bar/bistro. A year ago they were drawn to a gypsy's stand where she foretold their future and warned them that they must find love before the next Valentine's Day or lose everything. That potentially catastrophic date is closing in...and fast!
This particular installment of Love, Served With a Twist is about Daisy, the bartender for 'With a Twist'. She is torn between sexy, bad boy Rome and seemingly nice guy William. Can one of these guys really be her future or will she miss out on love and lose everything her and her friends have?
I really enjoyed reading Shaking It Up and ironically I read this while drinking a glass of wine. It's not quite a martini but it was still fun to curl up with a good book and my friend, Moscato ;-).
This is one of those quick reads but that doesn't mean you go missing out on feeling the romance, sweetness and the anger that this book gives.
I totally love the friendship that Daisy has and definitely understand her feelings of not contributing so much to the business as she would like to. I think it was slightly intriguing to have the story on the gypsy. It does give a little twist in the story and kudos to that awesome name given to that bar/restaurant.
I enjoyed reading that you don't get wrong following your heart despite what sometimes the 'signs' tells you. I guess you should always trust that 'inner' self and gut instincts. Rome just couldn't be a better man... a hunk, great bod, sensitive, supportive, sweet.
this is my favorite story in the series. while i don't like love triangles i liked how things didn't turn out as they seemed with either man and daisy was forced to look past her preconceived notions. rome is a really sweet and loveable man. i liked that he just shucked his day job to do something he really loved. i liked how he pursued daisy...he was pretty irresistible (even though she tried). daisy seemed like the strongest of the 3 leading ladies, except for when she finally found what she wanted!
again, you have to believe a little of the unbelievable with this story (as in the whole series).
This was very fast, fun, and flirty. Each of these books can be stand-alones in this series but its cute how they connect. I really like Daisy. I felt bad for her though. She wanted to follow her heart and be with Rome but her head got in the way with the prophecy from the gypsy woman. Rome is a total hottie. He has the looks of a bad boy and the cockiness but he's really sweet. I loved how passionate he is and him and Daisy were hot as heck together. I really enjoy Erin Quinn's writing style and this is a quick and cute series.
*I received this book free in exchange for an honest review* Reading these 3 books, though stand alone, you get to love these characters. The women are witty and interesting. Fun. Though this one is not as sexy as Dirtying It Up, this is still a great romance where the heart has to make a choice. These women who are guided by a gypsy, knowing their futures, now have to fulfill those predictions by opening their hearts to the right men. Daisy's story is a sigh worthy romance.
This was the second book in the series I received free on FB. I enjoyed this book and look forward to the next and last book in the Love With A Twist collection.
