Hearts Of Sand
Trinity Pierce goes from mousy book worm to Vampire royalty. Hired by her creator to search for a very powerful vampiric artifact, she finds that she might actually be what everyone is after. She won't be without help, her personal assistant Arsen lends his hand in more than just her professional business and Vlad who funds her expedition hopes for more than just his artifact.

I was lucky enough to win an ecopy of Hearts of Sand by Jamie Dougherty, through Book Chatter Cath's giveaway.
Trinity Pierce is a "blend into the woodwork" girl due to her mother's constant belittling of her. She's in college when she meets the dark and mysterious Vlad. Her encounter with him changes her life forever. Then add Arsen, her personal assistant, to the mix and you have a fascinatingly complex story that is difficult to put down.
I'm so glad I read this story and will be reading more of Jamie Dougherty's books.

Twilight for adults but better! Not your typical vampire story, not predictable and lots of dimension! I loved it! I cant wait for the next one!

REVIEW: When author Jamie Lynn approached me regarding a review for her Hearts of Sands book which released back in July I got all excited. Jamie is the author of the Samantha Brand Series which I also loved and though I know this book is completely different from her angel books I was happy to see she had kept the paranormal theme that she exploits and do so well.
Hearts of Sand is a great story, it follows the mystery of an ancient artifact and tale that says that if you consume the hearts of 3 of the most powerful vampires you will hold immense power. Now, the problem with that is that everyone in the paranormal world thought to be just an ancient tale, nobody actually believe it to be truth until a very dangerous, power hungry vampire starts a hunt for them. Trinity Pierce is approached by the last person she wanted to see again, her maker. Trinity is a vampire, turned by no less than the prince himself Vlad (yeah THAT Vlad). She didn’t want to get involved with Vlad once again, she learned from her mistakes however, after getting an offer she could hardly refuse, Trinity embark in an adventure/search to find this ancient artifacts (the brothers’ heart) without knowing that she soon would discover her true nature and her real power.
What I like about the story is the way the author explores the different characters, from the wolves & vampires to witches. Vlad the prince is powerful, sexy, smart and oh so swoon worthy. Oh and Arsen, he knows how to swoon a girl right off her feet. He is caring, loving, sexy, and the king of the race. Both of these vampires can drive a woman to her knees and both know how to make her quiver.
If after reading those lines your heart doesn’t jump and you squirm in your chair nothing will make you squirm.
The dialog is fun and the interaction between the characters is simple yet fun, giving us an intricate and fascinating page turner story that will leave you craving for more. The characters are sexy, funny, passionate and complex, Jamie manages to create a fantastic love triangle that will make you giggle, laugh and crave for them, making it hard to choose sides but also making it almost unavoidable to not love all of them. I really was enthralled by the story, once I started reading it I couldn’t let go. I admit to being a big time fan of Vlad, his passion, his undeniable love and admiration for Trinity goes beyond fledgling and maker. There were times when I was as conflicted as Trinity when deciding which I liked more. I loved Arsen. His loyalty, friendship and love towards Trinity was heartfelt, I wouldn’t be able to decide between him and Vlad, they are both awesome. I am looking forward to the next book, I love Jamie Lynn’s writing style, I enjoy the world she creates and her characters. If you haven’t already done so, read Hearts of Sand, you will not regret it.

I was lucky enough to get to Beta read Hearts Of Sand for the author, and having already read her other series I must say this one is new and exciting!! The characters are strong and excellently developed. Each character could and should have their own novella back story! *wink wink* Raw passion and lurking lust fills the pages of this story without being gross with details. You, as did I will love the super hot male leads, Arsen and Vlad as they compete for Trinity's attention! Confrontation scene are thick with dominating male hormones, thusly balanced with sweet counter romantic intentions! Jamie doesn't disappoint with any of her work and this is no exception to her roster of titles! I can't wait for more of this series and more from the author! 5 out of 5 for Hearts Of Sand by Jamie Lynn Dougherty!!!

I love this book I couldn’t put it down. Trinity pierce is a bit of a bookworm but then she meets Vlad and her whole life changes.
The book is about love triangles, family,secrets, vampires, myths and legends. Trinity is hired to find a long lost treasure, her employer turns out to be an old flame Vlad. So Trinity, Vlad and Trinity’s gay best friend Arsen
Its full of action and adventure definatley a twilight for adults.
The author filled the book with twists and turns that made you want to keep reading can’t wait for her new book

Amazing story, I could not put it down and actually stopped in the middle of JD Robbs Time of Death to read this. Eagerly anticipating a series with this storyline by this author whom I consider an amazing artist and author. Now I need to know where is Aurel, has he met the true death, and Sorin, is he secure. What does the future hold for Trinity, Arsen and Vlad? Things I must know, lol, soon I hope.

Really enjoyed this book! Not your typical Vampire read. More mystery and suspense. The story builds with a steady heart beat. You like the characters from the beginning. Jamie uses words as artfully as she uses paint to pallet! I recommend this book to anyone that likes adventure/love stories.

Fabulous read, love the new spin on vampires by Dougherty! I'm a supernatural junkie and it's always fun to discover a new authors version! A bit of vamps, bit of weres and a bit of witches! This book covers them all and has you turning the pages too fast...next thing you know you are done and BEGGING for the next book! Can't wait!

Truly enjoyed this book from start to finish! From the new way to become a vampire to the surprise in the middle of the book, Jamie keeps you interested and waiting to see what will happen next. Loved it!

Trinity is a history geek turned vampire queen. Her passion in life is to collect historical objects
Vlad is a Prince vampire who just happens to want Trinity for his own. Vlad hires the queen to find a centuries old legend.
Arsen is Trinity's gay best friend and personal assistant. He runs all over the world just to make sure she is dressed appropriately at the right times makes sure she has all that she needs and his little dog Gregory does not eat her bras.
This book is full of humor in every page, sexual innuendoes, and lots of kicking butt vampire style.
This was a fun read and one i could not stand to stop reading. I hope this is only a book one i would love to see what would come from a book 2.

I loved this book, just like Jamie's other series (The Guardian books) I couldn't pout this down and it stayed with me throughout each day and for days after I finished it.
If you love fantasy/paranormal, definitely give this a go.
