As I await Sinjin’s return from Africa, with hopes he’ll have an answer or a cure as to why I can no longer feel the presence of my child, I’m riddled with concern.

For Sinjin and for the baby.

To make matters worse, Kinloch Kirk is under a magical attack.

The question by whom?

Half the constituents of Jolie’s council believe the newly relocated Daywalkers are responsible, but others aren’t so sure.

I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.

My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.

Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!

The Changeling is book 8 in HP Mallory's Bryn and Sinjin series, and the second book I've read in the series. I am not a stranger to HP Mallory's stories or writing style and The Changeling fits in with all things HP. The Changeling is a great book in the Bryn and Sinjin series.

Sinjin and Bryn are going to be parents soon and their excitement flows off the pages. Unfortunately, something mysterious happens and the baby Bryn could "feel" and "hear" is now silent. The baby issue has Sinjin traveling to Africa to find out what might be causing the abnormalities in Bryn's pregnancy. While he's gone, Kinloch Kirk goes utterly mad.

The Daywalkers are settling in a but relations are strained. Tensions escalate when mysterious occurrences and sabotage rear their ugly heads. Between the problem with the baby and the restlessness of the residents of Kinloch Kirk, there also seems to be a magical attack happening. Some are more immune to the effects than others but if the mysterious magic isn't revealed and removed there is going to be an all out war between the residents and the Daywalkers.

The interactions between Bryn and Sinjin are sweet and romantic. I love them together. My favorite part of Sinjin is his touch of humanity and it shines through in many ways, especially in his love for Bryn. I love and admire Bryn's strength and endurance. She's a warrior, seen and been through more than anyone should have ever had to, and came out on the other end. She's not unscathed but her experiences aid her in making sure she attempts to be the best person she can be and help as many people as she can, such as her rescue of the Daywalkers from Luce.

The story is well-paced and flows along nicely. I enjoyed to the character development and world building. The characters are original and the story is fresh. The story and characters captivated me and kept me engaged. I look forward the next book in the series.

I was provided a copy of the book to read.

This book starts exactly where book 7 left off . Bryn and Sinjin are getting to know their way around pregancy when Bryn can't feel the connection to her unborn baby . The baby is still alive but the connection is gone . To figure out what is going on Sinjin heads to Africa to find mother earth aka Gaia to ask for help . Leaving Bryn at home where Kinloch Kirk is under a magical attack . Which they don't know where it is coming from . Will Sinjin find out what dark magic is hurting his child and will Kinloch Kirk figure out who is attacking them .

There are so many things that are going on in this book. Sinjin is off to find out what is wrong with his child and Bryn is fighting a battle at home . This story will give you all the feels . The characters keep evolving and getting more and more complex . I really love Bryn and Sinjin together . They really compliment each other and bring out the best . Sinjin well he is so sexy when he is protector mode and being in daddy protector mode is oh so sexy . Bryn is wanting to kick butt and take names through out this book . She just doesn't give up ,
I absolutely adore this series and i read this book in an evening . The author takes us on an adventure ride that will give you all the feels . There were moments where i actually snorted cause i was laughing , and times where I had tears rolling down my cheeks . Yes there is a very sad scene but I am not going to spoil it and tell you , you will just have to read the book to find out . You would think that after book 8 the characters would be getting old but they aren't, they keep evolving and getting better and better . The story keeps you entertained and on the edge of your seat most of the time . So if you want a series that has vampires , werewolves , fairies and more this is the series for you .

Bryn, a sensitive, can no longer feel the connection she had experienced for the past two weeks with her unborn baby. The baby is alive, but Bryn is very concerned at no longer being able to feel the emotions she felt before. Sinjin, the ever-vigilant protector, is heading off to seek out Mother Earth, Gaia, for help in figuring out what sort of danger this may indicate.

With Sinjin out of the area, Kinloch Kirk is under a magical attack, leaving Bryn to manage any defense that is required. Are the Daywalkers, who were invited here for a better life, to blame for the attack as most of Jolie’s Council believe? Or is something else going on, perhaps someone still working for Luce?

This author is so awesome with her stories! There is a magic in her writing that the reader will feel on every page. I was especially enjoying Sinjin’s pet names for Bryn – my Hellion, my Tempest – so descriptive and, uh, accurate! I laughed every time he addressed her in that way. Regardless, Bryn’s trust in the Daywalkers as opposed to Sinjin’s skepticism gave the story the tension it needed to keep the reader alert for betrayal. You will probably never find yourself completely relaxing while reading one of these books. There is always something ready to spring out and make you sit up straight or even yelp! Great stuff!

Things should be at a standstill and Bryn should be taking a brief pause in the battle against Luce. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Something is wrong with Bryn's baby and she has a really bad feeling about it. In fact, she'd say Luce is responsible.

Sinjin will move heaven and earth to protect Bryn and his unborn child. If that means leaving her side and traveling to Africa, then he will. In order to receive answers, Sinjin must go through some pretty important trials to prove he's worthy. What happens when he finds out the truth?

The SINJIN SINCLAIR series continues with book eight, THE CHANGELING. Sinjin and Bryn have been through so much separately and together. I was overjoyed to learn they were expecting a child. Sadly, things are going to be easy for them in that arena either. These two will need each other now more than ever. Together, they will prevail.

Since you have made it this far in the series you know that Bryn is pregnant with Sinjin’s baby. How did that happen well he sacrificed something to open a portal to help in the fight against Luce.
With this book you have lots of interesting things going on in the story with plot twists and plenty of surprises. Some issues will be resolved and the big question is where is the baby?
Well you will have to read the next book in the series but this book is excellent and will keep you busy from the beginning to the end. Lots of action, some humor, unexpected romance but perfectly chosen and the surprises are the best!
I highly recommend this book!

I’ll say it again. I love this couple. Both are strong and loyal. When their baby is at risk, Sinjin will move mountains to save it. While he is seeking help, Kinlock Kirk is under attack and Bryn must work to solve the problem before innocents are hurt and ties irrevocably altered. There’s a cliffhanger, of course, but I have hope that this power couple can make it through and save their family.

I do not usually write a review but I have to say that I have read every book in this series and love everything about the series. I think Bryn and Sinjin are the perfect pair. I am very sad that Bryn has essentially lost her little girl. I believe that Luce is beyond evil. I hope that in the next book that Sinjin and Bryn find their daughter safe and sound. I also hope that Luce gets what is coming to him.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. Bryn can't feel her baby's emotions and Sinjin needs to take a journey to find out what is causing the threat. The book was fast-paced and held my interest. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more books in this series.

This was my absolute favorite Sinjin book! I love this crazy vampire anyway but he's definitely in top form in the Changeling!

The adventures pick up from the first page and they don't let up at all. A new threat has taken form and your face have to figure out what's going on before it's too late.

This is a must read story that grabs you by the horns or fangs whichever you want to go with.
