What matters most to you? What does your future hold? And are you using your energy in the most consequential way - by pursuing the life of your dreams?
In her first book, the bestselling JUST F*CKING DO IT, Noor Hibbert showed you how to turn your life around by changing the way you think. This book goes deeper by examining not just how to improve your life through positive thinking, but how to direct your positivity in the most consequential direction - towards the life you most want - and need - to live.
This book will redirect your focus towards your future by stepping back and looking inward first - examining what has got you to this point in your life and pinpointing what you most need, next. Too often we're told to find our purpose but left floundering when it comes to putting it into practice.
This book will show you there is no one divine route but instead a combination of independent purposes which you can sequence, pursue, combine and implement. You'll learn to live on purpose, reclaim your power, gain a new and healthier perspective and realize that life is for the making and the taking. And the author who is well on track to manifesting her way to a million will show you how the universe will be work alongside you, offering help.
Noor Hibbert is a qualified life and business coach, serial-entrepreneur, motivational speaker, author, mother, spiritual badass and creator of the hit podcast 'Think It, Get It'.
This book is for all who want to learn the basics of law of attraction. In my opinion is for younger audience, because it is based on Noor's experiences as a young adult (alcohol, drugs, first love etc.).
In some moments we realize that we are lost and feel stuck in life and this book helps us to wake up. We have so many possibilities, yet we feel helpless. Most people are living in survival mode, not creation mode – they are living at an unconscious low-level state of stress, which means their body is out of balance. We have to live, not just exist. We can actually attract and manifest what we want in our lives.
Noor Hibbert introduces manifesting method; decide what you want, uncover the beliefs you have in regard to your desire, reprogramme your mind, tune into universe FM and take inspired and guided action. It takes practice and commitment to master the steps. When you let go of trying to manipulate the outcome, the universal flow of abundance with everything you want can flow straight to you. The Universe knows what you want.
Finally, our lives will transform and we will become healthy and happy and see that life is for the taking, when you decide to take it.
If you like to read simple and easy self-help books, then You only live once is just for you.
Thank you NetGalley and Teach Yourself for the advanced reader copy; all opinions are my own.

Finding your purpose in life, begs the question “who am I?” This can be explored in an infinite amount of ways. There were also multiple powerful quotes, such as: “We are way more powerful than we will ever give ourselves credit for”. However, there’s not much substance to support these great quotes. I loved the concept, but it at times felt more like a resume and didn’t seem to tackle anything with depth. I like the idea of exploring and finding your purpose, I just don’t think this delivered on what my expectations were.
Okay, so it took me two months and a half to finish this book but I must say I'm glad I read it slower. I started this book before an event that could decide my life. And it kinda did. I didn't "woke up" when I finished this book, but it helped me in some way. It reassured some of my beliefs and I can say that I will remember some of the things I read here when I wanna have more self-confidence.
I think I highlighted a lot of phrases and paragraphs because they were inspiring or informative. I wasn't interested in a lot of chapters, but I can really say that I extracted something from most of them.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read this book.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
This is my first Noor Hibbert book and I was attracted to the book by the title. You Only Live Once is self help book perfect for fans of self help books and non nonfiction readers. The book's overall message was about the relationship between thoughts and emotions. The book also touched on how law of attraction works and how it can help one get the life of their dreams. I recommend this book to fans of law of attraction and manifesting.
thanks netgalley for the chance to read this book early! i've been on a journey to better myself and this book helped me realize alot of things. i enjoyed this book alot.
I read Noor's first book and loved it so I was looking forward to reading You Only Live Once.
Having joined her Academy last month, I am all in to findthe path to living my best life and manifesting my desires. This book goes into depth about the human spirit, thought, cause and effect until you can't help but see where you have been going wrong with the so-called 'mistakes' in your life. The fact is, these mistakes were lessons that maybe we don't heed!
A great read that has furthered my learning and determination to change my mindset and, in turn, my life...
I'm a sucker for self help books but this didn't work for me at all. Leaving aside the law of attraction thing (if you are into it, this leans heavily on that), it just felt so poorly written and edited. It's massively repetitive, heavy on personal stories that are told multiple times, and with very little in the way of actionable advice or activities.
Het is enige tijd geleden dat ik het eerste boek van Noor Just f*cking do it heb gelezen.
This book is an entirely useless waste of time, and I’m disappointed nobody stopped it before it got published. In short, the author took a class in psychology, and uses psych 101 terms to describe works of other literary works, along with her own unfounded opinions such as: - scientists and neuroscientists know very little about how the brain works - Einstein was wrong (and she is right?) - Psychiatrists are ruining mental health - People condition themselves into anxiety and depression
She also compares watching the TV to the MK Ultra experiments, thinks she is unique because she likes the sunshine, mojitos, and the beach, and considers herself edgy because she isn’t afraid of dropping a couple f bombs here and there.
In reality she is an uneducated mess full of contradictions.
You Only Live Once is an easy to read and palatable self help book by Noor Hibbert. I love a self help book especially about changing our thoughts and how your thoughts and emotions are connected, it never hurts to read more about that and changing your mindset. This book however also delves into Laws of Attractions which does not speak to me as much as the other concepts. I think trying to manifest the life you want is vital and important but with action and changing mindsets. I am glad it worked out for the author but I would like more concrete steps and more action oriented messaging; or a bigger admission of the work she did to get where she is with her accomplishments.
Overall, I would say this book was motivational and helped me realize a thing or two about my current situation and my past behaviors. I liked that Noor was open to sharing her personal experiences to help aid the audience in how she discovered her purpose. I would say the most noteworthy part of the book for self development would be in Part Three of the book. Most of the other parts/chapters really just give you insight on Noor's life and felt a little repetitive (but maybe that's a good thing). 3.5/5
Noor candidly shares a lot of her personal life as examples to support the ways of finding our purpose and making the most of our lives. There are some pearls of wisdom and I admire her tenacity. Her honesty is refreshing but at times felt that she overshared and that this was distracting and even detrimental.
I was given this book from the author via netgalley only for the pleasure of reading and leaving an honest review should I choose to.
A very enjoyable read that showed us, through the author’s story, how to gain strength and positivity and look at things a certain way. As is generally the way, you can take little nuggets and gems away from this to help you with your life but I think for people who are struggling with positivity they may find it hard to reconcile some instances that might be more good luck. Thanks for the book in return for an honest review.
A continuation of Noor’s straight-talking, no-excuses approach. This one focuses more on finding your purpose and reclaiming your power. It’s a mix of mindset, spirituality, and personal growth. Some sections felt a little repetitive, but the core message is strong: you’re the creator of your reality, so start acting like it.
WHO SHOULD READ THIS; If you’re looking for a mix of self-discovery, manifestation, and goal-setting.
THIS BOOK IS 🤯 I am genuinely in awe of this book. I read it in one sitting. Incredibly written from real life experiences, I’m speechless and I can’t find the words to say besides you NEED to read this book when it is released!
I really wanted to enjoy this book, but unfortunately didn't and spent most of it just wanting to get to the end 😕 I thought this book was going to teach you the process of manifesting.. which I guess maybe it does.. but hidden in the story of Noor's life. Noor's life seems very interesting, but the book seemed disjointed and didn't really flow for me. Gutted I didn't enjoy this book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I finally finished it. IDK if I would recommend it to someone, cause the point of view if long-stretched. I'm glad I finished it though, gives me a good feeling about myself that I finished a book finally...
I have read the Dutch version. It only had 238 pages, thankword included.
I love Noor Hibbert. I really and truly do but what I would say is I didn't learn anything for this book that I didn't learn from her first book or from being part of her JFDI academy for a while. It is a good read though.
3.75 I enjoyed it, easy to read. Sometimes felt disjointed. Feel like she was on the cusp of telling us things and never quite made the point. But overall was thought provoking i would read more from noor
Inspiring and a call to action between the reader and the universe. I read the audiobook, and I felt that the swear words detracted from the message, and it read more like a memoir; there was a bit too much focus on failed love affairs rather than more practical advice.
Really wanted to love (even pre-ordered ) as I really enjoyed the previous book but it completely disappointed me , it was more her taking about her own life than any solid advice :(
