In volume 9 we get back to the tournament, and personally I have never been a fan of tournament arcs. Sure, the fights are well written, and give quiet a bit of exposition to the magic system and in some cases some interesting character development. It is just that the stakes are low, and the end result were very predictable. Add in that almost compulsory flashback in the middle of the fight about the (predictable) background of a minor side character we likely never see again and it just left me bored at times (especially chapter 1). The ending is very promising though and highlights what I like about the series, although it is a bit abrupt and feels like a cliff hanger of sorts even though it is more of a teaser of what is to come next. So, a decent read, but for me certainly not the best of the series.

Dans la lignée des volumes précédents, on continue sur le tournoi avec ici les demi-finales et finale des 3e années.
Je dois avouer avoir été peu emballé par les 3/4 du bouquin, les combats sont sympas mais pas super intéressants, malgré quelques bonnes idées de backstory notamment dans le premier combat.

Le vrai highlight est dans le dernier chapitre, qui pose plein de jalons super intéressants pour la suite que ce soit en termes d'évolutions de personnages (en particulier pour Nanao et Katie) ou d'univers (avec la première apparition d'une créature d'un autre monde).

After finding out the answer to life and death in a massive underground realm when they should have been resting, Oliver and Co head back up to the surface and resume fighting for the entire volume (as is customary now) in the final round of student tournament. This is a subtle reference to the horrors of Japanese work culture.

مقدمة كانت من وجهة مشرف الطلاب جودفري والثانية من وجهة نظر ديمتري سينسي معلم الفلك محادثته مع ثيودور عن معلومات يتم حصولها من قبل الدمية يوري ليك وشكوك ديمتيري اتجاه اوليفر وهذا الامر يلاحظه ثيودور في معركة الفصل الاول ويخمن ان اوليفر لديه سجلات معارك شديد خارج اكاديمية كيمبلي.

第一章 氷上舞踏

المعركة فريق هورن ضد فريق فارلو. بعد فوز فريق هورن في معركة السابقة في الدوري بدأت الجماهير وحتى الفرق التي هزمت تشجعهم للفوز. مسار هذه المعركة جديد كانت مختلفة خاصة ان الفصل نصفه وجهة نظر اوليفر والاخر لي يورشور فارلو قائدة فريق فارلو.

بدات يورشور تهاجم اوليفر باستعمال طريقة قتال كورتاي وهي نادرة جدا ومن يعرف اتقانها قلة فقط مع ذلك اوليفر قوي تحمل للألم جسدي والروحي ايضا لذا مهما تقاطع سيفه مع يورشور لم يكن الم قاسي عليه المشكلة هي ان يورشور تسفزه خلال قتال بكلمات قاسية جدا وغروها عالي بانها متفوقة عليه

وتسئ تعامل زملاء فريقها كدمى من خلال سيطرة عليهم هي بنفسها وتقسم وعيها,ولكنها عصبية بشدة وفقدت نفسها اثناء قتال من كلمات ناناو واوليفر لكشفهم حقيقتها انها تناقض نفسها عن قول ان زملائها مجرد دمى

سبب خسارتها كان قطعها لسانها ومن هناك لاتستطيع قول تعويذات وقررت تدخل بالقرب من مسار ناناو لتقضي عليها وتهزم.

يورشور ماضيها مؤلم جدا ,سؤال هنا هل لاتوجد شخصية ليس لها ماضي مؤلم في ناناتسوما؟ اعتقد انه لايوجد .......

第二章 少女と番犬

معركة فريق كورنيس ضد فريق اندرويوز. "من بداية الى النهاية كانت غير متوقعة"

-مشهد تدريب فاي و سو القاسي وكيف الحب بين مستذئب وساحرة امر غير مقبول. -اكثر امر مفاجئ هو قرار شيرا القتال بجدية لي أجل مساعدة اختها سو رغم انه سيكون مخالفة وعدها لي ثيودور.

الفصل الثالث "اخيرا" المعركة النهائية! بين فريق اندرويز و فريق هورن. كيف بتكون معركة واكوواكو.

وبالفصل الرابع اخيرا تقدم جانب رومانسي اعتراف ناناو

وغيرة تيريزا وطلبها للمبارزة ضد ناناو باخفاء هويتها

في الخاتمة اكتشفنا اقتراب كاتي من عالم الاخر وربما سوف تذهب لمرحلة خطيرة
