Freeing my wolf could cost me everything . . .

As a natural-born werewolf, I should have shifted years ago. Instead, I’m little more than a human.

Desperate to free my wolf, I leave my pack to seek the aid of a nearby witch coven. But when the meeting goes south, I run. Only to find out they’re hunting me.

There’s no one I can turn to for help, until I meet the devilishly handsome Kolton Rivers. He’s the wealthiest, most powerful alpha in America, leader of the Midnight Pack. But his violent reputation precedes him.

Unfortunately, a single touch from him starts to awaken my wolf.

When he offers me protection, I refuse it. Despite my wolf’s reaction to him, I don’t trust his motives. Then he offers me something I can’t walk away from. Help unleashing my wolf.

But his help comes at a price. If he succeeds in setting my wolf free, I must vow to give him something in return.

Me.

MIDNIGHT VOW is book one in the steamy Wolves of Midnight series, a paranormal wolf shifter romance and modern Hades and Persephone retelling. For fans of enemies-to-lovers, arranged marriage, fated mates, feisty heroines and morally gray men.

Not the best werewolf/magic story I’ve ever read…the world building is only okay and I would have preferred a stronger alpha male and support staff…but there is enough here to keep me going to book two.

I'm SO sorry that it took me THIS long to get to this book! My mood reader brain really did me dirty. This was spectacular! I loved it so much! The story/writing flows so well and the characters feel real. The story has stakes but it doesn't take away from the romance that's brewing right under the surface. This is the type of book I always dream of finding!

Vampires or werewolves? The age old question I cannot seem to answer. I thought the author’s A Touch of Vampire series had me leaning solidly for vampires, but that was before I met Kolton Rivers. What a man!

Okay, I know I say this at every Becky Moynihan book I read, but Midnight Vow might be my favorite she’s ever written. For starters, when I was introduced to the arranged marriage trope, I squealed. Nothing like a good deal between the protagonists to make you start shipping like there’s no tomorrow.

The characters are, once again, amazing and easy to love, and having them within a pack dynamic made everything extra special. I love family and found family bonds, and there was a lot of both in the Midnight Pack.

Another aspect I loved was how wolfish the werewolves actually were in their social structure and behavior. Not only does it lead to interesting interactions, but also to very spicy moments! There was a lot of hot stuff going on at a certain point in this book. *sighs* I love wolves. “Heat” and “knot” are two of my favorite words now.

Finally, I’m so curious to discover what’s the deal between two particular wolves. There’s a mystery to uncover there, and I love a good mystery.

In short, I have a new potential favorite series on my hands. Can’t wait for book 2! That cliffhanger was both cruel and exciting.

Thank you to the author for gifting me an eARC. Opinions are my own.

Parts of this were so cringe. The heroine was incredibly naive and stupid. I don’t understand how she could be so clueless about werewolves in so many ways when she is in fact one and grew up around them.

Ok I should have known I wasn’t going to really like this after the first few pages - but I trudged on and even read the second book but I won’t finish the next whenever it comes out. I would not recommend this book overall but at the same time other people may enjoy it so these are just my opinions. I will say the writing itself isn’t that bad - I have definitely read worse - but my issues are more with the story and plot points as opposed to the actual writing.

SPOILERS below so beware

Just to give you an overview of the start of the book and some of the high points — Nora the heroine is honestly pretty stupid at times, and she is constantly changing her mind which was annoying to read over and over. To start she is the one meeting the witches to try and release her wolf, and her monologue is constantly back and forth about how stupid she is for doing this when her family and pack told her to stay locked up on the full moon and she doesn’t even know these witches. Of course she figures out really quick they are not going to be helping her after one tastes her blood - so now she is trying to run and she jumps in a lake to get away from them. Once she gets back to her truck she decides to drive far away since she can’t go back home where the witches know she will go - so she drives from Vermont I think to maybe Albany? I think she just said NY but it wasn’t the city yet. She decides to go to club to blow off some steam since she is on the run and never done that before. I mean that is such a smart decision- go to a nightclub and dance with strangers when some witches are chasing you! She doesn’t even have clothes to change into and she says her hair is a mess and she smells like lake water. It was all just so ridiculous. Then of course the witches find her because they can track her blood - and as she is running away she runs into the Hero - the alpha of the midnight pack which covers all of NY - Kolton Rivers who is apparently incredibly famous and yet when he tells her she is in his territory of all of NY she still doesn’t know who he is? You are a werewolf and an incredibly famous alpha of the neighboring pack tells you, you are in his territory but you can’t figure out who he could be? Anyway he tells her he can help her and gives her his business card. She drives down to NYC to try and escape the witches again and of course gets robbed of everything but her phone and Kolton’s business card so she decides to call him for help, but then changes her mind before he gets there and she tries to run away but he knocks her out and kidnaps her. When she is awake she finds herself now in his home in Lake Placid which they flew to on his private jet. He tells her he can release her wolf if she agrees to marry him so he can save his family if he dies she will become alpha automatically and can kill whoever challenged him to remain alpha and protect his family. That part was incredibly confusing to me because if the big strong alpha Kolton is killed by a challenger how is Nora actually supposed to be able to survive the challenge as well? Anyway there was a bunch of other confusing details and plot points, and stupidity on Nora’s part. Her previous pack and alpha basically abused her and her family never really tried to help her if they were not complicit. She barely knows anything about werewolves apparently. Also she agrees to marry Kolton but never asks for any actual details of the agreement, like will they need to be a real couple and intimate, will they need to have children, how long will they need to be married? Etc. Then there is the other woman drama - Kolton is apparently a womanizer and helps some of the females in his pack during their heats - which is confusing all on its own because none of that is really explained well. Nora is of course upset and when she confronts Kolton about how their marriage will be he tells her basically helping the other women - specifically Jasmine - with her heats is just his responsibility as alpha but won’t say if he will stop after they get married.

So really all in all I would not recommend this series but if none of the things I mentioned above really bother you then make your own decision.

It was good, or maybe I just haven’t read a shifter book in awhile and missed them.

There were a lot of things that didn’t make sense with the way wolves worked. Like how they couldn’t smell certain things about people originally — but then randomly they could? Like this happened with 4 or 5 different things in the book lol. The magic / backstory just had a lot of plot holes.

I hated how much the female mc talked to herself as well until finally her wolf talked back to her than it wasn’t as unbearable.

I also did not like the ending at all. There was enough of a story in the chaotic relationship between the mcs and their families. We didn’t need the whole ridiculous witch thing randomly popping up and pretending to be relevant every 60 pages lol

This was definitely my favorite read this year! I read it twice because it was that good! You are instantly transported into the werewolf world. As you read, you become emotionally invested in the characters. I absolutely loved Nora and Kolton! Nora was so sassy and Kolton… he’s so hot but it was also nice to see a vulnerable side of him. I also loved Vi, she was one of my favorite characters as well! The plot was fast paced and flowed smoothly. And that cliffhanger… I am so excited for Book 2! I highly recommend this book if you like romance and werewolves!

I’m so glad I got to ARC read this book! Thank you so much Becky!

Ever since stumbling upon Shadow Touched I have been a fan of Becky Moynihan's writing. A top tier series. An instabuy author. And eventually, I will also get to her backlist. When I saw that she had a new book/series on the horizon, I immediately had to request an arc.

Midnight Vow was another fun supernatural fast-paced read. Full of all the gooey tropeyness. Only this time it's werewolves instead of vampires. I'm not as big of fan of werewolves. But I liked the different lore Becky brings.

Midnight Vow follows Nora who is a werewolf who has never shifted. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Which leads Nora straight into Alpha Kolton River's path. Kolton offers Nora protection and help releasing her wolf. But it comes with a price. And Kolton's reputation precedes him.

There were a few nitpicky things I personally didn't like or was annoyed by. Those things didn't really take away from my enjoyment of the story. I still very much dislike the word 'mate'. (Thanks a lot SJM.) Looking forward to book 2 and to see how strong our heroine really is.

DNF at 40%. The FMC just kept getting more pathetic and annoying the further I got into the book. All of her decisions were immature and she kept standing in her own way. I guess she was supposed to come off as a “strong” fmc but instead all i got from her was a terrible sassy attitude and a self-deprecating personality.

!!!SPOILERS BELOW!!

One thing that annoyed and confused me is when she self harmed herself then tried to run away after making a deal with the MMC. The deal was to marry him in return for him helping her free her wolf. She proved herself to be a flight risk who isn’t good at keeping herself out of danger so i understood when the MMC binded her to him during the deal. I also understood her initial anger about the binding considering she is a lunatic about wanting “freedom” and all but I just don’t understand how she went from considering and agreeing to the deal, seeming like she was fairly contempt with it, then the next night she hurts herself trying to run way with the excuse that she “felt like she had no other choice”. ??!?!! Her mind just kept changing like a light switch and the actions she made due to this was so extreme that I couldn’t take it anymore.

I also didn’t understand how fast she went from despising MMC to finally agreeing to the marriage after he did something like fix an object (her truck mind you) that she cherished. This action caused her to be under the impression that the pack is letting her have some of the “freedom” that craves but this thinking was just so naive in my opinion. She doesn’t understand at all that because of the stupid situations she’s gotten herself into with the witches and her original pack she will never get to have the kind of “normal life” and “freedom” that she wants.

I don’t like or hate the MMC but other reviews mentioned that by the end he still doesn’t have any true romantic feelings for the FMC and he sleeps with other pack members during their heat with the excuse of it being the “alpha’s responsibility”. This happening despite their marriage mind you. Like ???? Not what i expected him to be at all.

I received a copy as an ARC reader. I was hoping to finish in a few short days, but it was a bit difficult for me to get through.

Parts of me felt Nora was a YA character in an Adult urban fantasy series. It felt awkward with her reactions and behaviors.

I wanted more description instead of being “told” a story. I wanted to be IN IT.

The pacing was extremely fast. If you want a quick read then this is for you!

Overall the small bit we know about the world has peaked my interest. It is not typical werewolf mythology. I’d be interested to see the world built more.

Overall, 3 stars for me. Hoping book 2 is better!

In true Becky Moynihan fashion, she left me wanting so much more by leaving my fingers clawing on the edge of the cliff! I love how strong Nora is in this book. She’s a spitfire and totally independent, trying to find answers to why her wolf hasn’t emerged. In fact, while many answers were discovered, even more have come up now that she understands her wolf.

Not only is the greatest Alpha in America her guide to unleashing her wolf, he wants her to marry him. Nora grapples with the complex desire to let her wolf awaken, she also is intrigued by Kolten’s offer to protect her. Something she has never had in her life.

You must read this book. It was nonstop action from page one and seriously never lets up for the whole book. If you like werewolves and coming of age stories, this one should be on your TBR list now!

I am not ok after that ending!! I need book 2 now!!!
I devoured this book in a day. I couldn’t put it down! Nora and Koltons chemistry was perfection!! And what can I say… I’m a sucker for werewolves, especially smoking hot alpha ones 😬
This was fast paced with enough mystery (and spice) to keep you reading and I’m already desperate for more answers!! On a side note not only did I love the main characters but the side characters too! I’m even hoping some of them may get their own stories in the future 🤞🏻

I am so glad that I was able to get an ARC of this book! I read it in one evening and enjoyed every minute of it, as I have all of Becky's books! This one was a wolf-shifter romance that had witch elements along with identity reveals and some very nice slow burn. It was a fun and quick read that left me wanting more with a cliffhanger and slightly frustrated because I know this book isn't even out yet so it will be a while until the next book in the series is out.

As Becky knows, I am seriously OBSESSED with Nora, and I have been since the cover reveal because What. A. Cover. *swoon* I WANT TO BE HER! And I am honestly thinking about dyeing my hair so that it is at least a little bit red... 👀 But my love for her character grew after starting the book and just kept growing as I read. At first I loved her because she was taking the risk of leaving her family and seeking out answers as to why she is a full-blooded werewolf but she can't shift, even though she knew that her pack would be beyond angry with her for leaving them—all in the name of her safety, which they ensured by locking her in a freaking cellar. Then I started to love her because I started to understand her. She wasn't just seeking answers, she was questioning her every step along the way, whether she was doing the right thing or maybe she should just go back home. When she meets Kolton, and just his physical touch starts the shift in her, I was beyond intrigued! But I truly loved that she didn't really understand what was happening at first because her wolf had lie dormant her entire life up to that point, and even when she did understand, she still questioned whether she should make a deal with him that could lock her to him for life or whether it was worth it to be whole and worthy in the eyes of her people...not that she even thought about the fact that this man is beyond hot, attracted to her, and oh, yeah, the freaking ALPHA of the strongest pack in the country! 🥵🥵🥵

Once she agrees to a deal with Kolton, we see even more about her. We see how her pack truly mistreated her, not just locking her in a cellar to "keep her safe," but the degrading way that they spoke to her and ordered her around for her entire life, not to mention the scars that cover her torso from being attacked by one of them. All of this is set in striking contrast to how she is treated by Kolton's family and the inner circle of the pack. They treat her as a friend, even Jagger who doesn't trust her, as a member of their group, as a human being and not as lesser because her wolf isn't active, and they grow to treat her as a member of their family.

Throughout all of this growth on their side, Nora still struggles. She contemplates and even attempts running away a couple of times, but ends up making the decision and commitment to stay and *gulp* marry Kolton to help him secure his footing as Alpha of his pack among outsiders who are constantly trying to invade in exchange for his help releasing her wolf. One thing that she doesn't see right away is that she is also gaining their protection against the witches who hunt her—for reasons she doesn't know—and against her pack Alpha who hates her and wants to punish her for leaving; she also gains an entire pack—should Kolton be challenged and killed, which secures his family's safety—freedom, a true family, love, and confidence in who she is.

Like I mentioned before, this book ends on a cliffhanger, and I am morbidly curious to know what happens next! I cannot wait for the next installment!

Marking this as Will Not Finish so I don't ever accidentally read this book. OW drama. The MMC is married to the FMC, but still helps other pack members through their heats in that time. Then in the second book he won't help the FMC through her heat bc he'd have to knot her (like he does with OW), which means she could get pregnant, so how was he not getting the OW of his pack pregnant during their heats??? Do people really find this shit romantic? Like honestly? Have we just been conditioned to accept that this is how men are? Because it's not romantic at all, and women (even fictional women) deserve better.

DNF
Other one and two star reviews explain all my problems with this plot. So much work goes into writing a series and I am disappointed for the author because this is close to almost ok but I so wanted for Nora to not be stupid and to stop dithering. She had an impossible situation at home, was abused, (can I just say how tired I am of abusive, plot, development, devices, or plot development devices that are always so abusive of women, young girls. People can have other motivations to leave their family rather than being the victims of abuse, and this girl is just running around dithering with herself. But she does have the impossible situation at home and and someone has a solution for her and she knows it and she goes with them and then she runs away and then she finds him again because she needs them and then she runs away. How did her cell phone last, jumping in the river and make it all the way to New York? How did she have money to go all the way to New York and then go clubbing for craps sake with wet clothes, it made no sense over and over and over again so I put the book down just before the wedding, it’s like I’m done.

Before last year, it had been a really long time since I’d read a vampire or werewolf-focused series. I’d read books with them as side characters, but not really as main characters. They used to be my favorite types of series back in middle and high school, and then I just kind of stopped… but now I’m really wanting to get back into paranormal romance.

And it’s all because of Becky Moynihan.

Last year, I devoured her series A Touch of Vampire, so I was excited to find out she was doing another series set in that world about the werewolves. Midnight Vow did not disappoint. It was absolutely incredible.

Despite being an outcast her whole life, shunned by her pack because she cannot shift, Nora is this fierce, outspoken woman who isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. When her world collides with Kolton Rivers, the alpha of the largest pack in the country, she realizes that the closed-off life she’d been living doesn’t need to be all there is.

When Kolton claims he can free her wolf and help her shift, she’s wary but makes a deal. One that quickly spirals into more than she bargained for.

There is so much chemistry between these two. So much. From the beginning, it was tense. It was really fun seeing their relationship develop throughout the book and to see them both open up. They both have tragic pasts, which comes to light the closer they get, and that gives them just another thing to feel connected about.

The story was well written, the pacing was good, and the side characters were great. I really want to know more about them, which I’m assuming will happen in the next book. This one did end in a cliffhanger, so now I’m even more anxious for the sequel. I can’t wait for more.

Moynihan easily became of my favorite authors with her first series, which I ARC read too, and she continues to just amaze me. The stories and the characters are so well developed that it’s easy to get sucked in and feel attached. And somehow, she just keeps getting better. I think this might become my new favorite series by her. Then, again, I’ve said that with each one. 😂

If you like paranormal romance, definitely check this out. It has a lot of great action and intense scenes that make it difficult to put down. There is some steam, but it’s not the focus of the book. Midnight Vow is very much plot and character based, with a little bit of spice sprinkled in. It’s somewhat of a slow-burn, but well worth the wait.

And you don’t need to read the other series to jump in with this one. It’s completely separate, just in the same world. Though, I do recommend the other one too, especially while waiting for Midnight Claim to release.

Midnight Vow by Becky Moynihan is a truly captivating read that had me hooked from beginning to end. I devoured the book in a single day, unable to tear myself away from its pages. The story revolves around Nora, a resilient fighter with a difficult past, and Kolton, a man who defies the stereotypes placed upon him. Nora's combination of strength and timidity, along with Kolton's caring nature masked by his own fears, adds depth and complexity to their characters.

While the steamy moments in the book were undeniably thrilling, what impressed me the most was the overall development of the characters and the plot. Becky Moynihan takes the time to introduce the readers to the characters, allowing us to truly understand their backgrounds and motivations before plunging into the passionate encounters. This delicate balance creates a satisfying reading experience where the steamy scenes are enhanced by the deep emotional connection we have developed with the characters.

Midnight Vow transported me to a vivid world where reality melted away, immersing me in an unforgettable experience. I found myself fully invested in the lives of Nora, Kolton, and the intricate dynamics of their world. The author's skilled writing created a level of engagement that had me laughing out loud and even acting out the characters' interactions. I was deeply connected to the story, as if I were a part of it myself. The book left me yearning for more, eagerly anticipating the next installment and hoping to explore additional characters. The idea of encountering a whole pack of similar wolves would be nothing short of amazing!

In conclusion, Midnight Vow is a remarkable novel that expertly weaves together romance, character growth, and a captivating storyline. With its perfect balance of steamy moments and meaningful character development, this book is a must-read for fans of immersive werewolf romance novels. I wholeheartedly recommend it and can't wait to see what the next installment holds.

An awesome page-turner!!

I really loved this take on Werewolves!! It’s so different and very creative!

I love Nora and Kolton and their complicated relationship. Sometimes I get frustrated with Nora’s decisions, or reaction to things, but then I remember that this girl has been made to feel like a nothing, actually worse, like a freak. She been mentally and physically abused and is in the dark so much about werewolves, even though she is one. Kolton fights his feelings about Nora and it’s not easy on her. But I say it’s worth waiting it out and getting through things with him because he is absolutely yummy, can be very sweet and protective.

I also love Vi, or Violet, Kolton’s sister. She is so good to Nora and is always trying to help her. I like Griff, or Griffin, too. Although sometimes he’s like a big kid. I didn’t get to know Melanie, Kolton’s little sister, very much, but she is super cute! And Jagger is definitely a hard one to get to know, but I look forward to getting to know him more as the series continues.

I am DYING for book two!! I love Moynihan’s books and I’m so excited that she’s writing this werewolf series!! If you enjoy werewolves, paranormal romance, romantic suspense and friends & family in a werewolf community, YOU. WILL. LOVE. THIS. BOOK!!

As a fan of Becky Moynihan’s writing, I was happy to get my hands on Midnight Vow. Her writing style is so immersive the pages seem to comes alive around you until you feel like your right in the middle of story, experiencing everything right along with the characters.

Midnight Vow focus on Nora—a werewolf with a wolfy problem that separates her from her pack. All she wants is to belong even if that means making a few questionable decisions. Unfortunately for Nora, those decisions get her into trouble, and the only way out of it is to make a deal with alpha werewolf Kolton—which brings a whole new set of troubles to the table.

I don’t want to give to much away, so I’ll just say this book is wicked good and full of twists and turns, a little heartbreak, and some spicy steam, with an intriguing and different take on werewolves that had me turning the pages well into the wee hours of the night. I can’t wait to discover more in the world Becky has created, so all that’s left to say is bring on book two.

I freakin’ LOVED this book!

Truth be told, I don’t often read books about werewolf shifters. I don’t know why, for whatever reason it just doesn’t normally appeal to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But, when it’s a book written by an author I’ve read before and whose work I’ve loved, I’m willing to give it a go! And I’m so glad I did! I absolutely loved this story!
There’s really nothing about this book that I didn’t like. I loved the storyline, the characters, the magic and suspense, the revelations; just everything!
I especially enjoyed the unique take on werewolves in this book! They’re a bit different and more complex than the average werewolf I’ve read about in other books, and I thought that was pretty neat!

This story was exciting from beginning to end and is 100% worth the read! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good slow-burn, YA, paranormal romance and who’s looking for a story where it’s easy to get lost in the pages!
This was a great start to what’s sure to be an incredible series and I’m already super excited for book 2!

This book is a surface level pnr, with okay characters and a decent plot. It has the markings of a good storyline, but somehow the author missed it in execution.

✅️ top alpha of America
➡️ but nothing to showcase he is the strongest.

✅️ billionaire
➡️ but he isn't shown working. Only that he is on phonecalls.

✅️ sassy damnsel in distress
➡️ but only for the first half. Nora is more of a flighty and a floaty girl for the rest of the book.
I was more of a “do first, think later” kind of gal.
We got that, Nora.

✅️ pretend marriage
➡️ author did not explore this trope as it should've been

✅️ fated mates/soulmates
➡️ There is no possessiveness shown. None of the animalistic instincts that shifter do possess.

✅️ secrets, secrets!
➡️ but no thrill in the mystery.

Overall, average.

Wow!! Just wow!!

I was graciously gifted this book as an arc for an honest review.

Please note: I am not the author Becky, I am another Becky

What an incredible new story! I absolutely adore the characters.

Nora is so relatable with a dash of sass and a whole lot of badass.

Kolton…let me tell you. He is my fave thus far and so so yummy.

This has some incredible “who did this to you” “if you touch her I’ll kill you” ‘arranged marriage’
‘werewolves’ ‘jealousy’ (don’t lie, we all love that 😜) and storyline.

Becky’s writing just keeps getting better and better. The world she builds and the characters are truly outstanding.

A definite auto buy author and I will be picking up Becky’s other novels asap.

Thank you again for gifting me this x

once again, i am utterly obsessed with becky’s writing and the badass characters she creates within her novels!!!!

this was the werewolf romance of my dreams! i mean, it has enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience, forced proximity, who did this to you? anddddd, touch her and die… so you already know that i was IMMEDIATELY sold!!!!

nora is such a girl boss, i adored how fierce and independent she was and the tension between her and kolton (the alpha of the deadliest pack) was phenomenal!!!!! i absolutely loved every second of their slow burn romance and am sitting with bated breath to continue their story in book two!

Okay Angels,

This book has officially been one of my favorite reads this year.

I literally was dragged into this world from page one and I’m obsessed. Nora is such an amazing protagonist and I finally found a character I relate to just as much as I do McKenna.

I had a hard time putting down this book. I got through this book in less than a day and I am so ready for more.
I am truly grateful to have had the chance to Arc Read this.

If you love enemies to lovers and spicy werewolf books you’ll definitely love this series.

I cannot wait to see what Becky comes up with next. ❤️

Your going to absolutely Freaking Love This Book!!

I couldn’t put it down. Was instantly hooked and thrown into the lives of Nora and Kolton Rivers. I became inthralled with the characters and their storyline. Placing myself into the lives of these characters and become emotionally invested. I can’t wait to continue reading this series when the next books come out in the future. Definitely worth a read for any romance wolf shifter book lover person out there. Can’t wait to explore these characters more in the future. Love Love Love this Book.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!

A very intense and spicy shifter romance! It's not the greatest in terms of world-building or plot, but I am very invested in these two and the family in general.

I enjoyed most of the book, with the small exception of some of the things that Nora did - she is not my favorite protagonist but I can deal with her because I really enjoy this kind of weird plot and I love Kolton and his family.

Overall, if you're looking for a fun and spicy read with werewolves, then here you go. Be warned there's a cliffhanger ending though!

I forgot how immature and TSTL some FMCs could be... And the last TSTL move towards the end of the book brought this down an extra half star to 2.5☆. 🤦‍♀️

I just completed an HP fanfic binge (Not the pure smut fics but the ones with amazing storylines and even better writing that(!!!) rivals published books)

And I just realized that these fanfics have spoiled me SO MUCH with intelligent characters and amazing plot lines and/or character development that are difficult to find in even published books.

Sigh.

Sorry, this isn't even a book review of the book I was reading anymore lol
