Ria is safe and sound from her potential kidnappers thanks to Asisi’s swift rescue, but she’s left with more questions than ever about the Guardian Knight. What’s the story behind his scar-riddled back? And why does everyone act so strangely when she tries to bring it up? Ria’s determined to get to the bottom of things―even if it takes every last one of her princess charms!
This volume had some weird time jumping. There were a couple spots where a couple years seem to go by without clearly stating it. It confused me a bit. I also got a little confused by the pace of the ending chapters. It almost made it feel like it was disjointed from the story, almost like a quick wrap up of the story. But from what I can see there's a volume six coming out in a couple months so clearly it's not trying to tie up loose ends. I'm just not 100% sure what the author was trying to do with that last chapter.
Ria has survived her encounter with assassins thanks to Asisi, but Caitel is out for blood and Asisi doubles down on his protection duties.
But even with this excitement, life moves on and soon Ria is seven.
There's a lot of talking in this one, not a lot of action. Still worried that this is going to go in a weird direction in a romance sense, and I kinda wish that Ria would either age faster, or have more events. No offense, "babysitting the twins" isn't interesting if the only thing that happens is Asisi gets sexily splashed when trying to bathe them.
Caitel may be even more childish than Ari in man ways as he is clearly jealous of Asisi. Silvia telling childhood stories is adorable, though her twins seem to be a handful. Hopefully Ari can continue to learn about the people in her life and navigate this new world before it ends in disaster. She'll have some unlikely challenges to that however with Caitel unexpected taking away her knight.

As always, loved it! In this volume, we see Ria’s relationship with her guardian knight grow, as well as Ria herself. Can’t believe she is already 7! 😭 I know she has to grow up eventually, but I love seeing all the adults in her life react to her cute, little princess charms. Can’t wait for the next volume.
Finally getting more backstory on Asisi made my heart hurt. He’s such an amazing character and he deserves all the love. I hope they can all learn to heal now that Athy is in the picture. They all deserve a big break.
Rino, ilustrator Daughter of the Emperor, tampaknya lebih menyukai pink tone sekarang.
