In 2025, life seemed normal until devious plan was set in motion. The rulers had a secret plan to move to the Moon and turn the Earth into their slave colony. First they switched off the electricity and faked their deaths, so no-one would notice their relocation. Vibrations from the Moon dumbed people down, making them into obedient savages, too stupid to see the plot. Generations accustomed to the internet, television, phones, and technology, reduced to basic animal behavior.
But few people paid attention to their thoughts and managed to save their minds from the influence. They were arrested and taken to the Moon as slave prisoners, but no-one noticed they were different. No-one human, that is. Native inhabitants of the Moon saw their potential, and after Rosie, Eric and Ann helped the Mellny save their children from the rulers' hands, the Mellny decided to return the favor.
With powerful minds and fully evolved, Rosie, Eric and Ann will go back to Earth and try to make a difference. But what can three people do?

I loved this book! It's not the genre I usually read at all but it started right in the middle of the conflict and kept me wanting to read more at all times. This book is great for any reader with its original plot and characters. I really hope there will be another to continue this story and I cant wait to read more of Barbara Rayne's books!

I won this in a give-away, and was interested because it is not like the kinds of books I normally read. Rayne wastes no time jumping right into this story. From the very get-go you are wrentched into a whirlwind of crazy events that have you on the edge of your seat. Even though this is a work of fiction, it had me thinking a lot about what life would really be like if we were all cut off from electricity. How scared, confused, and lost would we all be? I do not usually read a lot of books in this genre, but Evolve captured my interest and made me want to try reading more books from this genre. The only thing I had a little trouble with was the style of writing. It is a little different than some of the styles of authors I have read before, but overall the writing style/language did not take a away from the story.

This is not the type of book I normally read, but a friend of mine recommended it to me and I figured I would give it a chance. It was a pretty fast read and I was impressed at how much I liked it. I really do hope the authour continues the book. The ending was a bit abrupt and I was sad that the story wasn't fully completed. I enjoyed the book and it was interesting at the story and plot line that was created since it was from scratch and it was very imaginative. The descriptions are very creative and very visionary.

I cant't say this is a spoiler alert, because I didn't make it past chapter 3. I received this book as part if a Good Reads giveaway. Rarely do I come across a book that I cannot finish, but this was one of them. Based on the description, I had high hopes for this book. In the first few paragraphs we learn that most of Canada, North America and Brazil have been wiped out by a tsunami. But three days later, on page two, when the electricity goes, out the main character doesn't even have a candle available to light her house? It may be because I live in an area that gets hit by hurricanes quite often so we are prepared for power outages, food shortages, etc, that I simply don't understand the actions of these characters. Not only could I not relate to the characters, but the writing style also turned me off, so I decided to put it down and not continue.

The plot is in itself a promising one, but the book is written to fast. Once the main characters get their superpowers all suspens is gone. It is a repetition of the mind control tricks until the book is finished.
