So you want to know about me... well I'm an ex-erotic author. I was multi-published with several publishers, under a different name, until I became disillusioned with the whole industry and I'm a little cynical about it at times. Yet I still have a passion for the written word, especially sexy ones, which is why I still dabble. I created my blog to share my passion.
I'm a married SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) with two kids and my adoring hubby, who is a book-a-ohlic too. At least he understands my addiction. lol.
I will start by saying that I have not read a lot of erotic books. I found a challenge this year for just that and decided…why not. This was my first erotic book that I read and reviewed.
This may have been a shorter book than I am used to coming up at just 25 pages, but it was very good. Everyone likes fairy tales that are told through their lives. This book includes those same fairy tales that we have all heard as a child or watched Disney make movies out of…..only with an erotic/sexual twist. This is NO ordinary fairy tale book and is NOT to be read or read to children under 18 years of age. Personally I liked the twists the author put on the fairy tales. It was a grown up version, that to be honest with you, I had often thought or wondered about. I mean come on, there was more than one way Snow White could persuade the hunter to let her live and for the Princess and the Frog to live happily ever after! This book just shows that someone else felt that same way and made these classic “kid” versions of fairy tales into a more “adult” way of looking at things.
I was not sure I would truly enjoy this book, being the genre it was, but was surprised to learn it was a very good book. It had story to it and was not just about the sex either. Also it included most of the classic fairy tales in a condensed version. Author did a great job!
Stupid. slutty. whorish. gay. total waste of ones time. why the eff was this published and how!?. you pick this up you better be ready to kill yourself to end the misery...
All the author did for these fairy tales was create new charcacter names in some of the stories, make them few pages long each, and wrote the EXACT same sex scene (attempted to do so anyway) for all of them!! Prince charming was a manwhore with 5 fiances whom he couldn't choose between, Snow white...DON'T GET ME STARTED!! (all i can say is that she has a job as a future prostitute-her first client starting off as the huntsman *coff*). The little mermaid really seemed to enjoy a chance to get rid of her fins let's just leave it at that...
This short had a lot of potential. It just didn't succeed in my opinion. There were several proofreading issues in every "fairytale". The stories each seemed more like the regular stories with sex added in. The addition of sex doesn't make it erotic. It just makes it adult. Out of all of them, I only liked Rum. It was a twist on the original story that I enjoyed. The rest I could have done without.
The Book to me was ok.. It was the erotic retelling of fairy tales.. I mean they were good but they were a little light on the erotic and kind of short.. lol.. but over all I did like the stories.. :) They were light and fun to read.. something out of my normal read.. I might would read more from this Author..
this is a short-stories book I found on my nook and to be fair when you search 'fairies' they should be a little bit more specific because I knew it meant fairy tales but I thought it was just about fairies not the fairy tales of movies/cartoon movies I watch as a little kid.
This book was okay to me. It is a remake of fairy tales for adults. They are erotic so if you have not read them before you have been worned. It is very short about 25-30 pages. I got it for free from the bn.com for my nook.
I downloaded this as a freebie from B&N. I wanted to like this book but the grammatical errors started in the intro and continued throughout the entire book. The stories are short, but after reading a couple, they start to blend together and sound the same.
I picked this up in the B&N free selection. It wasn't bad, fairly amusing, adult twists. I'd have preferred more actual story in each of the short tales, but I can understand why there wasn't, after all the whole point was the twist.
while the stories themselves were written well, if there was a proofreader then that person should be fired on the spot, presents intead of the word presence and many more like this just had me so distracted I couldn't enjoy the short tales....
